Freya’s Pov
The morning started normal. I woke up alone. Dane went early for border work. I put on clothes to try again to show I can be a good Luna.
Selene said I should learn the land alone. Know the borders and important places. “A Luna must know her land like the Alpha,” she said.
So after breakfast I went out. I walked the marked paths to the east border. The forest was pretty. Morning mist on the ground. Sun came through the leaves like gold lines.
I walked one hour. I tried to remember everything Selene taught. The big tree that split. The white stones. The little river that is the line.
All was quiet and nice.
Too quiet, I saw fast.
No birds. No small animals. Only quiet.
My heart went fast. I stopped and listened.
Nothing.
Maybe I think too much. Maybe...
