Chapter 2:
Everyone is still in the classroom, waiting for homeroom.
"By the way, I have good news." Sean said, winking.
"What is it?" Chloe asked.
"A certain person is coming back with her boyfriend." Sean said, grinning. They blinked.
"Who's coming?" Alexandra asked. Suddenly, Rhys gasped in shock. Sean looked at her.
"Since Rhys is good at guessing, let’s hear her first." Sean said, grinning. Rhys widely grinned.
"It's definitely Monica.” They all looked at Sean, waiting for confirmation.
"She's correct. Nica it is." Sean said, smiling. The girls squealed.
"How did you guess?" Kathrynne asked. Rhys winked.
"Well first, Sean is grinning like an i***t. Second, he sounds so happy when he told us. Lastly, Nica's the only one we know that has a boyfriend already." Rhys explained, smiling. Kyle chuckled.
"How smart, Rhys." He teased. Rhys pouted.
"Not witty enough?" She asked. The others rolled their eyes. Here they go again. They thought.
"Well, just smart enough to make me fall in love with your brain." Kyle said. Rhys hummed.
"Then make my brain your girlfriend already." She said.
"Tsk tsk, no way. If I make your brain mine, I'll see you every day and I don't quite like that." Kyle said.
"We have the same answer on that, love." She said. Kyle chuckled.
"You're a funny one, Rhys. That's why I love being your friend." He said, winking.
"Those words doesn’t make me blush, Kyle." Rhys reminded.
"That's why I'm using it against you." He said.
"You know if I hadn’t known you, I'll think that you're definitely flirting with me." She said.
"What if I am?" Kyle challenged.
"Then you're just wasting your time." Rhys said, smiling. Kyle chuckled, shaking his head.
This always happen, we're not surprised anymore. They thought, rolling their eyes.
"Class is starting." Rhys said as Luke, Zeene and Charles walked back to class.
“Hey.” They greeted as the students starts to get to their own desk. The door opened and revealed their teacher.
"Good morning, class. Today we have a new transfer student. Please come in." The teacher started, appeared is a tall girl in Chinese clothes. Her hair is done in a bun with a red ribbon on it.
"Hi. I'm Monica Austin. Nice to meet you!" Monica greeted. The students greeted back.
"Please seat beside Ms. Harington. Ms. Harington, kindly raise your hand." The teacher said. Rhys raised her hand and Monica walked her way towards her. She grinned at her as Rhys waved.
"Class, we are going to study about the human body." The teacher started to discuss.
Lunch:
"It is so great to have you back, Nica!" Rhys said. Monica laughed.
"Well, it's nice to be back, bitches." Monica said, winking. She hugged each one of them.
"Oh, I have something to tell you." Rhys said. Monica smiled.
"What is it?" Monica asked.
"Wait after school." Chloe said. Monica nodded.
"Anyway, where’s Tyler?" Rhys asked, looking around trying to look for the said guy. Monica rolled her eyes.
"Well, that stupid brother of yours got his flight cancelled." Monica said.
“What happened?” Samantha asked.
“He couldn’t find his flight ticket.”
“How irresponsible of him.” Rhys commented.
“It’s not totally his fault.” Monica defended. Rhys shrugged.
"Oh. That’s… sad, we won't get to see him today." Chloe commented.
"When will he go back here?" Alexandra asked.
"Tomorrow night." Monica said.
"Hoping to see him soon. Before I forgot, there is something I want to ask, Monica. Have you heard about the Eye of the Wolves?" Rhys asked.
"Yeah. I've heard many things about them back in England." Monica said.
"Oh. Is that so?" Alexandra asked. Monica nodded.
"Yeah. Actually, I know one thing about them." Monica said.
"What is it?" Kathrynne asked.
"They've been a quiet one. Not like the other gangs who kills people or something like that. Apparently, they do it to improve their selves." Monica said.
“That’s a strange one.” Rhys commented as they all agree.
"Then how about the Flower of the Angels? You've heard of them?" Chloe asked.
"Of course. They are like trending all over the world, something like they're f*****g gorgeous. How about you guys?" Monica asked.
"Oh, we know them. Like, literally know them." Rhysie said.
"You know, Rhee. We should talk to her now about our suggestion." Chloe suggested.
"Besides, we can't hide it from her. Now that she’ll be with us almost every day."
“What can’t you hide?” Monica asked, confused. Rhys sighed.
“Alright then.” Agreeing.
"So here’s the thing, Nica, we heard that they are currently recruiting for strong females." Samantha said.
"Really? Then how about we join?" Monica said, excitedly.
"We? No way." Alexandra said.
"Yeah. Maybe you and Sam. But not us, not freaking possible." Kathrynne added.
"How about you join them?" Chloe said, looking seriously at Monica.
"That's right, Nica! You are so good with your martial arts." Kathrynne said.
"I'll try but I don't have anyone that can come with me." Monica said.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you can make friends there." Rhys said
"Rhy, you’re not wearing your headphones?" Monica asked. Rhys blinked.
“What?”
“You’ve been so previously attached to it, listening to music everywhere.”
"I left it at home." She said. Monica blinked.
“That’s weird. You never go out without those.”
“I just forgot about it today.”
"You seem to change these past four months." Monica said.
"What are you saying? I mean, I don't think I changed." Rhys said.
"Well, Rhys totally matured those past four months." Samantha said. They agreed. Chloe started to notice the growing suspicions of Monica.
Changing the topic by clapping her hands, "Anyway, Nica, come with us after school, okay?"
"Where are we going?" Monica asked.
"Somewhere you'll enjoy." Kathrynne said, winking.
"Don't be late!" Alexandra said.
"Yeah sure. I mean, we're all in the same class so there's no way I'd be late." Monica stated. Rhys laughed.
"Right!"
