Episode 5 Surpass her

IRIS'

I was asked to stay behind the infirmary until the meeting of Alphas is finished.

I was busy taking my coffee when Alpha Aria mind linked me to guide Luna Yuki here.

"Ugh! Such a nuisance, I am having a good time with my coffee."

"Go now child, you don't want the Alpha to be mad."

"Yes, Father," I said. The packhouse doctor is our father.

If I am not doing patrol or training the young warriors I always stay here in the infirmary helping him. I love it here and want to continue being the doctor for the packhouse. I might use it luring Aria out.

I was on my way to her office when I smelled an intoxicating smell. Then both Akashi and Yui get out of the room.

'Mate!' my wolf says.

'Yeah! I know! She is there.'

I feel restless knowing that I found her. My mate. I was so sure that Aria is the one. But no. Akashi Tanaka came. 

"Luna Yuki, you can see her if you want, Iris here could lead you to the infirmary. I assigned some guard there for her safety so you need someone you know to enter the place." I hear the Alpha said. The Luna said something before we left but it's like Akashi is the only one I see.

When we got out of the office and leading them to the infirmary Akashi walked to my side.

"Hi."

"Hi," I said expressionlessly.

"I see that you know our bond."

"Yeah. But I am not sure if I'll accept you? Knowing you and your sister are a playboy. Only Freya seems to be the good one."

"That's all in the past. It's all about us now." She said making me stop on my track.

"Look. Not because your mother, The Luna is here doesn't mean I won't be rude and straightforward. But hear this. I won't accept you until you are worthy to be my mate. Not until you can surpass Aria."

"Woah! Woah! Do you want me to challenge your Alpha? You know the risk about it, right?"

"I am not asking you to challenge her, I am giving you a challenge on hand to surpass her, not as an Alpha but as a werewolf," I said and continue walking.

"She is just a girl who happened to lost her parents and became the Alpha. I don't see her as powerful as she claims to be." She said.

"Watch your words Banana boy!"

"Akashi that's enough!" the Luna said.

"But it is true!"

"No. Tell you what? She is undefeatable. No one even her father ever defeated her. I bet you can't even last a minute." I smirked.

"Chill guys!" Yui intervene "Akashi, stop being a d**k okay? What she said is true. You can't last a minute with her in the ring. Heck! You cant even touch even her hair!"

" Why are you guys so sure?"

"Just because."

"Akashi, whatever you are thinking don't even dare to do it. You will just put our family's name in a drain. She is no ordinary she-wolf. She may look weak but Aria is powerful." the Luna said and walk to the infirmary ahead of us.

"I will show you who is stronger between me and her."

"Banana girl it is not about who is stronger. It is all about how you care for others, how you protect your people, how to be a wise werewolf. She might run this pack with an iron fist but she makes sure that everyone sleeps without a problem because she thinks what is best for all of us. Unlike you? I only see a spoiled brat and a mommy' girl." I said and followed the Luna leaving him dumbfounded.

AKASHI'S

After hearing that from her I was left fuming in anger.

"You see bro, the girls here adore their little Alpha. I, myself saw how she manage everything once, saving a kid and solving a problem hostage-taking at the same time back in our hometown. I admire her too."

"What is so special with her?"

"Because she has this?" Yui said pointing his head, "She has a brain and uses it to where it should be used. Unlike you who go to fight head-on without thinking any strategy. I will bet my katana collection on this. She is currently on the move arresting the culprits on Freya's kidnapping."

"And I'll bet 5 billion in this," I told him after taking my leave.

"Don't say we didn't warn ya! Ready that sweet 5 billion okay?" he said following me.

I know she is strong but I won't let her trample my ego like that.

When we entered the room I saw my mother hugging Freya. She is already awake.

"So glad to see you, sis," I said.

I was hurt when Iris said that Aria can protect everyone by herself. I was hurt because it's true. Everything that Yui and Iris said is true.

"Good to see you too." She said.

I can't protect my family, I never think or care about others. I am a failure but I will show them that I am not. I will surpass Aria for Iris to accept me. I will make sure she will scream my name while I mark her.

"Bro, action speaks louder than words okay," Yui whispered.

I glared at her and went out. I let out a breath thinking of a way to surpass Aria.

"Now, how am I suppose to surpass her? Asking her on a challenge is a big risk. Mother will kill me if I did." I sighed.

I just decided to take a stroll out of the packhouse. Seeing everyone helping each other to build the houses for the others made me think that Red Crescent Moon is so different from ours.

I saw my father and Aria taking their leave. Where are they going?

"Leaving to catch Freya's kidnappers." a girl said. She has silver hair "Hi! I am Frake Lucido."

"Akashi Tanaka."

"Alpha said you guys will be staying until Freta recovers."

"Yeah. I want to take that time pursuing my mate because she is having second thoughts on accepting me."

"I can see why she said that."

I look at him confusingly.

"You see, Iris and the other girls have a crush on our Alpha but none of them will have the chance to take the place on her side. So decided that once they found their mates they will give each a challenge."

"And how about you?"

"I am already in love with a lovely girl, still waiting for her to mature tho. If you manage to surpass Aria. She is yours to take girl. Iris I mean."

"Help me."

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I don't like cheating." She said then leave.
