After leaving the store. Xavier, Charlie, Hayden an Devlin decided to go out to lunch. I want steak. Xavier said. 

There is a steak house across the street. You guys want to go there? Hayden asked. I hear they have great food. They have a chain all over the United States so I would say it's really good ...or someone has more money than they know what to do with. 

That sounds great to me. Xavier rubbed his stomach. I'm starving. I could eat a whole cow right about now. 

Charlie laughed. We just had breakfast before we came out hun. You can't be starving. But then again you are always starving! Your the only man I know that could eat all day, everyday, an never get fat! 

You could too! We are both wolves. Our metabolism runs a lot faster. It really surprises me that you are never hungry.Xavier said to Charlie.

I am hungry. But I'm not starving baby! I guess where I'm just getting use to being a wolf I don't eat as much yet. Maybe my food habits will increase! You never know. Then we will both be eating us out of house an home! Charlie laughed.

You guys are hilarious to watch. Devlin stated. Now let's go. Remember we have to be home when they deliver our stuff. That means we have an hour an a half.

45 minutes later they finished eating at the Omega Steakhouse and they said their goodbyes an headed home to wait for their deliveries. 

Xavier an Charlie walked into the house an Xavier sat down on the couch. I have to tell the pack that I found Melissa an Brett's daughter. Xavier said rubbing his temples. I can't believe they are dead. Brett used to be my dad's Beta. And that poor girl had to go through the changes alone. I couldn't imagine how scared she was. Not knowing what's happening because her parents weren't there to explain it to her. 

Charlie walked up behind him an started rubbing his shoulders. I know. ...if you weren't there when I was going through all of that. I would have thought I was gonna die. Do you think any of the Pack will remember them? Is Anyone old enough to remember them? 

Damon should remember them. He was almost 18 when they left. Derrick as well. They both should remember them. Xavier said closing his eyes to enjoy the shoulder massage. His phone started ringing an he opened his eyes.

Hello Xavier..... It's Kensley. I thought about everything you told me. Would it be alright if I come with them on the delivery an ....... Maybe I could meet everyone in the pack before....... I make my decision? 

Sure. When are you coming? Xavier asked.

We are getting ready to leave the store now. My shift is over. I was gonna just stay there when the guys leave. If you could drop me back off at home. I don't have a car right now. I'm working on that. I just got my drivers license. Kensley said. 

OK. We will be here. We just live across the road from the pack house. We can go over soon as they unload everything. Does that sound ok? Xavier asked.

Yeah we will be there in 20 minutes. And....... Xavier .......Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me. I'll see you soon. Thanks again. 

No problem sweety. See you soon. Bye. Xavier hung the phone up an stuck it back in his pocket. 

I need to call everyone an make sure they are home. Even the ones that are mated need to be at the pack house. I think a few of them are cousins of hers. She needs all the family she can get right now. Xavier said standing up an walking to the door.

What made Melissa an Brett leave the pack? Charlie asked. 

They said they wanted their daughter to have a normal life but I think differently. I don't know why but I have a feeling it's something else entirely. I hope we never have to find out either. Xavier said turning to look at Charlie. 

I hope so too if I'm going by the look on your face. You look scared an I've never seen you scared. Charlie said. 

Well when the Goddess came to me an told me about my mate coming, she also said something else was coming an that I needed to protect you from it. I was hoping she was talking about Devlin, but now I'm not so sure. Devlin is a good man. Then I thought maybe it was Attica an her problem with Axel. But that was taken care of..... So now I think it has something to do with this girl. Maybe whoever was after her parents is after her now? I don't know but I'm gonna figure it out! Xavier said with glowing silver eyes. 

I'm helping too! Charlie exclaimed. You are not alone! You have the pack an me an Devlin an Hayden! We will all be here! We can take whatever it is! Ok! Charlie exclaimed with her eyes glowing teal. 

Xavier walked up an took Charlie into a tight embrace. Ok. Calm down Gorgeous. You are beautiful when you are mad. I just don't want you to shift before they get here. Calm down Love. It will be ok! I'm sorry I got worked up. He said an kissed her. 

