Time to say Goodbye....

Devlin and Hayden turned their keys in at the motel office and headed to the SUV. Xavier and Charlie were walking up to the SUV at the same time with 4 coffees and a brown bag. What's in the bag? Hayden asked. I got everyone a bacon an cheese bagel. Charlie said. That's sounds so good, I'm hungry after our workout in the shower. Hayden said winking at Devlin. Devlin smiled at her and said. Ok hun get in the vehicle. Everyone climbed in an Charlie passed the food out. I'm good, Devlin said when Charlie tried to give him the bagel, give mine to Xavier. He needs it more than I do. Devlin stated. You know I will eat it. Xavier exclaimed. Charlie laughed an handed it to him. You want to watch a movie? Charlie asked Xavier. Sure. Find something, sexy! I'll watch whatever you want to watch. Charlie turned on a vampire, werewolf movie. This seems suitable she laughed. Let's watch it then. Xavier said. 

15 hours later they got off the Lewis Street exit to head to their loft apartment where they would be staying until morning. We will just pack what we need and all the pictures and stuff that means anything to us Charr. Everything else can stay. Hayden said. We won't need the furniture or appliances. I'm just going to grab my makeup and a few outfits an my photos. Charlie said. Me too, we can always get what we want later. Hayden stated. Well ladies...... We may not need a Uhaul then. Xavier said. We will see how much we have after its packed but I don't believe we will need one either. Hayden said. Hayden decided to drive 2 hours ago so she wouldn't have to give directions when they arrived in New York. She pulled into her parking space and shut the engine off. Wow it feels weird being here right now and we have only been gone 5 days. Charlie said. I know right, I was just thinking the same thing. Hayden replied. Well let's get up here an pack for a few hours then get some rest. We can load everything in the morning. Devlin said. They all were exhausted an hungry. Hopefully you ladies have some chow in that apartment because I'm starved. Xavier said rubbing his stomach. Oh my poor baby.....goochie goochie gooo. Charlie mocked while pinching his cheeks. Your silly.... One of the many reasons why I love so much. Xavier said grabbing her under the knees to pick her up an carry her bridal style to the elevator. You guys are both silly. Hayden stated. Soon as she tried to walk into the elevator Devlin grabbed her wrist. What is it babe? Hayden asked. Is there anyone else that lives in this building? Devlin asked seriously. I have neighbor on the backside of the building, why? Hayden asked nervously. Ok that must be it then, I just heard 2 heartbeats coming from inside. If your saying that there are neighbors behind you.... That's who I could be hearing. He explained. Oh ok. Well I have alarms on all my Windows an doors..... SO if anyone broke in they would be going off. Hayden said. It's ok babe. I have a strong handsome vampire to keep me safe. Hayden said seductively while standing on her toes to lean up an give him a kiss. He picked her up an spun her around. Yes, you do sweetheart an I will never let anything happen to you. I searched for you too long to lose you now. You are my life Hayden and when we get back home, I'm going to show you how happy we will be. Devlin said taking her by the hand to get in the elevator. Xavier an Charlie were already rolling their eyes. Come on love birds, we are always waiting on you two! Charlie said sarcastically. They rode the elevator up an Hayden unlocked the door. Wow. This is amazing. Xavier said. I've always wanted a loft apartment, I love the industrial look of them. He explained. Yeah when Hayden an I seen that this place came up for rent we called the landlord every single day just to get it. Charlie said. We even paid 2 months rent so that he would pick us. There were 3 other couples wanting it and we were very persistent! Hayden said an turned to give Charlie a high five. Yep, we are awesome. Charlie stated matter of factly. It's been our home for 2 years. Now...... It's time to say Goodbye. I'm not going to miss New York but I'm definitely going to miss this apartment. Charlie said sadly. Let's have some drinks while we pack! It will be like a moving away party! Charlie yelled. Sounds great to me! Hayden said. 

