Chapter 4

                                                                                Zuko

          My mate my freaking mate. I couldn’t believe it. When the bell rang alerting us to head to class I didn’t want to leave her in the hall outside the office, and unless I was imagining things she didn’t want to leave either. We found our mate! Zero said. I know wolf and she is a vamp how am I going to explain this to her. Just tell her she’s ours, that will work… Right? Wrong Zero very wrong that could scare her off. Oh good thing I am not in charge right now, I couldn’t agree more Zero.

          Entering my first class of the day which was apparently Vampire 101. Looking around I could see that all my classmates consisted of werewolves. Spotting Ezio I immediately took the seat next to him. “So what’s she like?” Ezio asked in a teasing tone. I glared at him but chose to answer in the pack link “Amazing dude just amazing” “You only helped her out of the car and you hardly talked to her how do you know she’s amazing?” Ezio said also in the link “You’ll understand when you have a mate” I responded. “I suppose I will” He said. Just then the bell rang signaling the start of class and the teacher waltzed into the room. Based on the look of him he most definitely was a vampire.

          “Good morning class, I am your teacher Vladimer Smirnov. You can call me Vlad or Mr. Smirnov which ever you are the most comfortable with,” he said with a slight Russian accent. My nose alerted me before I saw her as in walked in my mate Sia. “This is Seraphina Vasiliev, my teacher’s aide, feel free to ask her any questions about the lessons. Seraphina If you would take the desk near mine and tomorrow I will have something for you to do.” She nodded and proceeded to take her seat which sadly was not near mine that made Zero annoyed that I didn’t Have the foresight to sit over there. How could I have known Zero? I told my wolf he harrumphed then was quiet.

          Vladimer then launched into his lesson “Vampires, what do you know about them?” No one responded, “Don’t be shy,” He continued. Ezio raised his hand. “Vampires are immortals that drink blood” Ezio said. “Very good,” Vlad responded, “anything else?” Another wolf raised their hand “They are murderers who drain the life of anyone around them” the she-wolf said with obvious venom in her voice. “That is a response I expected” Vlad said, “but in actuality we are not that different from werewolves. Werewolves like vampires are killers they kill animals and put their carcasses over a fire and after it is cooked they eat the animal, though the animals as you call insane wolves just eat the animal raw. Therefore we are not that different.” Another wolf raised their hand “Yes?” “But werewolves don’t attack humans, not including the animals of course” Vlad politely responded “We Vampires call those Blood Killers. They are much similar to vampires you hear of in horror stories. Normal vampires usually drink ordinary animal blood. In case of major injury normal vampires drink human blood that has been donated the same way one would donate to a hospital.” Vlad continued to brief us on the overview of vampires lightly touching on all the points he would teach us.

          The bell rang and the students gathered their Vampire 101 books and exited the classroom. I waved to Sia who waved back then left the classroom. Zero wanted me to follow her but I had a private question for the teacher. “Vlad,” “Yes” He responded. “Has there ever been a werewolf that was mated to a vampire?” I asked. He didn’t have to ponder my question. “Yes, actually my wife is a werewolf who I am the mate of,” “I see” I responded. “Let me guess,” he said, “Your mated to a vampire.” “Yes I am.”

“To who?”

“Sia”

“Ahh to Seraphina” He paused for a moment “Be gentle with her she has been thorough a lot.”

“Like what?”

“You should ask her that question. Now off to your next class” I thanked him then headed off to my next class.
