72. Weak at your knees or Being the dinner

Now that two weeks passed after Liv gave birth to my precious niece, I went to visit her with my mates, instead of going by myself. My sister looked exhausted but extremely happy and so, did Laius and Elric. Avalon looked normal; I hope he was not too disappointed that the baby wasn’t his. 

After cooing the sleeping little angel in her cute light blue nursery, we all went to have dinner. Liv really wanted to eat fast, before Aurora would wake up to have her own dinner. 

We took our sits and Sonia served the dinner. Sonia is a witch, who used to work at Avalon’s castle as a servant; she is very nice and the only person that works here for them. I looked at my mate, his smile has only grown. Goddess, why do they think it’s funny to embarrass me?! 

“Why Valentin? Can’t you wait?” I asked through the bond.

“To have you already wet and ready for me as soon as we arrive home, Angel.” He said through our link as his finger circled my entrance. That was not very angelic of him!

When we went back to the dining room, they were already having dessert. I guess you miss dinner when you are the dinner. Liv and even Laius had a knowing smile on their faces, which just made me want to disappear. Richard wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled my chair back for me to sit, I even heard his almost-totally suppressed low growl. Titan was upset, he was always very protective of me and sweet. 

“Well, newly mated couples are always the same,” Liv whispered under her breath. 

“Non-newly mated couples can be very fun too…” Laius added as he flashed my sister his dimpled smirk. Was she even supposed to do those things that soon after delivering? I was really not sure how it worked when someone gets Fae Healing. 

“Just after I feed Aurora, devilicious.” She smiled back.

Elric finally agreed to help me to unbind and unlash my Elf powers, since now Lea is mated and safe, mom knows the truth and I’m not knocked up. The ritual was simple, Elric made a circle on the floor of Emerald Forest with four crystals, one for each elfin element, water, air, and earth, and the last one for ether. Ether symbolises the highest plan, like the next life, it’s where people go when they transcend this dimension. So, the ether crystal is the symbol of everything that transcends the elements. 

Yeah, I did my research in between cuddling with my little angel and making sure her tiny chubby tummy was full.

I had to wear a green ritualistic tunic and walk to the centre of the circle, where Elric joined me. 

“My Love, after I say the words, your powers will leave the runes where I bound them and find their way to you once again. You may feel dizzy or uncomfortable. Are you ready?”

“I’m more than ready, I’m eager to become full-blown me.” I was so excited to get to know all I could do, all I was, and feel a bigger connection with my elf nature, my inner elf.

Elric chuckled, “Thus, we can start.” He kissed my forehead before he took my hands in his. 

“Out of the darkness, out of the stone, forces of nature come back to where you belong.” Elric chanted. 

His voice was so serene and commanding, well, he was commanding nature itself. Golden threads not even thicker than a hair strand left the crystals slowly and entered my pores, entangling themselves with my cells, with my soul. I felt a huge pulse of energy overtaking me and Elric was right, I was feeling quite dizzy, my wobbly body fell down slightly against his bulky chest and he wrapped me in his embrace. 

I looked down at my hands, I was glowing slightly.  

I felt complete, as if a life force, a handful of energy was glowing inside me and that was an amazing feeling. 

“How are you feeling, my Love?” Elric asked, stroking my face gently with the tip of his thumb. 

“I’m feeling more like me, more myself than ever before,” I answered with a smile. “I’m quite tired and a bit hungry too,” I added making him chuckle. 

He took my lips in a soft kiss. “The more yourself you are, the more I love you.” He muttered in my mind. 

After we parted the kiss, I looked into his beautiful silver-blue eyes and said, “I’m very excited to get to know what my powers are.” I almost squealed, that was how excited I was.

He took my hand in his and stretched our joined arms, “Let the energy flow through you, while you try to connect with your essence, your very nature.” His serene voice guided me, and I closed my eyes and started to feel a spark of life flowing through me and raising goosebumps in its wake. I could feel the force of nature inside me, as a strong but freeing blow of wind made my hair dance around. 

From my hand that was joined with Elric’s, I could feel the water flow and cascaded from my fingerprints. As a feeling of profundity and nurturing overtook my soul. I instinctively raised my hand towards the level of my head and wind and water met, now I felt a tickling but somehow pleasant chill radiating from the tips of my fingers and I could feel ice escaping my palms. I opened my eyes and gasped trying to inhale some air. I was a bit exhausted after rifling for these powers, this energy, from the very depths of me.

“My love.” Elric placed his finger gently under my chin, tilting my face up so that we could face each other. “It was incredible. You have the power of controlling water and wind and in a single move, following only your instinct you could unite both elements and produce ice. That is something that the ones with control of these two elements take a long time to master if they ever achieve so.” He explained, looking at me in awe. I loved when he looked at me like this, making me feel so beloved and special for him.  

I smiled at him, took his hand that was cupping my cheek and brought it to my lips, “I guess I only could do it because I have you. Your trust and support. Those things make me better, make me more myself and a better version. Thank you, love.”  

I didn’t only feel more connected with my elf essence, but also with Elric and our people. Now I am an elf too, a real one.