A knock on the door stopped them. Xavier turned an opened the door. 

Hello. We have a delivery for Charlie an Xavier Alverez. The delivery guy said. 

That's us. Charlie replied. You guys can sit it all here in the living room. 

Soon as Xavier signed the papers the two men went to unload the truck. Kensley stepped up to Xavier on the front porch. Hi. I'm a little nervous. So....... What do you want me to do? Or where should I wait? She asked nervously.

It's okay  you don't have to be nervous, we are all family here. You can wait inside with Charlie if you would like. Xavier said calmly. Trying to calm her nerves so she would feel comfortable. 

Yeah, come on in Kensley. Would you like something to drink or eat? I know you just got off work. You have to be hungry. Charlie suggested.

Sure. Thank you. You guys are so nice. It's been a long day. I appreciate it. Kensley said softly.

I can make you anything you want. Name it. We will have it, I'm sure... Xavier loves to eat. Charlie laughed. 

Kensley smiled. Anything will do. I'll be happy with a roast beef sandwich. Maybe with some ice tea or can of soda. 

Ok. You can sit anywhere you like..... A roast beef sandwich coming up. Charlie replied.

Can you make me one too babe! Xavier yelled from the back of the truck. A minute later he came in the door carrying a big box. Charlie laughed. 

What? I'm just helping them. Making their job a little easier since you ordered the whole store Love! Xavier laughed. 

Charlie an Kensley started laughing too. Sorry but that is funny. Kensley stated covering her mouth to hide the smile. 

Well...... Look around Kensley, does this look like a place a woman has lived in? Charlie asked. It's bland! It needed a little color! 

I can see that. She does have a point Xavier. I have to take her side on this one. Sorry. Kensley said softly. 

Sure!!!! Ladies! You just gang up on me because I'm a man! I like the house like this! I don't see anything wrong with it. Xavier smiled an winked at Charlie.

They were just trying to make Kensley feel comfortable. It was working, she loosened up an began to smile an talk. She even finished her roast beef sandwich with sun chips an sweet tea. You know if you need help with this Charlie.... I could help. I love to decorate. Kensley said with a smile. 

I would love that Kensley! I'm not much of a decorator. I know how I want it to look but I can never MAKE it look the way I imagine it. Charlie said excitedly. 

Well you two can work on that an I'll go round up the pack to be at the packhouse. Xavier said giving Charlie a kiss an then heading out the door. 

Ok..... Where do we start. Charlie laughed and looked at all the boxes that just got delivered. 

Let's just start with whatever is in this box. Kensley said opening the box beside them. There are so many boxes let's just go in order from front to back. She suggested an they got started. 

Two hours later Charlie was impressed. Everything looked so beautiful. Most everything was black an white an there were little accents of red in each room. You are very good at this Kensley! Charlie exclaimed.

I love doing stuff like this. It's one of the reason I work where I work. I love to decorate. What do you think it's like...... Living in the pack house? Kensley changed the subject. 

I'm not sure hunny. I know there is a lot of men in there. That's why I've been thinking. Maybe you could stay with Xavier an I until we get you a house built. The women that were in the pack house aren't there anymore because they found their mates. So I don't think it would be fair to put you with a bunch of men. Charlie replied.

I haven't made up my mind yet. I wanna meet everyone first. Decide when I do. This is all new to me! So I'm really nervous. I just turned 18 so maybe I will find my mate? Who knows. I'm still learning  these things. There isn't a lot to go on. Just a few stories online. Most don't tell me much. But I get bits and pieces of the packs an how they work. Kensley explained.

I believed everything. When he told me he was going to claim me. He told me what to expect. That when it all began. But you know Devlin , the one you met in the store too.... He is a vampire. Charlie said. 

Oh my Goodess! Vampires are dangerous! I thought we weren't suppose to get along with them! Kensley exclaimed. 