A few hours later Hayden had a little buzz. She felt giddy. Charlie can you come with me to the bathroom really quick..... I need to talk to you about something important. Sure, Charlie said stumbling a little when she stood up from being on the floor going through cabinets for so long. What's is it babe? Charlie asked when they closed the door. Hayden inhaled sharply, trying to think of a way to start the conversation to gently let her know the news her and Devlin discussed lastnight. Well, you know you are like a sister to me Charr.... I've decided to take Devlin and I .....to the next level .....I've asked him to change me Charlie. Hayden blurted the last part out. Okaaayyyy? What..... Does that.... Exactly mean Hayden? Charlie asked. It means he has to kill me to make me into a vampire..... Well not kill me.... I explained that totally wrong.. He has to drain most of my blood then give me his blood. I have thought long and hard about this Charlie, I just want you to support me and be there for me, I know I supported your decision to shift.... even if it was the most painful experience I've ever had to watch you go through. I just realized when we stopped at that shitty motel, and we got attacked.... I don't want to be helpless. I don't want to hide behind Devlin or Xavier or you even. I want to be able to defend myself if it comes down to it. Hayden protested gently. Ok Hay Hay.... It will be okay....... If that's what you decided to do chick, I'm there behind you, Every. Step. Of.The.Way! Promise Sis! Charlie said pulling her in for a hug. I think we are done packing Charlie told Hayden while wiping a tear running down her cheek. Charlie ..... I Love you more than anything..... If you don't want me to do it..... Then I wont. But I really want this, not only for me, but for Devlin too. Hayden I'm serious.... I want you to do whatever makes you happy, and.... If that makes you happy, then I'm happy for you. Ok Chick! I just don't know what I would do without you sis, and it scares me. I just don't want anything bad to happen to you, I almost lost you once. I don't want to feel that again. That's all. Charlie explained. Ok, Well we will talk more when we get back home to Sistersville Lake. Hayden said. 

Back in the Living room Xavier an Devlin were laughing their asses off. Holy Shit.... I. Did.Not.See.That.Coming! Xavier yelled and continued to laugh. 

What's so funny? Charlie asked with a smile. Well this movie "The Hangover" is hilarious. I did not know a monkey could jack someone off.... An that Chinese guys p***s was microscopic. It was funny! I've never seen anything this funny before! Xavier laughed. Yeah and they found a lion in their bathroom. Devlin stated while laughing. I don't think I have ever been that wasted! Xavier said. Come here baby. Come sit on my lap. I feel like I haven't seen you for hours. I've missed you hun. Xavier said to Charlie. What's wrong hunny? I can tell your upset about something, the bond.... remember?Xavier asked. It's nothing, me and Hayden were just talking about the good times we have had in this apartment an we got a little teary eyed.  Charlie lied. It wasn't her information to share even though she couldn't stand the thought of lying to her man. Ok, babe, Well if you wanna talk about something, you know you can tell me anything. Xavier knew she was fibbing. I'm ok. I'm just ready to get back home. Charlie said with a yawn. How about we all get some rest. We have another long day of driving again tomorrow, but at least we won't need a Uhaul. Xavier stated. Yeah I think we are all ready for bed. 

Hayden shut the bedroom door behind her and Devlin set on the bed. You told her? Devlin questioned. Yeah, she is like a sister to me I feel like ..... I don't know.... Almost like I needed her to say that it is ok, it means a lot to me for her to support my decisions. Hayden expressed. I'm not mad sweetheart, but it seemed she was a little upset? Devlin asked nervously. I kinda explained it wrong and she thought I was gonna die. For good, and it brought up bad memories for her. She is scared of losing me. I understand, cause when she was shifting I thought she wasn't gonna make it. Those screams, I hear them Every time I close my eyes. It scared me. I could hear her bones breaking. I know she is ok now. But it's just the thought of her going through all that, it felt unreal.Hayden explained the best she could. Come here beautiful. I think we all just need a full days rest. We don't have to be in a hurry. We don't have anywhere to be when we get back. Xavier's pack is watching their businesses. I have 3 houses and a beach house. We really have no reason to rush here an rush back. We can take our time on the way back. Devlin said trying to cheer her up.  Come on lay down with me. I know your hungry handsome. Hayden said gently. I need you to feed from me right now. I want to feel your fangs pierce my skin, I want to feel you against me. Hayden said. Ok baby , then we can get some rest. Devlin said pulling her closer and leaning in to drink from her. That feels amazing Devlin. I can feel the bond between us when you drink from me. I know you haven't changed me yet but it's like I can feel the love you have for me.  Hayden tried to explain. I understand completely hun, these is why we don't feed from humans more than once each person because of that reason. But as for you, you are Mine, and I am yours, and we are soul mates, so I want to you to feel that connection with me. Devlin explained. That's why it feels so amazing when you feed from me.Hayden stated. Yes beautiful, it is. You ready to get some sleep? Devlin asked. Yea babe, . I love you Goodnight. Hayden replied.  Love you too sweetheart. Goodnight. 

