Rough skin glides up the sensitive parts of my inner thighs I never thought were possible to reach. My back presses against a hard chest the only thing I can hear are our shallow breaths and hard thumping of our heartbeats. Our bodies were warm against one another's and only ignited with more heat with each gaining touch. The tip of his tongue leaves a trail of cool air up the arch of my neck and a moan escapes. His reaction was to smile against my skin with a deep chuckle. "I see I still have an effect on you, Caro," his teeth sink slowly into my neck as his hands find my hips with a rough grip. He presses his erection into the curve of my ass letting out a groan. "You definitely look better than high school, but most of all, your curves filled out in all the right places." I turned back, looking at those smokey eyes of his with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, you don't look bad yourself, Kent." I pressed my ass back, hearing a moan escape his lips. He grabbed my shoulder, pressing me into the mattress face down. He was a lot stronger than before, and the added weight made a mess in my satin shorts. He pressed his erection into my ass grinding down against my sensitive cunt. We both let out a groan this time. He started a grinding rhythm that I met with each raise of my hips. He kept one arm pressed against my shoulders as the other hand slipped underneath me finding my c**t through the thin fabric of my shorts. His slow circular presses matched with his thrusts and I was seeing stars. "Your body still responds so f*****g well. It's like you were made for me, Mae." My breath hitched in my throat as I felt that buildup approaching. "You've always been mine, Mae." With that my head pressed into the pillow as my ass pressed into his c**k; the release was one of the best I've ever had. *** *pat* *pat pat* I shook my head groaning before pushing a ball of fluff that decided to sit right on my throat. "The hell Jinx!" I yelled seeing her raise her tail at me and make sure to see her asshole. "Mean ole ca-" I sat up feeling a slick feeling between my legs. Throwing the sheets off my laps I witnessed the mess I made in my panties. "No no no no! f**k!" I threw my legs off the side of the bed looking down at my discarded clothes from last night. A pain shot through my head remembering my drunken night. "It wasn't that embarrassing, but then I have a wet dream about that stupid smug asshole! UUUGH" I groan slipping out of my clothes. I grab the discarded ones from the floor and place them in my laundry basket making a note I should probably wash some soon since my 'to be folded' pile is getting low. Shower. Shower. I have work at noon and it's 9:16 now. Shower. After feeling completely rejuvenated after a burning hot shower even Satan would find insane, I began my hair care routine to have my curls more defined and voluminous. My skincare was next and I decided today's makeup to have a more sultry look rocking the fox eye I love to wear so well. I undid the towel wrapped around my clean skin and found a black slit skirt and a black fitted top accessorized with gold-stackedd jewelry. "Dr martens or chunky heels?" I asked Jinx whose attention was focused on the mockingbird flying to and from the tree and yard. I chose the heels and strapped them on grabbing the necessities and putting them in my mini coffin purse that was a gift from Jo last Christmas. Locking up the house I walked to my black Kia and placed everything on the passenger seat. Seatbelt? Check! Mirror? Check! Bad Omens? f*****g CHECK! I reversed and headed toward the shop that was about 15 minutes away from my place. *** Thanksgiving break 2010 My break was a lonely one. I'd usually be spending my week back and forth from Jo and Olivia's house gossiping and doing weird dances because why not? Here I am sketching a hyena in my sketchbook while rocking to 'Back to December' since TaylorSwift'ss new album has been the majorbreak-upp album for how I'm feeling about my friendship. I felt a buzz notification from my phone and glance down in shock. Jo Hey Can you call? I immediately press the call button feeling like I was ina constant loop from all the ringing I was hearing. "Hello?" I hear Jo's soft voice answer. I reply with a quiet "Hi" back and silence takes over the few seconds. "I am so sorry Maeve! I've been such a terrible friend. Olivia is so angry and like I get it because I've been rejected by a guy I've liked before and it is the worse! BUT I should've never left you hanging like that! You are my best friend as well. I love you Maeve! I am so so sorry for being a bad friend", she sobbed into the phone as I myself had tears running down my cheeks. "I love you too Jo", I said and we began laughing hysterically. "Wanna come over?" "Of course!" *** December 2010 "I f*****g love Christmas time! Mariah Carey, Hot chocolate, cuddling under blankets with hot boys!" Jo clasped her gloved hands together. See Christmas time in little ole Mississippi isn't very white Christmas unless you count our white sandy beaches. It doesn't get very cold maybe low 30's but we make sure to have a Gumbo ready to keep us warm. "Christmas is a hoax. It's just a way to make middle andlower-classsfamiliesy broke for spending money on gifts and dumb corporations and keep them even more broke", I stated with a finger pointed up and nose turned up. "I agree with Maeve. Christmas is a joke", Oakley agreed snacking on a sausage biscuit from the cafeteria. His swoopy bangs were laid down with a maroon Neff beanie and his jacket was light compared to all of our fauxfur-linedd jackets. "Well then I guess I need to return y'all's presents", Cooper said sniffling a bit and wiping a fake tear. "Hold up, hold up, hold up! WAIT! I mean... you don't HAVE to do that. I'm poor I'll take any gift I can get!" I popped up from my seat giving him an angelic smile batting my lashes. "That's what I thought. Oakley?" Connor turned to him. "Fine. Christmas is like so cool", he said in a