23 Despite his late night, Harkell rose before his batman who was now suffering from his overindulgence the night before. Harkell may not have punished him when he came in drunk but he cut Nyrus no slack as he sat on the edge of his bed, holding his head and groaning. Suffering from lack of sleep himself, Harkell had no compunction in ordering his batman to set out his clothes and tidy up their quarters before going to breakfast.
