Chapter 24:
The week had gone by quite calmly. After telling Zolton about the dinner meeting with my parents, he seemed agitated and nervous all week, furthermore, he wouldn't stop asking me about what my parents approved of and what they didn't.
We stood in front of my locker as I pulled out the last few books for the day, grabbing the homework I needed to complete over the weekend. Zolton leaned against the locker beside me, list in thought.
I looked at him slightly before continuing my task at hand.
"Tori," he called out grabbing my attention as I hummed yelling him to proceed. "What exactly are your parents looking for?" he started again making me groan in frustration, "like, I know you said that I should just be me, but what if 'me' isn't enough?" he started again.
