Jungkook is the ruthless and feared leader of a powerful mafia syndicate. With a cold and calculating nature, he rules with an iron fist, and anyone who crosses him pays the price. His world is one of danger, crime, and betrayal. But his life is about to change when he meets Y/N, a simple, innocent woman with no ties to the criminal underworld. Y/N has lived a quiet life, far from the violence and corruption of the city, working as a barista in a small, cozy café.

CHAPTER1: ENCOUNTER
The café was nearly empty, save for the soft hum of the espresso machine and the quiet tapping of the rain against the windows. The dim light from a few overhead bulbs gave the room a warm, inviting glow. It was late, past the hour when most people would be out on the streets, yet there he was — Jungkook. His tall figure stepped inside, the heavy door creaking slightly as it swung open. He wore a dark leather jacket, a slight shadow cast over his face, making him seem even more mysterious. There was something unsettling yet magnetic about him, and Y/N couldn’t help but feel a strange tug in her chest as she glanced up from her work. She quickly forced her eyes back down, trying not to stare. It wasn’t unusual for strangers to walk into the café late at night, but something about Jungkook felt different. His presence seemed to fill the space, even though he hadn’t said a word. He walked slowly to the counter, his boots tapping softly against the floor. His gaze swept over her, lingering for a moment longer than necessary, and then, as if he hadn’t noticed her unease, he ordered. "Coffee," he said, his voice deep, but calm, like a man used to giving commands. Y/N blinked, a little thrown off by his intensity. She quickly wiped her hands on her apron and nodded, a polite smile forced onto her lips. "Coming right up." As she moved to prepare the coffee, she couldn’t help but steal glances at him. He wasn’t the type of man to make small talk. His eyes, dark and brooding, seemed to carry the weight of a thousand unspoken stories. There was an edge to him that made Y/N’s heart race slightly, but she couldn’t put her finger on it. Danger, maybe? Power? It was almost as if he existed in a different world, one that didn’t quite belong in the quiet corners of her life. She set the cup down in front of him, her fingers brushing against his ever so briefly. His skin was warm, almost unnaturally so, and the contact left her with a strange jolt of electricity. She quickly pulled her hand back, her heart fluttering. "Thank you," he said, his voice low, but there was an undertone of something else. Something… possessive. Y/N wasn’t sure, but she didn’t think too much of it at first. "You’re welcome," she replied, her voice just above a whisper. Jungkook didn’t move immediately. Instead, he continued to watch her, his gaze unwavering, like he was studying her every movement. It felt like the air in the room had thickened, and she could no longer focus on the mundane task of making coffee. The quiet was deafening, and the weight of his stare was too much to ignore. "Do you work here often?" he asked suddenly, his tone casual, but there was an underlying edge to it. Y/N wasn’t used to people asking personal questions, especially not customers who came in and out. Her eyes flickered nervously, but she maintained her composure. "Yes, I do," she answered, trying to sound confident. "I’m here most nights. It’s a quiet place." Jungkook’s lips curled into a small, almost imperceptible smile. It was a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes, but somehow, it made her feel like he knew something she didn’t. "I’ll be back," he said cryptically, finishing his coffee in a single, smooth motion. "Same time tomorrow." Before Y/N could respond, he turned and walked out, the door swinging shut with a soft chime. The sound of his footsteps disappeared into the night, and the café felt emptier than it had before. Her heart was still pounding as she wiped the counter, trying to calm herself. There was something about him. Something dangerous, she thought.
