Nothing is going to ruin this for us!

This is what I'm talking about Devlin! I couldn't do anything! I was helpless! I couldn't even defend myself! And ....you heard him! If you took another step towards him he was gonna.......... Rip my throat out! Hayden said hysterically. 

Devlin pulled her in and held her tightly. I know sweety. I was terrified! I almost lost you! When I heard Attica chanting...... I was relieved she had a plan. I knew she would get you out of his grasp. I had to believe it! He said pulling away to look into her tear filled eyes. She started to sob again and Devlin pulled her into a hug and held her. He let her let it all out. He was distracted. He should have seen or heard something. It almost cost him her life. He thought to himself.

I want you to turn me now. She said with a muffled cry. She had her head buried in his shoulder. He pulled her away from him to look her in the face. 

Are you sure?!? What about our child? I thought you...

I don't want our child to EVER feel as vulnerable as I felt just now! EVER! She interrupted. 

Okay....... Okay beautiful..... If that's what you want ....we will go home after the party. I want you to be comfortable in our own home. Devlin said an kissed her forehead. 

I want to spend eternity with you. What just happened out there, .........made me realize I need to do this! Nothing is going to ruin this for us........ Except my death. I could have died tonight! I don't want anything else like this to happen again!! .....and .....me not being able to defend myself ... They will always go after me. I am the weak human. That's why he grabbed me! It's not gonna happen again! She said laying down on the bed. Now ....... Make love to me ..... I just need you right now Devlin .....take my mind off of what just happened. She said with tears in her eyes. 

He did as she asked. He made love to her until she was so exhausted she laid her head on his chest and fell asleep. He laid there looking at the ceiling and caressing her hair, until he too let sleep take him under.

Attica sat at the kitchen table with a big glass of wine. She couldn't believe Axel had found them so fast. She was glad he was dead. But, poor Hayden, she will have nightmares forever. She thought as she took another drink. Simone walked up an hugged her mother. 

I just heard! I'm so sorry I wasn't here! Simone cried. 

It's ok, I was happy you weren't here. He would have killed you without hesitation. He almost killed Hayden though. I feel so bad. I've apologized 100 times. They said they knew the risks and that it wasn't my fault, but it is my fault. I'll never forgive myself. They said we are family now an they want us to stay. I just feel like .....I don't know....... I don't know what to do. I don't want them to hate me. Attica cried. Tyler bent down in front of her an took Attica's hands.

Look at me. They DO NOT hate you! They could never hate you. I've seen the way Hayden has bonded with you. Like a mother figure. I don't think she could ever hate you. From what I heard of this whole situation..... It has brought you guys closer. She trusted you! You saved her life. And you are right! They all said they knew the risks! They knew that creature was after you and Simone! They still took you guys in and gave you a family. Leaving now would be a slap to the face. Think about it! They really want  you guys here....... I want you guys here! Tyler stated and looked up at Simone. I can't live without your daughter, and she can't live without you! Please stay. He begged. 

Attica nodded with tears in her eyes. Okay. I'll sleep on it. She said taking another drink. I think I'm going to turn in. I'm exhausted. Using that much magic has drained me. She said getting up an hugging both of them before turning around an walking up the steps towards her room. 

I think she will be fine. She will change her mind after she sees the house. You think we will be done by the end of the week? Simone asked Tyler.

Oh, yeah ...we have 90% of the Pack working on it and we are fast. He stated with a smile. 

Awesome! You want to sleep here or the Pack House tonight? She asked. 

Here is fine with me. More privacy. He said pulling her in for a kiss. They walked down to the basement room and closed the door.

Today is the day!!!!!! Charlie said dancing around the bedroom in her underwear. Xavier was laying on the bed watching his mate an laughing.

I love how silly you are.... Despite all the chaos that happened lastnight. He said sitting up. 

Well my Sexy Alpha! Nothing is going to ruin this day for us! Everyone is happy, healthy and ALIVE! There is no reason to dwell on the past! She said dancing up to him.

