“Where is Tara?” Claire asked as she stormed into the lodge kitchen, looking around the room for her assistant.
“She wasn’t feeling well and was sent home,” Rex replied from the corner where he was finishing paperwork.
“I don’t care if she’s sick. If she is not contagious, she needs to be here,” Claire hissed.
Rex sighed, “Claire, someone can be pretty sick without being contagious. You should know that since you recently called out sick with a migraine.”
Claire squinted at Rex and asked, “Since Tara is sick, who is going to help me today? The lodge is full, and we even have some of the locals coming in to eat. There is too much for me to do alone.”
