The Adopted baby

Anshuman's POV: I got up at 5. Went for jog, today was my first day at my new college. I did my high schooling from US. Where I lived with my uncle and aunt. My parents sent me there because there were some family problems running in the house between my parents and my grandparents and it were most likely to affect my studies. I just came back after 5 years. After the problems got solved. I was not at all excited to go college. I wanted to be at home, catch up with my old friends, eat food made by my mom. And get all the pampering I missed these years. After getting shower, I went towards the breakfast table. Greeted everyone and sat down with them.  My grandfather started the conversation with me. "Are Anshu beta tumhe college nahi jana kya, tayyar kyo nahi hue ho abtak. (Anshu beta, don't you have to go to the college, why aren't you ready yet?). I replied, "Nahi dadaji, aaj mai aaplogo ke saath rehna chahta hu, itne saalo baad yaha aaya hu, kuch pal to sath bitane dijiye aapke saath".( No grandpa, I want to spend sometime with you all, Afterall I came back after long time, give me sometime to spend with you all).   He laughed and replied, "you're right beta, but you need to go to college, studies are most important, We aren't going anywhere you're living with us only, you'll get plenty of time to spend with us, but don't neglect your studies." And then dad said, "Stop your drama, now go get ready, and meet me at my office after college, I'll need to teach you the basics of the work." I got excited, I like the business, I am very excited to join my father's company. I want to help it reach to new heights.I went to the room, got ready for the college, picked up my car keys and went to college after bidding bye to all. Later did I know I was going to meet someone. At the college: I parked my car and saw the building. It was good. After all, it is my father's. I know every nook and corner of this building, me and my friends used to come here to play at the basketball court. It love it's games section. It has literally everything, Billiards, basketball court, swimming pool, cricket court, All clubs are interesting. I went directly to the principal's office. He got up from his seat seeing me, Forwarded his hands for me to shake and said," Hello, Mr. Soni, How are you?, How have your studies been in new york?." I smiled at him, shaked hands and gestured him to sit, so we can talk further, I replied, "Hello to you too, Mr. Sharma. I am good. Studies there were great as well. I am finally back at my home and planning to do my post-graduate from here, As my father would have already informed you. And I would expect you to please treat me as your other students, I don't like it, I am of your son's age and you still talk formally to me." He wanted to object but I continued, "Well, please don't expect the same from me, because I'll be your stud ent now and I would not like anyone else to find out about me, I would like to graduate as any normal student here. Hope you understand? Sir." Streching the word SIR a little longer. He sighed and replied, 'you're such a good child, Anshuman. Here take your locker keys, information brochure, and you're class schedule, you can join your class now. Let me know if you need any help." I got up and replied ," Sure uncle, oops Sir. I'll be going now". I was on my way to the class, everyone's eyes were on me which I ignored royally. I am kind of used to getting such attention, when suddenly a girl bumps on me and fell down. I stared at that clumsy girl, I can only see her soft shiny hair as she is facing downwards, picking her books, but I felt something strange happening to me. Normally I lash out at such situations, but I don't know why I didn't did that to her. I just bent down and asked "I'm sorry, lemme help you". I thought she would appreciate me helping her. But she did just the opposite, she lashed out on me, She said,"No thanks, I can do my work on my own Mr. You mind your own business. Try Keeping your eyes open while walking."  And walked away. Leaving me amused, flabbergasted. I gasped trying to get what just happened. I must have heard her wrong. She didn't said what I just heard did she? Don't get me wrong I was not angry I was just amused, a girl just talked like that to me, and she didn't even saw me, Maybe that's why she behaved like this, probably if she meets me again she'll apologize and want to get close to me. After all no girl can ignore my charms. I need to get her apology. She can't get away after talking to me like that, but I don't even know her name. Looks like I need to wait till I meet her again.  Thinking this I went towards my class. I was a little late. But I don't mind as I was fashionably late. Everyone started looking at me the moment I stepped in the class. Girls checking me out and boys were as usual jealous of my charms. I looked over trying to find a vacant spot to sit. And I got it.. I went there asked that girl "Excuse me, if the seat is vacant would you mind me sitting here?". She wasn't looking at me but I can tell it's her, The soft-shiny hair. I didn't knew I'll meet her again this soon. She saw me, I saw her, And oh my my, she's so beautiful, she's just like a falling angel, short eyes, brown orbs, pointed cute little nose, such a kissable heart shaped lips. I just got lost, I thought I can just sit beside her and see her all day like this.  