Hearing him suddenly caused Jamie to exit her mind and jump to reality. She jerked her hand to suddenly put it on her chest. The redhead wasn't used to the sparks from when he touched her. It was strange and much more potent than how she was with Max. However, she knew it would be better if she just stayed distant. "Look…. I know I'm technically your mate, but you understand, right?" She never thought she would have a mate since she was a kid. Soon she began rambling. "I mean, I'm already dating Max, and it's hard to leave someone even if they are an Asshole and stuff, but I just…. I'm sorry." Jamie smiled before finally spotting the popcorn box behind the cookie jar. "Oh, there it is." She laughed nervously before opening it up and putting some popcorn into the microwave.
