46. Don’t let you go

      Alexus       "Don't expect me to say thank you," she replied, looking intently at me, a small frown on her pretty face.  How I was enjoying her newly found fire. But I wanted her to stay, at least a bit longer. I couldn’t risk losing her, having people putting her against me again, having Richard whispering venom in her ears.  “Lea, stay. Stay longer. I love you and I can give you what you need. I don’t want to take you from the people you love. You can have your flowers and make your balms here, we can work and rule side by side,” I argued, hoping to convince her somehow.  “You don’t want to take the people I love away from me? How about Richard? He is my mate too! I want to be with him and you are daring to forbid me!” The fire was once again vibrating in her golden eyes.
