The first thing Carter wanted to do when his trusted man gave him that information was to run out and ask Kelsea all his questions, but he didn't know where she was. So all he had left was to wait for her to agree to see him.
"Thank you, Mario," he said to the bodyguard as he poured himself a drink of whisky.
However, just as Mario left the office, Albert entered with a smile on his face.
"What's going on?" Carter asked nonchalantly.
"Your wife is here; she has called a meeting with the partners of the company."
Carter's face turned pale, and at the same time, his heart began to race. That was the effect she had on him—the effect she had always had on him.
