Mark had not stopped smiling since he left Callie’s room. He hurried next door to get dressed before messaging the kitchen and picking up her clean clothing at the front desk. Mark placed them on the shelf inside the bathroom door before leaving a note for her on the bed saying he was in his office waiting for her. Mark looked at the bathroom door one last time before he slipped out of the room and went to his office.
When he went inside, he found the cameras and other equipment they had used the day before lying on the conference table in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows. They allowed him to see where the kids and beginners were given instructions and much of the main slope and lifts. He left his door open as he went to work.