Valley girl voice before Connor tackled him to the ground laughing. *** "Hey! Hey! How is business today? How are y'all?" I asked walking into the shop and waving to Aisha. "Busy we are a quarter away from goal, but it's been steady foot traffic", Aisha smiled confidently as she finished checking out another customer. I stopped in my tracks hearing the news. "And this is why I love my staff! You did amazing!" I clapped before heading toward my office. I placed my bag on my chair sitting down to start the daily paperwork before feeling three short buzzes from my phone. Unknown Number Hey Maeve. It's Oakley. Lunch today. I saved the number as "The Asshole" before deciding to reply to the message. Ya know f**k apple for having the 'read receipts' on because I always forget to turn it off. I replied "No. I'm at work" and he read it immediately. The Asshole Cool. See you soon. I groaned out leaving my phone on the desk before grabbing the Visual Merchandise packet to start working on spicing up our fixtures for new products. I'm surprised how much time had passes since starting it. I was on a roll and felt fired up getting my checklist done. I got to the last page of 12 and realized we were getting something new. "Oooh new skincare!" I said excitingly as I read over the product list. "Sounds super exciting", I felt a face close to mine but immediately recognized the voice. I turned my face to see a chin resting on my shoulder wearing that grin as he looked down at my paper. "The f**k Oak? I'm at work!" I harshly whispered as I threw the packet down on my pull cart full of new products. "You can't just show up here!" "Sorry you weren't answering my messages. Anyway, lunch let's go", he stated arrogantly. "First of all, no. Second, I am AT WORK. Third, I was ignoring your annoying ass", I glared noticing his more casual attire of black tank, grey short sleeve button up, and black shorts. He seemed more relax than his past self. "Damn... that's how you talk to a paying customer", his hand placed on his chest in mock offense. I took a deep breath closing my eyes before sporting my best customer service smile. "I'm sorry sir you are completely right. How can I help you today?" I asked my voice an octave higher as I clasped my hands in front of my legs. "Ew. Don't ever do that to me again." He gave a look of disgust before leaning forward. "Ya know you look really good like this", his eyes scanned my outfit up to my face admiring my makeup. "Better than how shitfaced you looked last night." My eyes widened in embarrassment and I hit his chest lightly with the back of my hand. He is still such an ass. "Fine. Lemme get my stuff, but you're driving and paying," I said as I strutted myself to my office. I could feel his eyes lingering on me most likely on my legs or ass, but as I turned around his attention was on different products around the store. I grabbed my bag and slipped my phone in my bag making my way to the front register and clocking out for lunch. "Aisha I'm taking an early lunch. I'll be back for five. Let Steph know when she comes in, okay?" I noticed Aisha smiling as she nodded her eyes skimming back and forth between the two of us. I could see the curiosity in that small smile she was trying to hide. We walked out the door toward a black civic and I made my way to the passenger side. His hand reached the handle before me and he ushered me inside while I stared at him bewildered. Since when did Oakley Kent have manners? "Taco Sombrero sound good?" He asked slipping his shades on. I nodded and he put the car in reverse. Ya know the sexy way when they put their hands on the passenger headrest and look back. He looked so delicious while looking back and flashbacks of my wet dream came flashing through my mind. I breathed in slowly looking forward as we drove. He took note of the tinge of pink on my cheeks and was curious what this was all about. I was a quiet person except when around him. I always had something smart to say but right now I was quiet trying to avoid my mind going back to that steamy dream. "So... I'm a bit surprised you aren't like saving trees in the sss or like owning an animal shelter", he started off glancing at me over his sunglasses. His hands gripped the wheel as he weaved through cars along the beach. "Sorry I'm not living up to your standards." I heard a sigh as he continued driving. "I liked saving animals, but I felt lost in college. I decided to drop out and work at the store I'm at. It was part-time to full-time then assistant manager and now I managed. I enjoy my job." "But you don't love it." "Ya know I don't think I love anything Oakley." I snapped at him looking out the window as we pulled through the drive-thru. We ordered our food and made it back to the shop's parking lot in silence. "Look... We should probably talk about Graduation night", He muttered looking at the empty box of tacos he wolfed down. I looked at my half-empty coke and glanced up to find him staring at me. "That was almost 10 years ago. It doesn't matter", I whispered taking a sip and glancing at the shop doors. "It does. I shouldn't have said such harsh things when you were in such a vulnerable position." He said running his hands through his slicked-back hair. "Vulnerable? We had s*x, Oakley. We f****d and then you told me that I'm not the type of girl men fall in love with. I'll never be able to love or be loved. That's what YOU told me!" I shouted out throwing my trash in the empty bag. "Look I would have been fine if we didn't speak about it. It was s*x. We were kids. Stupid kids at that." "Yeah... stupid kids. I was just trying to apologize." He said looking out the window where I was staring as well. The only sound you could hear was Oli singing the chorus to 'Doomed' through the speaker before he spoke up. "Maeve I have a show Thursday night. The crew will be there and I'd like you to finally see me play." I sighed looking back at him and seeing this hopeful look in his eyes. "Fine." "Friends?" "Don't push it."
