DISSONANCE: a Beast-Blood Tale

When she was young, Stefania had always dreamed of the day she turned twenty. She imagined herself magically transforming into a large wolf the second the clock struck twelve, like Cinderella shedding the skin of a princess and leaping into her barefooted destiny. She would join her wolf-kin amongst the rippling pines and together they would bid the moon farewell with a chorus of howls.

If only her twentieth year had that outcome.

Instead, she was blessed with a wolf that wanted nothing but to leave behind the sanctuary of her family and all she had ever known to seek out some great unknown.

In the wilds of Estonia, a community of beast-blooded werewolves live in relative harmony under the leadership of their Alpha, Adolfo Lupin. Stefania, of the Zacek Beta line, is approaching her twentieth and with it, her maturity as a beast-blooded wolf. As daughter to the Beta, she would one day stand as Alpha Female beside her childhood friend, Cirino Lupin, who burned with such passion and happiness.

Her wolf has never been content with the idyllic existence of pack life, and with darkness approaching from the West, Stefania feels as though her soul is tearing in two: should she stay in the safety of the pack, or risk leaving behind everything she has ever known to call to what her wild soul desires?