No.....  Devlin is a good man. Hayden is my best friend. She is about to become a vampire as well. You can trust both of them. He has saved our asses more than once. We also have two witches mated to two of our pack members. We don't discriminate against any kind here. As long as we get along we are one big happy family. Plus witches an vampires are great to have on our side. You will meet all of them. If you are ready. Charlie said getting up from the couch an holding her hand out for Kensley to take it. 

Okay. I'm ready. She said taking Charlie's hand. 

They walked over to the pack house an onto the front porch. 

It's so loud in there! Kensley said softly taking a step back. 

Oh..... It's Hunters birthday today! I totally forgot! They are throwing him a party. It's okay.... no one will hurt you here. I promise. Charlie said taking her hand. 

She opened the door an they stepped in. 

She walked over an turned the music down. Xavier walked out of the crowd an walked up to them. 

Everyone is here ...... Including Attica an Damon, Derrick an Lily, And Simone an Tyler. All the other mates as well. She already met Hayden an Devlin so they are home putting up all their new decor. 

Xavier turned around to face everyone. 

Okay! EVERYONE! Quiet down! I have someone I would like you to meet! Some of you may not remember but we had two pack mates leave the pack 18 years ago! Melissa an Brett! Melissa was pregnant. Full term when she left the pack house with her mate Brett! They wanted to give their daughter a normal life! Well I regret to inform you. She has come back to us! I would like all of you to introduce yourselves. I know a few of you were related to Melissa or Brett so she may be a relative of a few of you. It's so nice to meet family! I have felt so alone for years! She said stepping back after the hug. And I've heard a lot about you ......you are Attica, the witch right? I've never met a witch. You are so pretty! Kensley exclaimed.

I'm not sure yet. You two are the first I've met besides Xavier an Charlie. I also met the vampire Devlin an the human Hayden too. Everyone has been so nice. I've never felt this much hope before. I haven't been with real family since I was six. But..... I'm going to meet a few more people. It was so nice to meet you two. Kensley said walking away. She walked up to a group of young wolves. There was at least seven in this group.

Charlie! Charlie!!!!! Xavier!!!!! Kensley screamed and Hunter stepped back an released her hand. He hadn't even realized he was still holding her hand until he dropped it an felt the separation immediately. He felt the need to hug her. To make her feel better. Why was she scared of him? He thought himself. 

Xavier an Charlie were there in a second. What's wrong!?!? Charlie said taking her into a hug. 

She looked into Kensley's hazel eyes that were full of tears, an smoothed her blonde hair out of her face to realize she was crying happy tears. I'm so overwhelmed. But I'm so happy too! He is my mate! she turned an pointed at Hunter and smiled. Tears still rolling down her face. I'm scared as well! I feel like all of this is happening so fast! I just met you guys 4hours ago! Kensley laughed with tears running down her face. 

It's Okay! None of us ever plan to meet our mates! They come to us when we need them the most! Xavier cut in. Right now you have Hunter feeling scared that you are rejecting him. That's not a good thing. 

I'm so sorry! she said running up to hug Hunter. I'm just so happy an nervous an overwhelmed all at once. She let go of him an looked up into his gray eyes. I'm not rejecting you, I want you to know that! I want to be your mate. I feel so happy! She got on her tip toes to kiss him. He grabbed the back of her head an gave into the kiss. Everyone started clapping. 

She got embarrassed an pulled away not realizing everyone was watching. Her face turned bright red. Hunter was staring at her with amazement . He couldn't believe this girl came out of nowhere an found him. On his birthday! It's the best birthday anyone could ever ask for. Tyler an Simone walked up to him. Congratulations man! I knew you would find your mate! Tyler said clapping his hand on Hunters shoulder. Hunter was still shocked from the kiss.

That's fine. I'll have the wolves start building the house for you an Hunter to live in. You guys will just have to find the spot on the property you want it. Also you won't have to go back to work at that store anymore. You may work at one of the night clubs. I will have a separate account set up for you an Hunter.