That is my best friend! She is fine! Believe me! I don't think anything can bring her down today! Its our double engagement party tonight! I know she was upset lastnight..... But from what I heard coming down the hallway last night ......She is over it! Charlie exclaimed

If you say so. But I still need to check on her. That is a traumatic  experience to go through. She could have lost her life. Xavier said seriously.

She has been through alot. She died twice last year after her car wreck. I'm sure she can bounce back from this. I was so scared last night, but I knew it would be fine. Attica had it under control. When I seen that Attica was calm and she was chanting.... I just knew Hayden would be fine. Remember when she showed up here, she told us she could kill us with a wave of her hand. I knew she was serious. I knew she could take the creature out with no problem. She is great to have on our side. She said leaning down to kiss him. Now let's go get in the shower so we can get this show on the road! Charlie exclaimed. 

Hayden and Devlin were in the kitchen making breakfast. She had a huge smile on her face. Devlin looked at her and smiled back. Your happy this morning. He said walking up to her an taking her by the waist. 

Yeah...... Today is our party! I can't wait. She said kissing him. We get to go home after the party and I get to look forward to spending the rest of our lives together. Why wouldn't I be happy? She said still smiling.

Well, Beautiful..... You were so upset about what happened last night, I guess I just thought it would boil over into today. I'm happy that your happy though. I don't like to see you upset. It hurts me. Devlin said kissing her forehead. 

Well..... We can only move forward baby. That's what I'm going to do. The threat is neutralized so we don't have to worry about that asshole anymore. We knew that it was a possibility that he would come, I'm just happy that it's over with early. She said. 

Attica walked into the kitchen an Hayden ran up an hugged her. Attica slowly lifted her arms to return the hug. Hayden pulled away and looked at her. Thank you....... So much for saving my life. Hayden said an hugged her again.

You don't have to Thank Me. I'm the reason everyone was in this mess. I'm truly sorry. Attica said sadly.

You do not need to apologize. You told us he would come. We knew that. I'm just happy no one got hurt. Now we don't have to worry about him! We are going to have a great time at the party tonight an forget all about it. Okay? Hayden questioned.

Okay. I really appreciate all of you. It's still hard for me to believe that everyone here is so accepting. I will eventually get use to it. Attica explained. 

We are making breakfast..... It should be done in a few minutes, but coffee is already done ...if you would like some. Devlin offered.

That sounds great. I would love some. Attica smiled at him. 

Xavier and Charlie made their way to the kitchen. Devlin is an amazing cook! It always smells and tastes so good. Xavier said rubbing his stomach. 

I'm just glad he makes enough to feed everyone. He knows how you eat hunny. And his food is always great! Charlie said with a smile. 

What's on the menu today boss! Xavier yelled soon as they walked into the kitchen. 

We made sausage, eggs, bacon, biscuits an gravy, fried potatoes and pancakes. Devlin said. 

That's enough to feed an army. Charlie said an got some plates out of the cabinets while Xavier grabbed a handful of silverware. Let's eat! Xavier yelled. 

Someone want to go wake up Tyler an Simone? Hayden suggested. 

I'll go. Attica said standing up to go to the basement. 

Everyone made their plates of food and sat down to eat. Attica came back up a few minutes later. They will be up in a minute. They just woke up. She stated and went to make herself a plate of food. 

Well we all woke up before noon today..... That's a plus. Charlie said with a laugh. 

It's 8:45a.m so yeah....we did good. We knew we had a lot to do before the party. Hayden said an took a bite of pancakes. 

I can go work on the balloons while you guys are eating. Devlin said leaning down to kiss Hayden on the forehead. I'll be out back when you all are done. He said walking out the patio door. 

Devlin had all the balloons blown up when Lily and Derrick walked up from out of the woods. Hey there! You guys come to help with the decorations? Devlin said sarcastically.

We can help.... But ...No that's not the reason we came by. We just heard what happened last night. Is Everyone okay? Lily asked full of concern. 

Yeah everyone is fine..... Thanks to Attica. Hayden got a few scrapes down her neck but I healed them for her. She was a little upset last night, but she seems fine now. She is just excited for the party tonight. Devlin explained.

