Ruby's POV
The next morning at work, I could barely focus on the screen. My bag wasn't even properly on the floor before my phone buzzed for the fifth time. I didn't need to check who it was.
It was Sandra. She had been relentless since last night. When I heard another vibration, I finally picked up the phone. My thumb hovered over the screen as notifications kept piling in.
Sandra: Did you say yes?
Sandra: Don't tell me you're still thinking about it.
Sandra:Ruby, this is your chance, TAKE IT
Sandra: Why aren't you replying?
I sighed, dropping the phone for the screen to be covered on the desk. But I couldn't ignore Sandra forever. She'd probably show up at my office door with a megaphone if I didn't reply.
