“wow, this place is amazing” Stacy said amazed by the décor to Caleb’s place. Since Caleb gave her her freedom, Skylar has been spending all her time with Stacy and Lewis, and today she invited her here, she thought it would be a good idea for her friend to know where she leaves and for Caleb to meet them, maybe this way he will stop questioning her about her every movement. “yeah Sky, if I was taken and kept here, I would never leave, I would enjoy my life until the day I die peacefully” Lewis said, already making himself comfortable on the couch. “yeah right, says the one who can’t spend an entire day indoors” Skylar rolled her eyes at Lewis and Stacy laughed. “ha. ha. ha. Now be like a good little maid and get me something to drink” Lewis ordered with a smirk and a wink and Skylar just glared at him. She was about to tell him she is not his maid when, “you sure are brave to order her like that” Archer’s amused voice came behind her. “Archer, you are here, I thought you said you are going out today” Skylar said surprised. She had told him and Carla that she was bringing her friend over and wanted then to meet, but each came up with their own excuse not to show up, so she was surprised to see him here. If only she knew that it was Caleb who told them not to show up, how mad would she be? He just wanted to meet her friend before everyone else did and leave a good impression, and it was for this reason, Archer decided to show up anyway, he just loves to infuriate his brother. “this is Archer, Caleb’s baby brother, and this are Lewis and Stacy, my best friends,” she introduced everyone, and enjoyed the fury that rose on Archer when she called him a baby. “now get the guy his drink” Archer looked mad at Skylar and everyone laughed and she ran into the kitchen.

“let’s take them down Stacy” Skylar said to Stacy, she was her partner, they were playing laser tag, Archer showed them his room when they wanted to play a game, to say Skylar was surprised would be an understatement. It was then that she realised that in this three years, she had been too focused on getting out that she never really explored this place. To think that there where so many rooms in this house made just for her, to which the door she never even opened. “we won’t lose to girls Skylar, surrender now and keep your pride” Archer mocked them and laughed. “we are not going to lose” Stacy mocked back. “then what do you think of placing a bet on it?” Lewis asked. “the loser gets to be slaves for the winner all day long. What do you think?” Lewis asked shooting at them. “deal, make sure not to regret it” Skylar said with a smile. Half an hour later, the guys won smoothly and laughed while the girls stood there annoyed. “I told you sister-in –law, you should have saved your pride, now look what you have got yourself into” Archer laughed at Skylar. “oh, lil sis, no need to be so mad, losing is natural to the short and tiny” Lewis ruffled their hair with a smile, “now be good little girls and prepare lunch” he ordered them and smirked, the girls pouted. “you’re a pig Lewis, wherever you go, you always eat” Skylar yelled at him. “don’t look so mad, you know you love this pig” Lewis said with a smirk. “oh I love you, I love you so much that I want to rearrange your face “She growled making a fist. “oh, you two sure have guts” someone growled by the door, disturbing the laughing couple.

They looked to find a very angry looking Caleb standing there, just one look and one can tell he was pissed. Caleb had been nervous about meeting Skylar’s friends to the point that he called Malcom back early just to ask him how he should behave and what to get, he spend all day preparing to make a good impression, but when he got here, he finds Skylar flirting with some guy, he presumed must be Lewis, for that’s the only guy she said was visiting today, now he regretted agreeing to it. She said he was like a brother, but it was clear that was not the case, and everyone laughed while they went around telling each other how much in love they are, she never even said she loves him, not even that she likes him, but she is throwing I away casually too him. “oh, you are back. When did you get here” Skylar stuttered but smiled. She walked up to him and gave him a quick kiss before introducing everyone. From the moment she saw him, her body shook subconsciously, and she shrank back, she even walked stiffly to him, her every movement seemed forced. To her, she was natural but to everyone else, they could tell that she was scared, or maybe it was just her natural reaction to the man standing before them.

Seeing this, Lewis frowned and instantly hated Caleb, Stacy stood there dumfounded, and Archer just looked in pity. While Caleb thought it was guilt. “just now, when you were telling your toy boy how much you love him” Caleb answered her question, looking even angrier than before. “it’s not what you think, Lewis is my friend and brother, we just lost a game and….” Skylar stuttered, trying to explain, but Caleb just roughly detached himself from her, pushing her hard, which caused her to land on the floor. He looked at her shaking on the ground and at the verge of tears, but suddenly felt guilty, but it disappeared as fast as it came. “what the hell are you doing, you can’t treat her like that, what are you, an animal?” Lewis growled and walked towards Skylar, but was stopped by Caleb’s men, that appeared out of nowhere. “it’s shameless to care for another man’s woman, and worse, flirting with her so openly, and don’t tell me that she is like a sister to you, the only sister you have is standing right next to you, don’t give yourself extra responsibilities” Caleb said sarcastically, shocking everyone.

