Hayden just smiled at her an stepped onto the elevator hand in hand with her man. When the doors closed Devlin asked Hayden who that was. I don't know baby. I've never seen her before in my life? He said seriously.  Once they were seated in the SUV Devlin took his phone out an googled the closest salon, it had 5 stars so he put it in the GPS an they set off. 

Hayden sat in the lobby waiting for her turn, looking at hair magazines. Devlin still had a look of uneasiness on his face. It's fine, calm down ok....that woman cannot hurt me. I don't even know who she is. Hayden said softly. I felt her power Hayden, I think she is a witch. I havent felt power like that since the 1989. There were two Gemini witches.... We were friends... Hayden requested. Ok, sound great. Angel said an got to work. 20 minutes later Hayden was in the mirror examining her hair. I love it! I wish you lived in our town! I would definitely be one of your regulars. Hayden exclaimed and handed her a $100 bill. It's only $40.00. Angel said. Well that's for the haircut an the rest is your tip. Hayden smiled at her. Angel gave her a big smile and thanked her over an over again. Where to now? Devlin asked her soon as they stepped out of the salon. Anywhere you want to go. She stated. Well, are you hungry?. He asked her. Yea I can eat. May we could grab Xavier an Charlie something to go. Food may wake them up! Hayden said laughing. 

Charlie woke up to a knock on the door. She looked over at Xavier and he stirred in his sleep but didn't wake up. She stood up to answer the door. Looking out the peephole she smiled an opened the door. You look great. Charlie said looking at her best friend. Did you get your hair cut? She asked. Yep and we bring food! Hayden said holding up the bag. Xavier sat straight up in bed at the smell of delicious steak. Charlie laughed. You knew that would wake his ass up!!!! Didn't you??! Charlie said sarcastically. Hayden an Devlin walked to the sofa an sat down. Yep we sure did. That man is always hungry. Devlin said with a laugh. I'm a werewolf, I have to eat twice as much to sustain me, my metabolism runs a lot faster than a humans. Xavier explained. That's why we bought you guys 4 steaks a piece, mid-rare, with baked potatoes, mac-n-cheese and rolls. Damn..... That sounds amazing! Xavier said reaching for his take out bag. As they were eating Devlin asked Xavier if he knew anything about witches. I've only ever encountered one a few years back...She was really nice though. She helped put a protection spell around the packs property. She gave me  her phone number if we ever needed anything else. Why? Xavier asked. Well we ran into one coming off of the elevator earlier and hate waves were coming off of her very strong. I don't know if we should be worried or not? Devlin stated. She was staring at Hayden like she knew her. That worried me more than anything. He continued. I think it's fine, maybe she was having a bad day or something? I don't think she was directing it at me. Hayden replied. I never want to just assume, especially after that Muerte tried to get to all of us. If Charlie hadn't noticed him , he would have gotten in an killed us all. Xavier and I had the element of surprise, that's why it was so easy to take him out. I just don't think she is a threat. Hayden replied calmly. I will still be on alert until we are clear of this place. I will not take any chances. Devlin replied. Well, you know I always have your back. Xavier said with his mouth full. Charlie slapped him on the arm, soon as she swallowed that bite she told him not to talk with his mouth full. Sorry it's so good. He replied after finishing his food. Here you can have the rest of mine....I'm full. She had eaten 3 steaks an some of the sides. Xavier took it without hesitation an finished it off. Anyone have the time? Charlie asked. It's 4:34pm. Devlin said. Well .....guys what are the plans? Are we staying another night or are we leaving? Charlie asked. I was thinking..... We should probably get on the road, Aunt Lily is probably worried ...we were supposed to be back already. Hayden said. She is probably going at it with her mate....I doubt she is worried about 4 grown ass adults. Xavier saId with a laugh. Yeah your probably right, it's been a long time since Aunt Lily has been in a relationship, she is probably getting her freak on. Charlie laughed. Ok. I think we all agree... We leave in a hour? Devlin asked. They all agreed and Hayden an Devlin went back to their room to pack. 

Loaded in the SUV and ready to go an hour later, they headed home. We have another 12 hours of driving so get comfortable. Devlin stated pulling out of the parking garage. Xavier and Charlie were curled up in the backseat talking about the party they had planned when they got home. It's going to be great! We are celebrating our engagements! A double party is gonna be awesome!! We will have to order a cake with our names on one side and Devlin an Haydens on the other side. Charlie explained. That sound great to me baby. Xavier said kissing her cheek. She leaned over and whispered in his ear....you know what I really want to do when we get home........ I was thinking when we get home... Do you want to go shopping with me? I could use some girl time, an I really need to talk to you about something. Hayden said with a hopeful look in her eyes. Sure chick I would love that....we haven't had girl time in a long time...before we went to see Aunt Lily......I believe it was 2 days before the accident when we went to the club. That's the last time we actually had a girls day! Charlie said with excitement. What accident? Xavier asked looking confused. Charlie gave him a sad look. Hayden told her it was ok and she explained everything to him from beginning to end.