Well I've been thinking a lot the past few days. I'm going to move in with Derrick. So...... I was going to let Attica stay here ...she can treat the house as her own. The wolves have been building a house for Attica and Simone..... But Tyler an Simone just mated so they will need a place of their own. Lily explained. 

That's very nice of you Lily. I know Attica loves your home. It's very beautiful. ...and massive. But she said she feels at home here. I'm sure she will love that. Devlin said softly. 

Great... I'll go give her the keys. I'll have to move some of my clothes and personal items but everything else is hers. Lily said. 

Okay...She is in the kitchen with everyone else. I'm sure she will be ecstatic. Devlin stated

Lily walked into the kitchen with Derrick at her side. Attica stood up to take her plate to the dish washer. When she turned around Lily had a set of keys in her out stretched hand. What are those for? Attica asked confused. 

I'm giving you this house. I want you to have it. I'm mated now an Derrick an I will be living in his home. This is my way of Thanking you for saving my nieces life. Welcome to the family. Lily said handing her the keys an hugging her. 

I really couldnt. I don't deserve this! I am the reason she almost died. Attica cried. 

Oh, hun....... Don't ever blame yourself for another person's actions! I'm speaking from experience. You are a kind soul ....I can see it in your eyes. If you weren't you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. Please take my gift and accept that you have a family now. Lily said with tears in her eyes. 

Thank you so much. I don't know what else to say. Attica cried and hugged Lily again. 

We are going to be great friends...you an I...... I can already tell. The wolves were already building you an Simone a house, but Simone just mated with Tyler....so ....I figured they would need a place of their own. Lily explained. 

Again, Thank you so much. This house is amazing. And beautiful. It's really my dream home. Attica said wiping her tears.

Now if everyone is done eating. Let's Go get this shindig set up! Poor Devlin is out there blowing up thousands of balloons by himself!!!! Lily yelled. 

4 hours later everything looked fantastic. There were Silver, Black, an white balloons bordering the whole out back yard. They made a platform out of wood and black laminate flooring to lay on the grass for a dance floor. The pool had little white lights surrounding it with a white disco ball hanging above. There was the bar area that  had a silver white an black banner with "Congrats Devlin and Hayden" on one side. Then another banner on the other side that said "Congrats Xavier and Charlie".Then the whole back patio was lined with silver confetti. Tea light candles were on tall candle holders all the way around the patio. It looked beautiful.

This is so nice! Hayden exclaimed. 

Yeah absolutely beautiful! Charlie agreed. 

What time is it? Hayden asked. 

It's 2:00.p.m. Love. Devlin replied. 

Well Charlie an I need to go to our house to get ready. The dress Ibought her for tonight is there. Xavier stated. 

Yeah I guess we can all start getting ready now. I will have to start the BBQ around 4:00 to get all the food done before people start arriving. Devlin stated. 

Ok We will all be back here at 3:30 then. Charlie said. 

Everyone agreed and started on their way to get ready. 

Hayden got out of the shower an blow dried her hair. She was wearing her hair down tonight with all of it curled perfectly. She slipped her long Silver sequence dress on and yelled for Devlin to zip it up. 

Wow, You look beautiful hunny. Devlin said as he zipped up her dress. 

You look handsome as well baby. She replied. He had on his black an white suit with a silver lining in the pockets and a red handkerchief pulled a little out in his right breast pocket.

Hayden slipped her silver heels on as well and added her red earrings and her red bracelet. Her hair would be the black. 

They made their way to the back patio. Attica was standing by the bar talking to Tyler an Simone. They all looked great. Attica had on a long red dress with red heels and black an silver accessories. Simone was wearing a white dress with sequences and white heels with red black and silver accessories. Tyler had his black and white suit on with a silver handkerchief in his left breast pocket. They were all color coordinating with the color scheme. 

Wow! You all look so great! Hayden said walking up to them. As well as you two! AttIca replied. Simone an Tyler agreed. 

You look like a model Hayden! Simone said. 

Thank you Simone you look beautiful as well. Hayden replied.

I think you will be hit on all night Attica! Devlin told her with a smile.

I hope so, I haven't been with a man in 5 years. I forgot what it was like. She said looking away. It's a little embarassing. 

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Any man would be lucky to have you. Devlin stated and Hayden agreed. 

