Kieran's POV
Nicholas and the others burnt the pack to the ground. It didn't feel like it, but it was a great victory. I wasn’t thinking about the fight. All my energy was focused on the one I had saved in the fight. The love of my life.
We hugged each other as we watched the pack house burn to the ground. It was a very satisfying watch.
Out of nowhere, Nyx gasped. She pulled away a little, and looked into my eyes.
“What's it mama?” I asked, holding her waist.
“Zoe.” She whispered. “I haven't seen her.”
“I hope she prays that I don't find her.” I growled, imagining how I'd kill her.
“That's why I'll go with you, and you will not kill her.” Nyx said, looking so innocent and tired. I tried absorbing her pain and there was still so much left after I had reached my limit.
