Zuko
I drove home my mind and wolf still floating in the sky from the time she asked for my number. I know it was a logical reason but nonetheless I have her number. I sighed believing I could die happy right now. That is until I got home and my dad was there. Great I thought looking at my seemingly irritated dad. “What?” I asked annoyed at my Dad letting himself in. How did he even get inside I have never given him a key? He better have not broken a door or a window. “There was a fight at school today, and Delta had to break it up. I thought I told you to handle any fights!” Val was practically yelling at the end of that sentence. He was more like my Alpha then my Dad at this point. Zero whimpered a little at Val’s tone. “Well I’m sorry O’ great and powerful High Alpha but I wasn’t expecting to find my mate today either!” I also was yelling at the end of that. Like father like son I suppose. A shocked look was my father’s response. He then frowned and started pacing the room I could tell he was mind linking someone. I figured it probably was Beta and Delta.
As I waited for father to speak I found myself comparing me to him. He was 6 ½ feet tall and like me had black hair. His hair was waist long and was currently in a braid. Also like me he was Native American but unlike me his eyes were forest green. I had my mother’s eyes or so I am told it has been so long and I was pretty young at that time, so I don’t remember her that well. My father’s muscles, to my dismay, were bigger than mine witch made him kind of intimidating.
A knock at the door signaled the arrival of the Beta and Delta. My father, seeing how I didn’t move a muscle went to answer the door. Just like I thought in walked Beta Trek, and Delta Kieran but who I didn’t expect was my chosen Beta Ezio and my chosen Delta Mace. (Chosen Beta and chosen Delta means exactly as it sounds. In the Dawnfall Shadows pack the future alpha is related to the current alpha by blood but the Beta and Delta are chosen by the alpha. That way you can be sure that the big three; Alpha, Beta, Delta; get along.) Ezio is the son of Delta Kieran and Mace is a former lone wolf who has saved my life on more than one occasion. Once they were all settled in my living room Val finally asked the million-dollar question, “Who is your mate?” I took a deep wary breath and glanced over at Ezio. He gave me an encouraging nod, “Seraphina Vasiliev” I finally said. My father and Beta got confused looks. “I don’t know a wolf named Seraphina Vasiliev” Val said. “I know her but she is no wolf,” Delta responded. Val gave him his full attention, “She is a Vampire noble cousin to the Vampire Queen Kira Vanderstine” Delta said.
I was surprised She is the cousin to the Queen! I thought. Our mates a Royal our mates a Royal. Zero chanted excitedly in my head. “What is with Vampires and last names starting with a V?” Beta Trek said exasperated. “If you have to know, only royals have a last name starting with a V” Delta said. I looked towards my father who hadn’t said a word. “This is great,” he finally said, “This way Vampires and Wolves will have more than just a treaty to keep our people at peace. Now they will have a marriage.” “Dad I just met her! She doesn’t even know what a mate is! We’ve barely talked I don’t even know if she likes me!” I ranted. Val looked at Kieran “Understood alpha,” Delta Kieran said, “I will talk about mates but it will be a week before I can teach that lesson. And I am sure she will pick it up pretty quickly. She is very smart, and she has certainly done a lot of research on werewolves. I mean she was really prepared for class.” “My Daughter-in-law is sounding better and better. Its ok it can wait a week” “Dad seriously Daughter-in-law, I haven’t even dated her yet” I sighed exasperated. My father gave me a look that basically said to take her out on a date soon. I groaned internally I should definitely hold off on taking her to meet my Dad. Who knows what he could say to her. I am also glad mate’s not here she definitely would be scared off from this kind of talk. Zero said. I agree wolf I totally agree.

“This is great,” Val finally said, “This way Vampires and Wolves will have more than just a treaty to keep our people at peace. Now they will have a marriage.”
“NO!!!!!” I backhanded the seeing stone sending it rolling on the ground. I grabbed the table it was on, smashing it against the wall. My magic sent out a wave that destroyed everything else in the room save for the seeing stone. “I refuse to let this happen” I growled out. “I will stop this if it is the last thing I do” Which is highly unlikely, after all it is really hard to kill me. I picked up the seeing stone and looked in seeing the one called Zuko coming up with excuses. “It seems I have a bit of time to remedy this” I pondered aloud. I draw my strength from the war and strife between the Vampires and the Werewolves and right now they are only bound by a slip of measly paper, but marriage is a harder thing to break. I am going to need some demonic help though. I summoned my book of summons and flipped through till I found the perfect demon.
Grougaloragran – demands strict obedience and loves to punish anyone. Specifically those who anger, annoy, talk back to him or disobey him or his master. Favorite punishments includes: Flogging (whipping), heart/organs torn out of chest, and burning alive.
“Perfect” I said, I then proceeded to summon him.
“I Nox Darkbringer summon Grougaloragran!”
“Vokol le segura tara, Vokol le segura tara, Vokol le segura tara!”
The ground quaked and cracked one giant meaty hand burst through and out came a hideous monster covered in a dark slimy substance. It had bat-like wings, completely black eyes, a mouthful of sharp teeth and its feet looked like a lions. Two horns were protruding from its forehead, one was broken the other was covered in bloodstains. A whip was hanging from its belt and its pants were ragged and dirty also with bloodstains. The creature wore no shirt, so I could see all the muscle that it had. The summon spell then put a metal collar around its neck and a tattoo on my wrist.
I laughed darkly
“This is going to be fun”