“bro, it’s not what you think, don’t get it wrong, they…” Archer tried to talk to him and explain, but then Caleb glared at him, making him shut up instantly, it was a look he knew too well, whenever he got that look, his body would take a couple of weeks to heal. “Caleb, it’s not what you think, do you think I would cheat on you right inside your house, with your brother present” Skylar growled in annoyance as she stood up from the ground., “you knew it was foolish but you did it anyway, you can fool them but not me” Caleb growled back. “she would truly be better off if she cheated on me, than to be trapped with you. No wonder you are so insecure, you are keeping a woman against her will, not only is she not happy, lacking freedom, terrified, but you know the moment you let her go she will run because she is not in love with you. Leave her to someone she loves” Lewis growled. Skylar was his sister, and she will protect her, no one should treat her this way. “stop Lewis, don’t forget we are on his territory, we at least need to show this lowlife scum a bit of respect” Stacy said so sweetly it was revolting. Archer watched them amazed at their bravery, or at most foolishness, but he understood why Skylar was friends with them, they seem to share a lot of foolish qualities, while Caleb could not tolerate their disrespect. It seems he was the only one that prepared to leave a good impression.

“teach them a lesson” he ordered his men and they nodded before grabbing the siblings. “let them go Caleb, it’s not what you think” Skylar cried holding on to Caleb, desperate for him to let her friends go. “then tell me Skylar, do you love me” Caleb roughly grabbed her shoulders. “yes. Yes, I do. Now let them go” Skylar answered without thinking, looking at her friends that were getting beaten up. “then say it Skylar, say that you love me, I will know when you lie, you know I will” Caleb mocked her, he knew she had answered him without thinking, just too concentrated on her friends to think about him. Skylar looked at the man before her, and for the first time, she felt anger she never felt before, she finally realised that she had no way out, she could lie to him, if she did, he was capable of killing her friends, all because he was unreasonable. “I told you to win my heart, is this how you do it? You can never win me over, I will always hate you” She growled and pushed him off her, then walked towards her friends. “let them go” she growled at the men hitting her friends, but they did not stop, she knew it was because they only followed orders from Caleb. She looked at him, but he just glared at her and did not stop his men.

She sighed, “I really didn’t want to do this” she said and everyone looked at her, she kicked the first man, throwing him across the room, hitting the wall and coughing a mouthful of blood. Caleb’s men stared at her confused, but began to attack her one after the other, but neither had a pretty end, the only one to survive was the one thrown across the room. Lewis and Stacy stared at her as she fought the men off, looking scared but not surprised. “we need to get her out of her, it’s only a matter of time before they find her” Lewis Whispered. “no need to tell me, but first, you need to sustain her, she won’t stop fighting until she collapses, or there is no one left to fight” Stacy whispered back and the two made a plan to take her. Though they whispered, Caleb still heard them, at first he was surprised about what was happening, but now, he was scared, scared that they could really take her away, they seemed to know more than he did about her. He was too immersed in his thinking that he missed what was happening around him, until he had Archer scream when he was also kicked a meter away. Seeing that things where out of control and his men hid to avoid fighting her, he went to calm her down, he knew it was partly his fault she became this way, or maybe he just believed so. When he got to her, not only was he punched and kicked, but he also took it all, he didn’t even flinch or show a sign of pain.

“I hate you Caleb, I really do” Skylar said repetitively with each strike. Looking at her, Caleb could feel his heart break, so he just hugged her and ignored her struggles. “calm down, I hate to see my little wife fighting so hard” Caleb said holding her tighter, and in an instant she stopped fighting him and hugged him back. “big brother” that was the last thing she said before losing consciousness. Lewis and Stacy watched and where surprised when she hugged Caleb back, they Knew she would never stop fighting once she started, but whatever it was about Caleb, it must be that she felt safe, or the man was special to make her stop so easily, but whatever it was, there was still time to find out, now they just had to get out of there. Lewis grabbed Skylar out of Caleb’s arms. “what are you doing? Where are you taking her?” Caleb, growled, panicked. “away from here” Lewis answered plainly walking to the door, but they were stopped by a group of Caleb’s men. “tell them to stay out of the way” Lewis yelled but they just stood there. “I really am not a fighter” Lewis sighed when he realised, Caleb would not let them leave. He looked at Stacy, who smiled in return, and in a blink of an eyes, his men where lying unconscious across the hall.

He knew that they were not simple people from the moment he saw Skylar fight, but seeing that his top men were defeated by a girl without breaking a sweat, he began to wonder who exactly they who they were. “can you at least explain to me what happened to her?” Caleb asked, not at all worried about his men, but about the women being taken from him. Lewis smiled, “not a question to ask a boy-toy, but if you can find me in two days, I will tell you”. Caleb looked at him annoyed. “where?” he asked. “your country, your territory, you are the boss, it should not be hard to find me” Lewis smiled and walked to the door, but stopped before he walked out. “your men are good, but planting tracking devices on people, that’s just low” HE smirked then threw them at Caleb and ran out the door, and this time no one stopped them. At first Caleb was not worried about finding them, he had sked his men to plant this on them when he heard that they planned to take Skylar away, as a precaution, in case they succeeded, but he was found out. At that moment he knew two things, first that he was against powerful people, and second, that if he wanted Skylar back, he had two days to do it, worst of all, against a powerful group, and with no leads to work with. Archer stood there and watched the whole thing, but no matter how many times the scene played inside his head, he found everything shocking and confusing, but knew his brother was in for it this time
