Unbreakable

I looked in the mirror to double check my outfit. I don’t normally wear outfits like this but my friends insisted since we were going to a party tonight. I pull down on my black mini skirt even though it doesn’t help much. My top is a red button down with long sleeves. I have my brown hair in loose curls that hit half way down my back. “ Nova, lets go we are going to be late!” my friend Callie called from downstairs. “Coming”! I hurried to apply some mascara and lipgloss as a finishing touch. I glance in the mirror one last time and head downstairs, where my friends Callie and Gia are waiting. “Finally! Girl you look hot!” Callie says as I enter the living room. “Thanks, You don’t think my skirt is too short?” I say fidgeting with it once again. “ No way! You look great!” my friend Gia says. “ Ok, You guys know I don’t normally dress like this so I am just feeling a little self conscious. You two look great by the way!” “ Thanks!” they replied at the same time. Callie and I have been friends since we were little. Gia’s family transferred to our pack when we were in middle school. We all became friends instantly and have been inseparable ever since. “ You girls have fun tonight, be careful and don’t stay out to late”. my mom says as she walks into the room. “ Don’t worry mom we will be fine, love you bye!” I yell as we all head out the door. We climb into Gia’s car, I sit in the back and Callie sits up front. She likes to control the music. We usually let Gia drive because she has the nicest car it’s a white Porsche with all the upgrades. Gia is an only child. Her father owns multiple businesses so her family has money to burn. Callie’s father is our lead warrior and she has three older brothers. My father is the Beta of our pack so we are definitely not hurting for money ,but unlike Gia, I had to share everything growing up with my twin brother Nicholas. My parents always believed that money isn’t everything. Sure we had everything we needed but they always instilled in us that who we are as a person matter more. “Hey Nova, is Nick going to be at the party tonight?” Callie yells over the music. “ Yeah he’s already there. He got a ride with Carter and the other guys.” She winks at me and smiles. She has had a crush on my brother since we were in middle school. My brother doesn’t do girlfriends or hookups he is waiting for his mate. He wants his mate to be his first and only. I also feel the same way. Growing up, we saw the love our parents had for one another and how important a mate is to us. I think Callie is secretly hoping she is his mate. Wolves don’t find their mates until they turn eighteen, that is also when we get our wolves. Some wolves find their mates right away while others wait years until they meet them. We turn eighteen in two weeks and I hope we are both blessed with finding our mates. We pull up to the house where the party is at. There are so many people here. We can hear the music playing from outside. The house belongs to one our classmates, Ian, who is also friends with my brother. It’s a big house with a wrap around porch. The people standing on the lawn glance at us as we walk past them. We step onto the porch and open the front door. We our greeted by a crowd in the living room. There are some kids dancing, others are making out on the couch. We make our way through the sea of people and head to the kitchen where I see my brother, Carter and some other kids playing beer pong. Ian waves us over. “ Hey ladies, nice of you to join us!” he says as he takes a drink of his beer. “ Hey guys, how’s it going” I looked across the table at my brother and Carter. “It’s going good now that you ladies are here. Hey Gia”. Ian looks over at Gia and winks. “ Ugh, I’m going in the other room to dance.” she says with a disgusted look on her face. We all laugh. It’s no secret Ian has been trying to get with Gia for awhile now. Who can blame him? Gia is beautiful with long blonde hair, blue eyes and curves to die for, but Ian is not her type. Don’t get me wrong Ian is a good looking guy, but he has a goofy side to him that some people might find annoying. I look over to find Carter staring at me and suddenly I feel like I should of picked a different outfit. Carter is the Alpha’s son and future alpha of our pack. He is gorgeous with his tanned skin, short dirty blonde hair and green eyes that you can get lost in. He has a body like a greek god especially now since he was the first to get his wolf his body became even more muscular than before. He exudes confidence and he knows he can get any girl he wants. He smiles at me like he knows what I’m thinking right now and I can feel my cheeks flush. “ Do you ladies want something to drink?” Carter asks me and Callie, who is now over talking to my brother. “ Um, sure maybe some punch” I say “ Some for me too, thanks” Callie chimes in. “ Got it be right back”. he says. Callie looks at me with a smirk on her face as he walks over to the other table to get our drinks. I just roll my eyes. She knows I am waiting for my mate and I’m not interested in hook ups. He returns with our drinks and gives