Maxten's POV I hated that I was ignoring them. When Kenzley came and knocked on my door, it broke my heart to ignore her. Also, the food smelled great. I'm not sure what she all cooked, but I wasn't going to go out there and eat like a family with them. I had crossed that line so fast, and I never thought how it would affect her, so this was going to be the best for both of us even though it was killing me inside. I wanted to share the excitement with her about her first day of school and I wanted to talk to my peaches about her therapy and make sure that she was OK from that, and ask her what she thought about planning that party, but I couldn't because it would just suck me right back in, and so I stayed locked in my office ignoring them and trying to work, but I was getting nothing do