It's 3:45 I'm wondering what is keeping Xavier an Charlie. Hayden asked. Think we should put the food on the grill? She asked Devlin.

Yeah, I think I better. We have food warmers to keep it  warm so I think it will be fine. Devlin said. 

We will wait to bring the cold sides out on the table but we could put them in the outdoor refrigerator. Hayden suggested. 

I'll help you. Attica said following her into the house. 

4:00 and Xavier and Charlie made their way to the back patio. 

Charlie looked stunning. She had her platinum blonde hair all pulled to the side an curled into this waterfall effect. She had her long black sequence dress on with her black shinny heels. She wore a long red, black an silver necklace. Xavier walked up beside her in his all Black suit with a red handkerchief his right breast pocket.  They looked amazing.

You guys look amzing. Hayden exclaimed.

You too huzzy. ...beautiful as always! Charlie said hugging her. 

Everyone ready to party! Xavier yelled. 

Everyone yelled "Yeah" as loud as they could.

After all the food was done cooking Devlin placed everything in the warmers. Right on time ....we have a few minutes before people start showing up. Devlin announced just as Sierra and Alex, Sara and Lant, and Paisley an Bran walked through the trees to the back yard. 

Welcome guys!!!! Charlie yelled. They all looked great and they all were wearing the color scheme. Have a drink or some food while we wait for everyone to show up! She continued. 

Thanks for inviting us. Bran said and everyone else replied the same thing. They walked over to the bar and each of them ordered a drink. 

Good thing Hayden suggested to hire a bar tender for tonight or Devlin would be behind the bar all night. 

More people started showing up. Derrick an Lily, then a minute later, Damon, Hunter, Brad an Travis. After Them, Anthony, Sexton, Lee, and Landon. The whole pack was already there. It was packed. 

Xavier walked up to Damon. That is her. Over there in the red dress and the long brown hair. Xavier said pointing at Attica by the bar. 

Dang she is f*****g smoking hot Bro! Damon replied. 

I told you! Would I lie to you! Xavier said smacking his hand on Damon's shoulder.

Hell yeah I'm going to enjoy this. Damon said making his way over to Attica. 

Hi gorgeous. I'm Damon. He said holding his hand out to shake her hand. Attica looked up at the man that just approached her. Damon looked like he had just been punched in the gut and his eyes started to glow soon as they made eye contact.

What? I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the music! Attica yelled. 

Damon shook his head and grabbed her hand to pull her over by the woods. She followed.

Hi, I'm Damon. I think your my mate. he said taking her hand. The sparks that shot up their arms was confirmation enough. Yep I know you are. He said. 

Atttica's mouth dropped open. I'm 35 years old. I have a mate? She questioned. 

Well I'm almost 36. I have been looking for my mate a long time. When Xavier asked me to........ Come to this party. I never in a million years ...thought I would find you. I thought it was too late for me. He said moving closer to her. He put his hand on her cheek. You are so beautiful. Can I kiss you? Damon said leaning in.

Please do. Attica said leaning towards him. They kissed passionately. That was......... Amazing! I know what they mean now by the sparks intensifying everything. She said breathlessly. 

I can only imagine what s*x will feel like with you. Damon said fully mind blown. She looked into his bright golden eyes. Your eyes are beautiful. She said almost hypnotized. They are glowing gold right now. She stated.

How about we have a good time at the party an then we can do whatever you want after. She said with a wink. He kissed her again, hungerly an roughly. When she pulled away she was hot an bothered. 

We have to finish this party for the couple's. If you keep doing that... I'm going to lose  myself to you right here. She said breathlessly. 

Xavier seen Attica an Damon walk to the woods an smiled. He was eavesdropping when Damon walked up to Attica. He turned to Charlie. 

Your not going to believe me when I tell you this..... But ..... Attica is Damon's mate. 

What?!!!!???? She exclaimed. Seriously! Damn! Everyone is mating around here. I think fate is having a field day right about now. She laughed.

I'm happy for Attica though. She won't experience loneliness anymore Xavier said an kissed Charlie. 

I bet she is happy she followed us here now! Charlie laughed.
