7: An Introduction

“Ni-night Mamma” Eliseo mumbled in my chest as I stroked his hair, his little arms wrapped around my torso. His breaths get even and his weight is completely leaned into mine.

“Night darling” I whispered in his forehead before giving it a little kiss.

After a few minutes of stroking his hair when I finally deemed that he won’t wake up anytime sooner, I slowly untangled myself to him. I’m really thirsty, it’s been a while since I took care of a child. But I still got the hang of it, it’s not that really hard since Eliseo is not difficult to deal with in the first place.

I stretched my body as I rose from the bed, a small yawn coming from me. I sighed from exhaustion, I straightened my shirt, before going to the bathroom. I’m rooming with Eliseo since this room is big enough for 4 people and that bed is enough for at least 3 grown men, Eliseo and I just occupied the half. I made a little messy bun for my hair since that’s the only thing I can do with it anyway except when Han helps me. Speaking of Han, I know she’s getting suspicious. I have to tell her sooner or later I bit my lip as I look at my reflection in the mirror. I could do this, I splashed some water on my face, brushed my teeth walking out of the bathroom, I sneaked a peak on Eliseo seeing that he’s comfortable and not disturbed I made my way out of the room silently I just had to take a glass of water.

After 10 minutes and I’m panting already, I swear who in heck needs this kind of house? It’s so big! If it weren’t for my decent memory, I might have already been lost and never been found. It sounds exaggerated but it’s not a lie though. Taking out a glass and pouring water on it before dreading the long walk again back towards Eliseo’s room and I.

I have to finish another paper. I remembered the last of one of the requirements, I groaned mentally. My head hurts from all of this, I need a break. Maybe tomorrow I can take Eliseo outside. It's not good for him to be always inside of this house no matter how his materialistic necessities are met astonishingly. Aldo doesn’t want to admit it but they are starting to get fond of Eliseo, who wouldn’t anyway? The little darling is charming, I smiled at the thought.

“Late night, Mistress” a voice shocked me, making me jump and the glass of water splashed all over me.

“Cold, cold oh my cold!” I jumped and flailed my arm like a chicken. Someone took the glass away, while I held my soaked shirt away from my skin, which is not much since the shirt I’m wearing is not one of my oversized clothing.

“You were so deep in your thoughts and smiling all by yourself is a little creepy, Mistress” the voice commented.

I took a deep breath, and looked up—yes up since this creep sneaked unto me making me spill my glass and scaring the living daylights out of me is not creepy at all!

“Oh wow I’m creepy? How about you looming in the dark and sneaking up to people is not creepy at all!” I retorted, glaring at the amused face of Eeroh.

“In the dark?” pointing at the glowing chandelier above us.

“Not the point! But you sneaked up to me!” I told him before turning my back on him making my way back to the kitchen again. He made me spill my water, the audacity! I took another glass and filled it before walking past the chuckling i***t.

“Seriously you’re mad?” I heard him ask. I ignored him while I walked back towards my room, I’m exhausted and scared a while ago. I just wanted to sleep uninterruptedly. I’ll cuddle with Eliseo besides him and Aldo. They are the only males that I can tolerate in this place.

I can hear Eeroh calling out to me but I’m determined just to have my sleep.

“Signorina!” I halted on the firm yet gentle tone, that was Aldo I quickly turned my head and I was right Aldo was calling me.

He looks flushed like he’s been running when he walks towards me and I can clearly see his face.

“What is it? I just tucked Eliseo in” I informed him, he only nodded his head before he could open his mouth and utter words.

A clearing of the throat interrupted him, making Aldo snap his head behind me, making him still and stand a little straighter. I saw Eeroh running towards us and slowed, as he neared us he too, looking behind me his eyes and expression turned serious.

I turned my back on them and I could feel shivers on my spine as I saw them.

“Signor Valerio, Signora Renata” Aldo and Eeroh chorused.
