He had not wanted to be at the lodge due to his history with Callie. Mitch was still shocked at how everyone had treated him, even those who knew what he had done. It would not have mattered the weather or road conditions; he would have been escorted off the property. Instead, she had allowed him to roam freely and to help as he could.
