59. The heat of the moment

Lea

“What is happening my Luna? What are you feeling?” he asked edgily, as he lifted me up and took me in his arms.

I swallowed hard; my throat was so dry. “I don’t know… I just feel like I’m burning.”

“That can’t be.” He muttered under his breath. In the next second his eyes got foggy; he was mind linking someone. “Sarah is coming to examine you. You will feel better soon, my love.” He cooed me, caressing my burning skin gently. More gently than I thought he was capable of. His touch and the tingles made the pain lessen a bit. 

Besides Richard’s closest friend and my new Beta, Sarah is a doctor and from what I heard, a very good one. But I will be better, I just need Valentin’s healing touch to calm my body. 

As if on cue, Valentin arrived in a flash and Richard gave him a half-annoyed look. Tonight, was Richard’s night with me. My males didn’t want to share a room or even a house like Liv does with her mates, so I was here and there alternating houses and Realms. Until now it has been okay, but it seems a bit exhausting.

“Angel, I felt your agony through the bond. What are you feeling? Let me heal you.” He said.

Now that our bond was open, I could feel my Sun’s soul. All his warmness, gentleness, and something else, his big ego. He was indeed like the Sun, with all the solar qualities, magnetism, generosity, confidence, dazzle, and a little tendency to feel like all planets gravitate around him. 

My bond with King Alexus on the other hand, was only open to such a extend, to avoid that we both have hardcore mate withdrawal symptoms. I wondered if those symptoms would start appearing anyway with time or they would always be light. 

As my mom and Liv explained to me, it varies a bit from couple to couple, every bond was unique, and it also depended on the connection shared by the two souls. Liv was suffering that much because her bond with Laius was very very strong. Those two stubborn creatures loved each other absolutely. 

Valentin leaned down close to me and hovered his hand over my forehead, I felt his sunny and soothing energy entering my body, it made me feel good, but it didn’t help with the burning sensation.

“I’m burning,” I muttered. 

“I don’t understand, it isn’t working.” He uttered, looking extremely surprised.

An energetic Sarah entered the room and took fast strides towards me, “It won’t help, she is having her heat.” She explained.

“Are you sure?” Richard asked pressing me possessively against his naked chest.

“Yes, I can say that only by looking at her. You are feeling a burning sensation, especially in your lower abdomen, right?” she asked, and I nodded in response. She stroked my hair, “Oh sweet girl, you are having your heat. I didn’t know you could have it… but I should have imagined, given that your aunt had it too.”

“What do you mean?” I asked in a weak voice.

“She-wolves have heats, just like the wolves in the wild. Somehow because you are mated to a werewolf you are having it too. The burning sensation will only get better if you mate with your males. It will take 24 at most after you start mating, if you don’t do it, this sensation won’t stop and will get worse, much worse.”

“We shouldn’t wait longer,” Richard said in a tense way, pressing me very tightly against him. Sarah looked at him and nodded.

“If you feel worse, call me. You will be fine, sweetie.” She patted my shoulder once and gave me a look of sympathy. 

I had so many questions and doubts about this heat thing, but now I could hardly think, the agony was too crushing.

Sarah left immediately and after it, Richard peeled my clothes off and in the next second I was under his body and he was entering me. I was already feeling much better.  I quivered and looked at his glowing green eyes, almost a fluorescent green. His wolf was on the surface.

Richard growled like a caged beast; I could feel his chest vibrating fiercely. 

“That’s the only option I can think of,” Sarah said, patting his shoulder in reassurance. “If she doesn’t mate with him soon, it will get worse. You know that when a female in heat doesn’t have s*x with her mate, or mates, she can get very sick or even mad.” She added.

“Lea, you need to mind link Alexus, now. I’m so sorry, my Angel. But it’s the only way for you to feel better.” Valentin uttered, taking my hand in his and kissing it before he gazed at me with a tender and pained look. 

I was now hurting for me and them. 

I nodded in response, I just want to get over with it and be able to breathe again without feeling that I’m being suffocated by a rising inferno.

I was drinking blood dissolved in Hell whiskey and considering what to do with Broadrick, I already have him in the dungeon for more than one week. Should I kill him now or torture him further? I just knew that he had to pay, and he will.
