Callie was nervous about Cole calling Mark and Jimmy to his office to speak with Mitch. She was trying to hide it from Maya, but she was not sure if it was working. Maya always seemed to know far more than what anyone gave her credit for.
“Do you want to see if we can find one of your movies?” Callie asked her daughter.
"Yes, please," Maya nodded as she sat beside her mother on the bed.
Callie smiled and said, “OK. Get comfortable. Prop yourself up against the pillows, and I'll see what I can find. As soon as I find it, I will make my plate. Do you want to share with me, or are you still full?”
“I’m full,” Maya said as she leaned back against the pillows. “But I still have room for another cookie.”
“You always have room for cookies, just like it should be,” Callie giggled.
