Chapter 26Cole By the time my job ended, Byron was well into the fall term at UCLA and JoJo was solidly established on Ten-31. The new roof was on at Byron’s house, but all three of us continued to live in mine, because the freshly framed upstairs bedrooms were still open to the air, and the downstairs bathroom and kitchen were torn apart.
