"Where are you going?" Abby asks him, hand on her waist, as he prepares to leave for Edward's invitation.
"Why are you even here?" Seth laughs as Abby questions his whereabouts.
"Should I not be here?" Her face is now flushed with rage and irritation.
"Yes, because I have a date, remember?"
"A date?"
"With Edward?"
"You call this a date?" Abby growls, her eyes sizzling fire.
"Yeah-
"I will accompany you."
"This isn't a group date, Abz. "You can't come," Seth said as he dashed outside to his car.
Abby sprints ahead of him, blocking the way with her two hands raised sideways in front of him, preventing him from entering the car.
"Oops, you're not allowed to go."
"You're not my mother, Abz. Please allow me to pass." Abby is now in front of the car door.
"But I am your best friend. And I say you can't go with him." Abby maintains a steady position in front of the door.
"Oh, Abigael! Please don't be a moron."
"I said NO."
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Okay, there are several reasons for this. If I'm to tell you, let's go inside and talk about it."
"I don't have much time for this, Abz. I'm serious. Get away from the door."
"No," Abby simply stated.
Seth looks him down with a warning look in his eyes. She matches his stare. But in a few seconds, she can't stand the heat that suddenly erupts inside her senses, starting from her heart and working its way up to her face. Her face flushed. Obviously. Seth is able to push her away from the door as a result of that move.
Abby wonders if Seth is aware of her blushing. God! With just a look, she was blushing. This is excessive. Seth is now in his car, ready to drive away. She raps on the window, but Seth is driving away slowly.
She's left with a lot of jealousy in her heart. She couldn't bear the thought of Seth ever being in a romantic relationship again. She takes out her phone and texts a message to Seth. 'Do not arrive home late.'
She marches back to her house on her feet. She's taken aback by how Seth and Edward intend to spend their night. She can't help but cry as she imagines them having intimate moments.
She sits on the sofa. Her mind gets blank. When the images of Seth and Edward flash from her insight, she hides her face behind her hands. She is unable to stop crying. She is envious. She wishes she could scream.
"Are you all right?" Marissa takes a seat next to her on the sofa. "Is there something wrong?"
"No, Mom."
"You're sobbing. Why?"
"It's nothing, Mom. I'm reminded of a depressing film."
"You're not going to fool me, Abby." Marissa turns to face her daughter. It's the first time she's seen her so upset and crying.
"I'm so confused right now, Mom." Abby considers telling her mother about her dream. So she'll understand what happened and why it affected her so much, and her mother will probably be able to advise her on what to do. She goes insane if she has to deal with this torment alone.
"Tell me what you want, I'm all ears."
"Okay, promise me you're not going to laugh -
"Okay,-
Before speaking, Abby lets out a deep sigh. Marissa looks at him with a suspicious but amused expression. As a mother, she is aware of what is going on with her own daughter.
"I'm prepared," Marissa stated.
"Okay, this happened last week—" she pauses, unsure how or where to begin.
"And then what?"
" I had a dream. You know, a strange dream-" She pauses once more. "Yeah, that's all, I had a strange dream," she says. Abby considers now not telling her mother because she is starting to get embarrassed.
"Abby, I'm not going to sleep unless you tell me."
"It's so embarrassing, Mom, believe me." Marissa stops Abby from standing up and drags her back to her seat.
"Now, go ahead. There will be no sleep," Marissa said. Abby sighs once more.
She started. "All right, I had a dream-
"Oh my God, let's get right to it, what's your dream?"Marissa is now impatient to hear what she has to say.
"All right, Mom, take a deep breath." Abby gasped.
Marissa sighs and rolls her eyes.
"I dream about having....h-having s-s*x, with..S-seth," Abby closes her eyes after revealing her fantasies because she can't bear the thought of her mother's reaction.
Marissa's eyes widen with surprise and delight. She is tempted to scream.
"Wait a minute...Oh my God!" "Did I hear you correctly?" Marissa lets out a small scream and shakes Abby.
"Mom, please stop!!!" Abby's face has turned bright red.
"Was he any good?" Marissa can't help but ask.
"Oh my goodness, Mom. I'm at a loss for words."
"I mean, did you see his, you know, down there?"
Marissa screamed as Abby slowly nodded her head.
"Mom, stop yelling!"
"God, I just can't help myself, darling. You know, If Seth won't talk at all, anyone can mistake him as a man, He's hot."
"Right, mom."
"Did you make it to the climax?"
"What's the climax, Mom?" Abby is now in the mood to laugh. What was the climax, her mother was referring to?
"OK, I won't ask any more questions," she said. Marissa forgets that Abby is still oblivious to the situation. After all, it was all a dream, right?
Abby is now even more embarrassed.
"So tell me, what was wrong with you that you were crying and upset?" Marissa shifts the conversation's focus.
"Mom, Seth is dating Edward now."
"Are you jealous?"
"I'm not sure. I honestly don't know." After saying those, Abby covers her face.
"Oh my goodness! Did you like Seth after you had that dream?"
Abby remained silent.
"It's perfectly normal, darling. Perhaps you simply like the concept of that dream. If you are perplexed, try to divert your attention. Perhaps you could try dating to distract yourself from your dream."
Abby turns to face her mother. Her mother is correct. Perhaps she should try to entertain some boys in order to divert her attention away from that strange dream.
