Isaac Luther, who has a military past and now chooses to work as a psychiatric nurse, has always felt like he wasn't enough. He's been on countless blind dates and women always reject him when they find out about his profession. On the other hand, Isaac never gave up or hated them because he believed that everyone deserves to have their own standards. Isaac never expected to be caught up in a relationship that would change his life. When he accidentally approaches Anastasia Oliver, a beautiful woman from a wealthy aristocratic family. One mistake at the café brings him into a world he never imagined. Given the chance to prove that he is more than just a nurse with a dark past, he is more than just a nurse.

Blind Date
Isaac opened the café door gently, a clinking sound could be heard. He stared at the phone screen and muttered, “White dress.” His eyes moved wildly to see a woman sitting not far from him, wearing a sleeveless white dress, very beautiful. Isaac was unconsciously stunned for a few moments. He could faintly hear her chatting with someone over the phone. “Is there such a ridiculous rule in our family?” The voice on the phone sounded shortly after. “Our family needs an heir. Our family's stability and reputation depends on your marriage. You don't deserve to inherit the family business if you don't get married.” “That's a ridiculous notion!” The woman furrowed her brows, even if her face looked angry, she was still very beautiful. “You should find a marriage partner. You're no longer young. Do you want to be an old maid? My friends even have grandchildren. If you don't get married this year, don't blame me for forcing you to marry my business partner's grandson.” “Why are you acting so arbitrarily?” the woman asked in a harsh tone. She couldn't even contain her snort. Isaac hesitantly stepped closer, he smiled politely and sat down opposite her. He didn't even bother to hide his admiring gaze at the figure before him. “My name is Isaac Luther. I'm 28 years old.” The woman frowned, she lowered her phone unconsciously. “Huh?” “I work at a private hospital not far from here as a psychiatric nurse. I decided to take up this profession because I used to work in the military and was stationed at the front lines. Some of my colleagues suffered mental damage from the war so I was very motivated to study psychiatry.” Icaas still maintained his polite smile, he explained gently and seemed very virtuous. The woman before her was silent, she looked at Isaac with a complicated gaze. The woman then cleared her throat. “I understand,” she said just for formality's sake. She didn't even try to cover the unfriendly look on her face. Hearing her soft voice, Isaac was even more motivated. “Some of my blind dates rejected me after hearing my current profession. They think nurses aren't good enough. Some also broke up with me after some time of dating for the same reason.” “Are you angry at them?” the woman asked then. The look on her face didn't fluctuate in the slightest, but the tone of her voice was much friendlier. Isaac shook his head. He answered honestly, “Everyone has different preferences for the partner they want. I can't judge them just because they don't like me.” “You are a good person.” The woman couldn't help but praise. “Not everyone has the patience you do.” Isaac chuckled, but he shook his head. “I'm only human. And by the way, can I know your name?” “You're very attractive, Isaac Luther,” she replied. “My name is Anastasia Oliver, but people call me Annie.” “Your name is very pretty.” Isaac couldn't help but compliment. “Are you working or doing something now? You don't have to answer that if you don't want to.” Anastasia smiled faintly, even the curve of the lips almost resembling a grin. “I just work at a family-owned company. There's nothing special about it.” “You must be someone who takes your work very seriously,” Isaac said after noticing some rough spots on the palm of the figure before him. “Someone like you should be able to find a partner very easily, why come on a blind date like this?” Anastasia was once again silent, she was staring at the screen of her phone which was still on. “My grandfather is forcing me to get married by the end of this year. I just want to try to find someone who matches my vision of life.” Isaac nodded his head in understanding. “Where is the company you work for? It would be great if our workplaces aren't too far apart.” “Oliver's company, Zenith Vortex,” Anastasia replied without hesitation. Hearing that, Isaac froze, his polite smile frozen. There are many people with the last name Oliver in this country. But there was only one Oliver family that owned a company called Zenith Vortex. A family that ranks among the richest aristocrats in the world. A thing that man had never been able to achieve even by wishful thinking. The hospital where he was currently working was also founded by the Zenith Vortex Group. Isaac curled his lips awkwardly. “Uh, did you come here to have a blind date with Mrs. Luther's request?” he asked cautiously. Anastasia shook her head. “Mrs. Luther? Is that your mother?” Realizing one thing, Isaac in the end could not help the feeling of embarrassment gnawing at his heart. “Annie, uh, I mean Miss Oliver, I'm sorry, but I seem to have recognized the wrong person this time.” Anastasia didn't answer, she looked at Isaac with a flat gaze. She didn't even make much of an expression when she saw the man blush at the tips of his ears in embarrassment. Isaac looked down. “I sincerely apologize for this incident, Miss Oliver. It was nice meeting you but I have to go now. My blind date must be waiting for me. The man slowly stood up, he bowed politely and hurriedly stepped away from Anastasia's table. He clenched his fists, starting to curse himself for acting stupidly. He had not even confirmed whether the woman in the white dress was his blind date or not. “I acted implausibly because I was bewitched by her beauty,” the man muttered helplessly. He no longer even dared to look back. People like him, even should be very grateful to be able to meet and chat with a big figure like the famous Oliver family member. After Isaac left, Anastasia's cell phone made another sound. It was the annoying laughter of an old man. “He's quite an interesting guy.” “He's just a clumsy person.” Anastasia couldn't help but roll her eyes. “Seeing your poor patience, you treated him well. Why don't you try to get to know him better? He seems like a nice guy.” Anastasia did not answer, she shifted her gaze to glance at the back of the man who was now sitting in the corner of the room, meeting another woman in a white dress.
