Still wanted more. I sure hoped Cole could frame his next statement in a way that gave me some constructive ideas.
He said, after a long and uncomfortable pause, “I’m feeling really old right now because, well, I am pretty f*****g old, and I’m afraid I’m too old for a certain scenario even though the other people involved keep giving me encouraging vibes. But also, I’m feeling really excited right now, because I was afraid I was having crazy ideas and now it seems like maybe I’m not so crazy.”