Callie hers. I tell him thanks as he hands me mine. We continue to drink and play games for awhile. Ian took off to dance with some girl in the other room. I was starting to feel the effects of the alcohol from the punch. So I told my brother and Callie I was going to search for an empty room upstairs to lay down for a little while. “ You want me to come with you?” Callie asked. “ No, you stay and have fun. I’ll be fine. I just have a headache and want to go somewhere a little more quiet.” I make my way through the living to head up the stairs. I noticed Gia, along the way, making out with some guy on one the of the sofas. I head up the stairs and found the room farthest down the hall was empty. I’m guessing it’s the master bedroom by the look of it. It has a king bed in the middle of the room and a big bathroom off to the right. I walk over to the bed and sit down leaning my head against the headboard. I can still hear the music downstairs but it’s not as loud as before. The pounding in my head is starting to go away. I don’t usually come to these kind of parties and I’m not much of a drinker. I prefer to stay home and read a book or watch one of my favorite shows. I did have alot of fun thought tonight, but I am ready to call it a night whenever they are ready to go. I close my eyes and try to relax. I hear a click and look up as I see the bedroom door opening. I am surprised to see Carter standing in the doorway. Is he lost? “ Oh hey Carter, what’s up?” Are you looking for someone?” I ask nervously. I don’t really talk to him much just the occasional chit chat when we are together as a group, which isn’t to often. “ Yea, you actually. I saw you come up here I just wanted to see if everything was ok” he says closing the door and walking over towards the bed. I’m at a loss for words. Carter actually caring about me? Am i dreaming right now? I snap out of my thoughts and sit up as he sits down next to me on the bed. “Oh. No I’m ok. I was getting a headache. I think I had a little too much of the punch.” I laugh. “Thanks though for asking.” “ Yea I was surprised to see you here tonight. I’m glad you came though. I couldn’t help but notice how good you look tonight.” he says looking me up and down. He moves closer to me on the bed and I start to get uncomfortable. “ Um thanks” I say. I am shocked to hear him say that I looked good. I have never considered myself ugly, but I never thought I would be his type. He grabs my hand and starts rubbing his thumb along my knuckles. “ I’ve actually been noticing you a lot lately. I was wondering if you have a boyfriend I’ve never seen you with anyone? he asks as his face is getting closer to mine. “ You- you have been noticing me?” I stutter pulling my hand away. “ No, I don’t have a boyfriend. I’m actually waiting for my..” he cuts me off grabbing the back of my head and pulls me into him kissing me. I try to push him off but he shoves me down onto the bed. He gets on top of me and has my hands locked in his above my head. I turn my head away trying to get him off of me. I could feel the tears forming in my eyes. “ Carter please stop. I don’t want to do this, please!” I beg. “ Oh C’mon Nova, just loosen up you will like it i promise.” He says. I feel him pushing my legs apart and positioning himself in between. He runs his free hand up my shirt and starts grabbing my breast. Tears are now falling down my face but that doesn’t stop him. He starts kissing down my neck and his hand trails up my leg pushing my skirt up. I start to panic. I don’t want it like this, it’s not suppose to happen this way. “ Carter please stop I’m begging you! I don’t want to do this. I have never done this before.” I cry hoping it will get him to stop. “ You’re a virgin? he stops to look at me and for a second I think he is going to stop, but then he smiles. “ Don‘t worry I will be gentle, I promise.” He whispers in my ear and kisses down my neck onto my chest. “ You are hurting me please don’t do this.” I say trying to wiggle free from his grasps but he doesn’t stop. I hear him unbuckling his belt. He goes to undo the button on his pants and I feel this is my only shot. While he is distracted, I raise my knee up and slam it as hard as I can into his groin. He grunts and loosens my arms. I push him off of me and he falls onto the floor. I hurry out of the room and run downstairs. I don’t want to make a scene in front of everyone so I quickly look around to find my friends. I spot them dancing. I make my way to over to them trying to control my body shaking. “ Hey guys, I need to go home now!”I say holding back the tears. “ Hey you ok?” Callie asks looking at me with a concerned look on her face. “Um yeah I’m just not feeling to good. I just need to go home” “ Ok , it’s getting late anyway. Let’s go” Gia says. We all start heading toward the door and I could feel eyes on me. I look up and see Carter staring at me from the top of the steps. I hurry out the door and quickly jump into the back seat of the car. I can’t believe that just happen to me. I fold my hands in my lap to stop them from shaking. I feel sick and need to get out of here.
