Chapter 6JoJo Saturday night wasn’t terrible. Sunday morning was fine. The guy I went home with said he was going to church, but I was welcome to scavenge breakfast with him before he had to get in the shower. Bagels and cream cheese with good smoked salmon, a better than average cup of coffee, a hug and kiss at the door. I was always careful not to outstay my welcome. From there I went to the gym, to my mailbox, and finally to the Beverly Hills public library. Spent most of the day in quiet, air-conditioned comfort. Doing some reading, checking the trades, returning messages, curating social media. I’d had much worse days.