The next morning Hayden woke up at 9:35 a.m. and everyone was still asleep. She went to the kitchen an started the coffee pot. She looked out the kitchen window and it was cloudy outside, it looked like it was going to rain. She looked down at the SUV to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. Everything looked good. Nothing broken or missing. It happens in New York all the time. She thought to herself. Charlie walked into the kitchen rubbing her eyes and yawned. Good Morning sunshine. Hayden said. Good Morning chick. Is the coffee ready? Charlie asked. Almost girl... I know ....I need some too... I didnt  want to wake up this morning,I just wanted to sleep. I don't think Devlin went to sleep until 5:00 a.m. Last time I got up to use the bathroom it was 4:39a.m. and when I layed back down he was almost asleep. I think he will probably sleep at least another hour. Hayden said. Well I think Xavier was up late too, he was still watching t.v in my room when I fell asleep at 3:00a.m. Charlie said yawning. I'm not hungover thank God. As much as I drank last night I figured I would wake up with a headache. Hayden said while pouring 2 cups of coffee. Charlie stood up and looked out the kitchen window. Wow it's ugly outside. Why don't we.................. What the f**k?????? Hayden who is that???? Charlie asked super freaked out. Where???? Hayden looked out the window, looking around everywhere. Right by the building across the street! He is staring right up here! His eyes are blood red Hayden, please tell me you see him! Charlie yelled. Hayden looked again, staring by the building across the street. . She seen who she was talking about but her eye sight wasn't like a werewolves, she couldn't see the color of his eyes. And, he was staring right up at their kitchen window. When she turned around frightened, she bumped right into Devlin! Babe! There is a man standing across the street by that building! Charlie said his eyes are red and he is staring right up here! Hayden yelled. Devlin looked out the window and shut the curtains. We need to come up with a plan. That my dear is a .......vampire, but not like me, his eyes are red because he feeds from humans until they die. He kills everyone he feeds from. Xavier came running into the kitchen. Are you serious! I haven't seen a Muerte in years! Xavier exclaimed. There have been word of a few here in New York and Jersey. Devlin stated seriously. We need to take them out. There will be so many innocent people that will suffer if we dont. .Xavier yelled. Shhhhhhhh, we have to be smart about this! They are very strong an fast. They drink twice as much blood as I do! That Muerte can probably hear us from there! Devlin said pointing across the street.We have to have a plan I know he caught our scents or he wouldn't be standing out there now! Devlin explained. Charlie how bright red were his eyes? Were they deep red or light red? Devlin asked. They were a light red.... why? What does that mean? Charlie asked. The deeper red they are the stronger they are. But if you are saying that his eyes are light red, Xavier an I will be able to take him out, he isn't at full strength yet.... Meaning he hasn't killed very many people yet. Devlin explained. I just hope they aren't starting a group, that would be really bad! Xavier said questionably. No they usually run by themselves. They are too greedy for blood to run with a group, they would tear each other apart. Devlin said. So ..... What do we do? Hayden asked . You , are not going to do anything babe, you are going to lock yourself in the bathroom because there is no window in there! Devlin said scared for his beautiful girlfriend. If he gets a hold of you he will kill you, I'm not taking that chance. Devlin explained to her sincerely. Charr, please don't tell me you are going out there! Hayden questioned. I am only going for backup, that's if that thing gets the upper hand, which I doubt it will... Xavier and Devlin are strong, so they will be even stronger together. I promise.... I won't do anything unless I have too. Okay? Charlie said. I don't want you to,  please!  Hayden yelled. Charlie looked at Haydens terrified expression and gave in. Ok but if I hear them in trouble I am going out to help. Charlie said sternly. Okay ....I don't want any of you to go but I know I'm not going to win that arguement. Hayden said sadly. Devlin walked up to her an took both of her hands in his. Look beautiful.... I have dealt with these Muertes before, They may be strong and fast but I am smart an strong an fast, so is Xavier. Devlin explained. We will be fine.... Charlie can you peek out an see if he is still there? Xavier asked kindly.  Charlie walked to the kitchen window and pulled the bottom corner of the curtain back just enough to peek out the bottom of the window. Yes, guys he is on this side of the street now, he is standing by the SUV ..... Still staring up here! Charlie whispered. Turn the light off. Xavier whispered. Devlin you an I will sneak out the back and go around across the street so we can come up behind him. I will shift, I will be faster in my wolf form. Xavier said. Hayden I need you in the bedroom for a minute. Devlin said softly. They walked to the room an shut the door. I need to feed just a little from you so I will be a little stronger. Devlin explained. Anything you need baby, take it. I don't want anything to happen to you. . I'm scared Devlin! Hayden whispered. It will be fine, I'm coming back to you.... I promise. Devlin kissed her forehead. I'm gonna go ahead an feed... ok? Hayden responded by tilting her head to the side an gave him a sad smile. 

Hayden and Devlin walked out of the bedroom and Hayden turned and gave him a hug and a kiss....... PLEASE be careful!  Hayden said crying. Charlie took her hand an led her to the bathroom. Here chick sit down. Are you okay Hayden? Yea, I just ...... I can't lose him Charr! Hayden said wiping her eyes. It Will be fine, I know it... Look we have a werewolf and a vampire ...against one loser vampire! Charlie exclaimed. We have to make sure to stay quiet now, I just heard the back door open an close. I have to make sure nothing goes wrong. Charlie said focusing on the noise outside. Hayden just nodded and started to pray. .........
