Lyla's POV Something had shifted between us while I was in the therapist's office. I knew it was something that I needed to do, but it was something that I didn't want to do. I wasn't ready and that was evident when our appointment started. She asked why I was there, and I told her that I was being forced to be here. Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say because she started asking if I was safe at home and if I was being abused and that just triggered everything and I just word vomited my life on her and then started sobbing uncontrollably. By the time I had calmed down enough that she could talk to me and I could hear her, the session was basically over, but she told me that everything I'm feeling and the way I'm reacting to things is perfectly normal and that she wanted to see me
