REPENT! THE RAPTURE IS AT HAND — JESUS IS COMING EPISODE 1: THE DREAM THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING The small village of Amanah was quiet that night. The moon was shining above the little houses. A cool wind moved through the trees, making the leaves whisper softly. Most people were asleep. But seventeen-year-old Daniel was not. He was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. Something had been troubling him all day. That morning, his mother had told him something that he could not stop thinking about. “Daniel,” she had said, “never become too busy for God. Life can change very quickly.” Daniel had smiled at her. “Mama, I know.” But now, as he lay in the darkness, those words returned to his mind. Never become too busy for God. Daniel closed his eyes. Soon, he fell asleep. Then he began to dream. He saw himself standing in the middle of Amanah village. But something was different. The village was strangely silent. There were no children playing. No farmers working. No women talking at the market. No sound of people walking along the dusty roads. Daniel looked around. “Where is everybody?” He walked toward his friend David's house. “David!” There was no answer. He knocked again. “David!” Still nothing. Daniel became afraid. He ran toward the village church. The church door was open. He entered. The seats were empty. A Bible lay open on the pastor's desk. Daniel walked closer. Then he heard a voice behind him. “Daniel.” He turned quickly. Nobody was there. “Who are you?” The voice spoke again. “Are you ready?” Daniel's heart began beating faster. “Ready for what?” The voice answered: “Be ready for the coming of the King.” Suddenly, Daniel looked toward the sky. A powerful light appeared above the village. The light grew brighter and brighter. Daniel fell to his knees. Then he heard a loud sound. He woke up. “Ah!” Daniel sat upright on his bed. His body was shaking. He looked around his room. Everything was normal. The moonlight came through the window. His Bible was on the small table beside his bed. Daniel grabbed it. “Mama!” He ran out of his room. His mother, Martha, was already awake and praying. When she saw Daniel, she immediately stood up. “Daniel, what happened?” “Mama, I had a dream.” “What kind of dream?” Daniel told her everything. Martha listened carefully. When he finished, she sat quietly for a moment. Then she said, “My son, we should not try to use a dream to predict when Jesus will return.” Daniel looked at her. “Then why did I see it?” “I don't know,” she answered. “But whether the dream means something or not, the message from the Bible is already clear. Jesus told His followers to be ready.” Daniel looked down at his Bible. His mother continued. “We don't know the day or the hour of Christ's return. That is why we must not live carelessly.” Daniel asked, “Does being ready mean going to church every Sunday?” Martha smiled gently. “Going to church is good, but being ready is more than sitting inside a church.” “What does it mean?” “It means knowing God, trusting Jesus, turning away from sin, forgiving people, loving others, praying, and living according to God's Word.” Daniel became quiet. He remembered something. Earlier that week, he had argued with David. They had both become angry. Daniel had refused to forgive him. He also remembered some lies he had told to avoid getting into trouble. He suddenly felt uncomfortable. “Mama…” “Yes?” “What if I have done things that are wrong?” Martha placed her hand gently on his shoulder. “Then don't run away from God. Run toward Him.” Daniel looked at her. “Can God forgive me?” “Yes,” she said. “When we sincerely repent and turn back to Him, we can ask for His forgiveness. Repentance means more than saying sorry with our lips. It means turning away from the wrong path and choosing God's way.” Daniel looked at his Bible again. For the first time, the words felt different. He knelt beside his mother. “God, please forgive me for the things I have done wrong. Help me to change. Help me to live for You.” His mother prayed with him. After they finished, Daniel felt peaceful. But the peace did not last long. The next morning, something unexpected happened. Daniel was walking through the village when he saw Pastor Samuel standing outside the church. The pastor was holding a large notice. “Pastor!” The old pastor turned. “Daniel. Good morning.” “Good morning, sir.” Daniel looked at the notice. “What is that?” Pastor Samuel looked serious. “I am calling the village to a special meeting tonight.” “Why?” The pastor paused. “I received some disturbing news.” “What news?” Pastor Samuel looked toward the road. “For several nights, people in different parts of the village have reported strange dreams and unusual experiences.” Daniel's eyes widened. “Strange dreams?” “Yes.” “About what?” Pastor Samuel looked directly into Daniel's eyes. “About being unprepared to meet God.” Daniel felt a chill. He remembered his dream. “Pastor… I had a dream last night.” “What did you see?” Daniel told him. Pastor Samuel listened without interrupting. When Daniel finished, the pastor sighed. “My son, we should be careful. We must never claim that a dream tells us the exact date of Jesus' return. Nobody knows that.” “I understand.” “But perhaps this is a good opportunity to remind ourselves of something very important.” “What?” Pastor Samuel pointed toward the church. “Many people are preparing for their future—building houses, saving money, planning businesses, preparing for school and marriage. But some people spend years preparing for everything except eternity.” Daniel stood silently. Pastor Samuel continued. “Money cannot save a soul. Popularity cannot save a soul. A beautiful house cannot save a soul. Only Christ can.” Daniel looked toward the village. People were busy with their daily lives. Some were selling food. Some were laughing. Some were arguing. Some were rushing to work. Nobody seemed to know what Daniel had heard. Then Pastor Samuel said something that Daniel would never forget: “Daniel, the question is not, ‘When will Jesus come?’ The question is, ‘If He came today, would I be ready?’” That evening, the church filled with people. David was there. Grace was there. Even Mr. Victor, the wealthy businessman who rarely attended church, stood at the back. Pastor Samuel stepped forward. He looked at everyone. Then he said: “My brothers and sisters, I am not here to frighten you. I am here to remind you of hope.” The room became completely silent. “Jesus Christ promised that He would return. We do not know when. Therefore, don't wait for a special day to repent. Don't wait until you are old. Don't wait until tomorrow.” Daniel looked at David. David looked back at him. Neither of them spoke. Pastor Samuel raised his Bible. “Today is the day to examine your heart. If you have wandered away from God, come back. If you have hatred in your heart, forgive. If you have been living in sin, turn around. If you have forgotten how to pray, begin again.” Then suddenly— BOOM! A loud sound came from outside the church. Everyone turned toward the door. The lights went out. Darkness filled the church. People began whispering. Daniel grabbed David's hand. “What was that?” Nobody knew. Then, from somewhere outside, came the sound of a church bell. DONG! One time. DONG! Two times. DONG! Three times. Pastor Samuel slowly walked toward the door. And when he opened it, he saw something that made his face change completely. To be continued…
