Freya’s Pov
I had no idea why we had a pack meeting tonight.
Dane only said, “Just pack things,” when I asked. He kissed my forehead and said, “Nothing bad.”
So I put on jeans and a soft sweater and went to the big hall with Evie. She did not know why either.
“Do you think it is about Viktor?” she said quiet while we sat.
“Maybe. Dane is worried a lot.”
The hall got full fast. Everyone sat in their normal places and talked. I saw Henry with Sarah near the front. Tom and Jessica a few rows back. Old Miriam sat in her chair and looked at everyone with sharp eyes.
Dane stood in front. He looked strong and calm. Just him being there made people quiet.
“Thank you for coming fast,” he said loud. “I have big news.”
