Prologue
Blaze of fire is reflected in my poor daughter's eyes, as tears shed down her beautiful face.
She's too young for this, in my thoughts while trying to catch some more breath.
My body is heavy while I lie down on the cold blanket of snow and I begin to feel numb.
Anytime now I will lose everything... I will lose her... I will lose my life in front of my darling daughter. But I still have time to do something until the poison reaches my heart. One poison I cannot remove as I do not know what it is.
"Mommy get up, please." she sobs as her hands trail down my face, trying to shake me gently and wake me up whenever my eyes start to wander off.
I need to try once more but my body is badly beaten. My eyes looked around, but the once beautiful town of Marylake is now burned to the ground, as if no one is alive and were the only ones left.
I can feel the poison running up to my throat and to other parts of my body. I was torn. I had a bite on my right arm and some more wounds all over my body.
I need to do something, to help my daughter from this pain she is experiencing now.
"Sno-w" struggling with my words. "I need you to be brave." I looked into her eyes, puffy and red from crying.
I see a few scratches on her knees and cheeks. She was trying to hide from the evil that came to our town, and was forced out in the open field, dragged by the hair when she was discovered hiding inside our house. I lost most of my energy from protecting her.
"Your Aunt May will be here and you will come with her, okay?" I told her as I've been linking with my sister from across the town to come and get her.
"No mommy I won't leave you" sobbing and trying to hug me with her warmth, such a bright girl I taught her so well.
"Now you will do as I say, and be a good girl everything will be alright. I loved you my dear snow." as I felt the aura of my sister near, I knew this would be my last words to her.
"Linio" as I whispered the spell and felt a pang inside my chest as the poison finally reached my heart.
I couldn't move anymore and my vision began to blur. My daughter dropped unconsciously.
I saw under the blur of my vision footsteps, recognizing it from my sister. She held me tight and cried her heart out, but I couldn't hear her anymore.
Only a single drop of tear shed down to my cheeks as I fell out of breath.