6 hours later they pulled up to Aunt Lily's house. All the lights were off, which was weird because she always left her porch lights on. Devlin an Xavier told the girls to stay in the SUV while they checked it out. They stood on the front porch listening for anything, heartbeats, breathing, just any sign of life. Its 3:15a.m. I know they would be asleep if they were here, but I don't hear anything. Devlin said scanning the tree line. Yeah, I don't smell her or Derrick...I don't like this at all.....it's too quiet. Xavier whispered. Let's get the spare key out of the light post and go in an see if they left a note or something. She use to leave me a note when I was helping her over here an she wasn't going to be home. Xavier said pulling the light post over to get the key. He got the key an unlocked the door. Soon as they walked in they stood in the doorway listening again. Nothing.... Ok I'll go check this way towards the kitchen and you go towards the livingroom. Xavier said. Devlin walked over to the living room an didn't see anything, so he went upstairs, he walked through each room and , nothing....He didn't hear anything, didn't see anything and certainly didn't smell anything. He turned to walk down the stairs an heard Xavier yell for him. He was there in a flash. Xavier was holding a note. We can relax, they are at Derrick's house. We can tell our women to come in now. We will go home in the morning since its so late. Xavier said with a yawn. I know what you mean, I'm tired as hell. Devlin said walking out the front door to tell them to come in. Devlin spun around to look an he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Fangs out he grabbed Hayden and put her behind him. Charlie's eyes were glowing teal and her teeth had lengthened an she was growling. Hayden looked to see what had them all acting this way. She screamed in horror. This Can't Be Happening!!!!!!!! She looked at the scene in front of her and she was actually terrified . Tyler and Hunter from the pack were bound an gagged covered in blood, but still alive....barely. Standing over them was a Muerte. And he was holding a silver knife. If you want these f*****g wolves to live you will listen to what my master has to say! The Muerte yelled. He turned to look at someone coming up behind him. Soon as the light hit the woman that walked up beside the Muerte  Haydens mouth dropped. This is my master!!!! You will obey her commands...if not these wolves will die right now!!! His master was the witch from the elevator at the hotel, and she looked pissed. I am looking for someone!!!!! I know she has been here because I sense her magic around that wolf pack property! the woman yelled. If you don't help me find her I will kill all of you with a swipe of my hand!!!!! My name is Attica!!! I'm am the strongest witch in the world an I am lookIng for my daughter Semone!! She yelled. Xavier growled. Why didn't you just asked us that?!?! Why hurt my pack?!? Then threaten to kill us?!?! What is the meaning of this approach!?!!! Xavier asked. Well I sent one of my men to ask you in New York and you two killed him. She yelled pointing at Xavier an Devlin. Well he was mumbling to himself that he was going to kill us all....so we defended ourselves!! Devlin yelled. I have been following you guys since New York.......  I sensed my daughters magic on that wolf. She said pointing to Xavier. If its the same person that put the protection spell on the property ......then..yes I know her... I will trade... Her phone number for my wolves!!! Xavier yelled back. The witch thought about it for a minute. She has given her phone number to you? Do you know where she is? Attica asked. I have her number...yes...but I do not know where she is...I have only met her the one time she put the protection spell around our property...I met her through a friend. Xavier stated. Ok throw me your phone...an you  may get your wolves..............I'm sorry, I thought you were a threat...it's the only reason I grabbed your wolves when they stepped off of the property. Most of this is a glamour ...they are not hurt..  I just thought you guys would be aggressive after you killed Leon in New York...I knew I should have not sent him, he had a personal vendetta against the vampire. He said you killed his brother? She stated. You should be more worried about that Muerte you are hanging with more than us...they are blood thirsty animals. They kill everyone they feed from...and I only killed his brother because he attacked a human right in front of me. Devlin said angrily. My Muertes, are under my commands, they do what I tell them, but sometimes they get a little to far out of my reach...like Leon. Can we start over.?? She said waving her hand to take the glamour off of Tyler an Hunter. They were fine...they looked like they were just waking up. They looked around, still sitting on the ground, they started growling. Slumberen emu upes. Attica chanted and they tell back to sleep. I put them back to sleep, we don't need them attacking before they know what's going on, now do we? She said sarcastically. Yeah we can start over, as long as you mean none of our people any harm. Devlin said. We have a deal....I just need to find my daughter , she is in danger. Attica said with a tear running down face. Ok. We can help you with that. Xavier said with concern in his eyes.
