Test day

Derek takes me back to my room, I'm still processing but he just makes it that bit easier with him around me. I feel a sense of calm something I have never really felt. We get to my room door, and I look to him, I don't know what made me ask but I asked anyway, "stay with me tonight?" its like I commanded instead of asked but it just came out. I looked to the floor while I waited for his response. But he lifts my head up with his hands to my cheek, While he proceeds to tell me "don't look to the ground, when you ask. I will stay with you until the morning. But I don't sleep." he says it in such a soft tone that makes butterflies happen in my stomach. He just makes me feel like no other.

She has had so much to take in, in such a short period of time, yet she stays strong I admire that about her. I don't know why I care so much but I do. When we had dinner earlier I lied I said if she was human I  would let her go, but I wouldn't, I couldn't. No matter what she has this hold over me I can't explain. I am centuries old and I haven't felt this way not since I've been a vampire. No human could ever make me feel this way I hardly know the girl yet I would do anything to protect her. But tomorrow Clark my old friend is coming to take some tests that will confirm what she is. He is intrigued just as much as every one else.

She asked me to stay with her tonight, and of course I would. But she looks to the ground most of the time like she is hiding away. She might have fight in her but her confidence needs notching up a peg or too. I take her face into my hands she shivers at my touch that sends chills down my body Its like are bodies are connected, She is special, she is mine.

I make her look to me she need to understand that she can look to me anytime she needs.

She feels alone I understand that are world can be quite lonely at times. We proceed to walk into the room, I take her hand and lead her to the bed but she responds. "I'll just go get changed." As she lets go of my hand and walk to the closet. I lay there on the bed waiting for her to return but she is taking a long time, I wonder what is keeping her? But as soon as she enters the room I understand she is dressed in a silk black nightie that dangles down to her hip, her boobs look amazing while she tries to cover them with her arms. "I'm sorry there was not much to pick from in the closet that wasn't to sexual." She says with her cheeks blushing.

"Hey don't have to say sorry to me, you look yummy." I say in a flirty tone. She lets out a slight laugh before proceeding to walk slowly towards the bed, you can tell she is nervous. She put on a front which is not hard to tell. I've been around long enough to read people emotions and actions and I'm starting to be able to read her. We have many powers some unique to us some we all shear. But the myth around all vampires can read minds in not something we possess. Except my father.

"Get into bed darling" while I pat the bed she giggles again before telling me to scoot over. He laugh is contagious as I let out a smile before doing as I'm told which I never do.

She gets in the bed and turns away from me, that's until I pull her towards me. I cuddle her from behind and she lets out a sigh. She drifts off to sleep she looks so peaceful.

Morning arrives, after a night with Ellie I could stay with her longer but I have a lot to do before Clark arrives, today is the day we find out what she is.

I leave the room ready to go back to my office when I see Riccardo is already standing and waiting for me. 

"Hey boss" he says in a playful tone. "Had a long night" while he gives me a wink.

"A*** hole." I reply as he just stand there with a huge grin on his face. Riccardo has been my best man through out these years, one of the most loyal men I have. We were best friends before we got turned. He puts up with all my crap and I with him. He calls me boss because when I became leader of the elite, he mocked it and it stuck. So boss I am.

"Are we ready for today boss." he says while I open the door to my office. "Yes we have somethings to set up downstairs, make sure the room is ready for Clark." I say to Riccardo as he gives a nod in agreement.

The tests are painful, but I will be with her through out.

I have a lot of work on with the deal between me the elite and The masters. The masters are a Large group of vampires young and old but they have something I need. Yes I could raid them and they know that but a deal was put in place for the peace.

As I run my hands though my hair I hear the door go, good hearing is one power we do have. I let out a sigh before I say "Its go time"

I head to the stair way when I see Clark standing there flirting with Jodie. As I walk down the stairs Clark notices me and lets out a slight cough "Is the room ready Derek?" pulling away from the conversation he has going on with Jodie. "Yes Riccardo is there now if you want to go see him, I will bring Ellie soon." I instructed before I left to go back upstairs.

I walk back to Ellies room, where I can hear the shower going. She must be up, let it begin.