After what feels like forever, the girl beside her, probably her friend replied instead of her." Ya sure, why not?, Well Hello I am Ayesha, Ayesha Singh, I see you're new here, if you want I can be your friend and help you get adjusted to this college."   I can tell she got into me, but I'm not interested at her. I am interested in this girl beside me. I replied to her While setting down on the seat "Well, Thanks Ayesha, but I would rather like your friend here to say those words." I can see my girl getting surprised by my words, but quickly regains her composure. She was about to say something but the teacher came and she started concentrating on her lecture. I think she was kind of studious, like me but she's not like any nerds, she's beautiful, her brown orbs got me held. I can see her for hours like this. I don't know what happened to me. but I want her. I want to get close to her, I want to befriend her or maybe more. The lecture ended and she left with her friend ignoring me, I chuckled at her attics. She really thinks she can run away from me. I'll not let it happen.  I got to know her name is Vandana, as her friend was whispering to her during the lecture . Probably consoling her to say yes to be my friend. Looks like it's time to pay uncle Sharma a visit. I went towards the office but the principal was not there. But no worries the whole management knows me so my work would be done.  I told them as I'm new here I want to choose my own partner for the upcoming assignments who can explain me better about the projects, and help me to adjust to the studies here too. And they agreed and told me to give them the name of that person after sometime. I can search for the perfect person till that time. I thanked them and came out. I went to my next class but I was getting bored as I already knew what the teacher was gonna explain today so I came out and thought paying a visit to library.  I went to the library got a book, and searched for place to sit down. But to my luck, I saw her there. I went and sat in front of her. As usual she paid no heed to me. I was only seeing her. A while later, I thought about telling her about something I planned to do from tomorrow. I tore a slip from my notebook and wrote on it. "Get ready for tomorrow my dear. It's gonna be a big day for you" added a wink at last. And slipped it to her. She read it, but choose to ignore, crushed that paper, threw it in the dustbin and walked away. I got angry, this time I really was angry. How dare she threw the paper, that too while I'm here. Now I really need to do something about her. Just wait girl.. tomorrow you'll regret meeting me. After my classes, I went to my father's office, I need to talk about her to my father, I was quite surprised and shocked to know that he already knew about her. He said he has already talked to her father and it's even settled. It was a little too early for me to catch, but I like it. I mentally smirked thinking what she might be thinking now. Later we got home together, had dinner talked about it to everyone, had dinner and went for my room.  At my room: I changed my clothes, and laid down on the bed thinking, how fast it all happened, when I reached the workplace. I directly went towards his office.  I knocked and he let me in. The first thing he said to me was," Son, I am going to retire in 20 days, you have only 20 days to fill yourself in and to got to know the work of this office. On the 20th day, you're going to be the new CEO of SONI ENTERPRISES. And that will also be the day of your wedding." I got shocked, wedding?. Why now? It's too soon and I already have got my girl, How can I get married to someone else other than her? No I can't let this happen I need to stop this wedding.  Then I heard my dad snapping his fingers in front of me. I came out of trance when he continued, "And tomorrow is your engagement. All the preparations have been done. And it's already settled. Here is her information and biodata." sliding a file towards me on the table. I got angry. He can't do this. I got up bumped my fist on the table and said, " Dad, what is this? How can you fix my engagement without even telling me. I just got back a few days ago, joined college today and you already fixed my marriage?.Dad, I ac-" I was going to tell him that I like someone but he opened the file to reveal the biodata and information of the girl and cut me off saying " First see this, then think if you want to cancel the marriage".  I raised my brows at him and saw the file. I got shocked. It was my girl. The girl I am supposed to marry is her. Vandana, My Vandana. Woah, looks like my dad was one step ahead of me. I snapped at him for no reason. Actually even I wanted to ask him to do this. I glanced at him and smiled apologetically.
