CHAPTER 25

The physique of an immortal grew so fast until the certain age that their body will reach the adult stage.

But, unlike the mortals, their body will stay in their youth age except when their power started to decline because of thousands of years of existence. Their soul will be fed up by the spiritual energy only available in their realms. While their life span is longer than the mortals.

The life is indeed unfair for the mortals who strived so hard to reach the immortality. But the only chances they have is one in a thousand. In short, one human in a thousand years will be born to have the fate of immortality.

But, it doesn't mean that they can live or reside in the two Immortal Realms. They will stay in the Mortal Realm to act as the guardian of his or her realm.

Currently, there are two immortals in the Mortal Realm. A 7,400 year old peacock immortal, and an 8,030 year old alpha wolf.

After the younger immortal ascended, the other humans with the fate of immortalities died young that they speculates that is the fault of the recent incidents in other areas. And the incident in Area 666 counted as one of the biggest disaster the other immortals experienced.

But rumors says that the catastrophe only started when a mortal stole the Heaven Realm's one and only Princess who carries the Fate of Phoenix.

The issue sunk as well as the millions of lives of mortal beings who enters the Area 666. But recently, the issue about the abduction of the Princess submerged with the name of the abductor— the mad scientist named Timothy Top.

"Top is so reckless. He let his crime be discovered so easily." Natatawang komento ni Evans habang binabasa ang balita na nakarating na sa lahat ng mga City Lord ng bawat area sa buong Mortal Realm.

"He really is reckless compared to my lord." Gatong ni Louie.

Nakangising tiningnan ni Evans si Louie. Louie is only 25 years old. He discovered him ten years ago and he trusted him with his security and some affairs that needs surveillance. He recognizes him as his descendant.

"You really do know how to flatter me, Louie." Pamumuri ni Evans kay Louie.

"I dare not, my lord. I am just stating the fact. Top is foolish to be found out. He gained more loses than success. He even fought back with the King's Saviour directly. While my lord is wise for doing his duty for humankind."

"If you insists." Walang nagawa si Evans sa mga sinabi ni Louie. Kahit ano naman ang gawin niya, hindi magbabago ang pagtingin sa kaniya ni Louie.

"By the way, do you have any updates about that fairy?" Interesado si Evans kay Harriet na halos maging sa panaginip ay nakikita niya ito.

Sa isip ni Evans, nagkakaganuto siya sa dayo dahil sa katandaan niya. He is already 7,400 years old, one of the remaining human immortal of the Mortal Realm.

"Well, our assumptions is right. She came from the Area 666. Her name is Harriet." Tumigil si Louie sa pagsasalita at saka nagpatuloy matapos ang ilang sandali. "There are two interesting things I discovered while chatting with her—"

"You chatted with her?" Hindi maiwasang magselos ni Evans lalo na ng marinig nito na nakipag-usap ang babae kay Louie.

'This brat is so damn lucky!'

"Well, yes. She is looking for a*****e where she can buy her food and necessities. We chatted for a while and I noticed her pointed ears like yours and Immortal Steven. She also said that she escaped from Area 666. But the reason behind it, she never told me." Kwento ni Louie.

"Pointed ears? An Immortal?" Gulat na gulat si Evans sa nalamang ito.

Kilala ang mga Immortal sa matutulis nilang mga tenga na isa sa mga bagay na magpapatunay na isa nga silang Immortal. Aside from him and Immortal Steven, there are two other races who have this trait— the Heaven Realm race and Underworld Realm race.

Sa tuwing ipapanganak ang mga Immortal sa Mortal Realm, ang mga nabubuhay pang Human Immortal ay nakakakita ng pangitain sa kalangitan o kaya naman ay sa kapaligiran. Mga bagay na hindi nakita ni Evans magpahanggang ngayon.

"I don't know, my lord. But she is indeed like a goddess. Her face is bright like sun. Her eyes are blue like sapphire. Her red hair is flowing freely like the waves of the ocean. Her skin is also like a jade in a glance. She is perfect. She is also kind and humble and have beautiful voice." Pagsasalarawan ni Louie.

Nakangiting mag-isa si Evans habang iniisip ang mga katangian na mayroon ang dalaga ayon sa pagsasalarawan ni Louie. Pakiramdam niya ay sulit ang paghihintay ng matagal na panahon para sa pagdating ng nararapat niyang maging kabiyak.

"What is her transformation may be?" Bulong niya sa sarili.

"I have no idea, my lord. Please forgive me."

"Where did she go? Where will she settle? Take me to her!" Halos hindi na humihinga sa pagkasabik si Evans. Gusto na niya makita at makilala ang babaeng iyon.

Walang nagawa si Louie kundi sundin si Evans kahit pa alam niya na mailap ang dalaga. Hindi na siya nagkaroon pa ng pagkakataon na sabihin sa kaniyang amo ang sinabi sa kaniya ni Harriet.

'Bahala na nga.' Sa isip niya habang tinutulungan sa pagbibihis si Evans.

"Ano sa tingin mo ang magandang iregalo sa kaniya? Welcome gift ika nga." Napapailing na lang si Louie sa inaakto ng kaniyang amo.

"Parang kailan lang, ayaw niyo pong makipagkita sa mga babae. Tinatanggihan ninyo ang pinapadala ni Immortal Steven. Pero ngayon..."

"Ano bang pakialam mo? It's time for this mansion to be lively! If you want to interfere with my love affairs, you better think twice." Pagbabanta ni Evans.

"Affirmative, my lord." Napabuntong-hininga na lamang ang binata sa pagiging isip-bata ni Evans.

At the same time.

Harriet finally found an open space beside the ocean where she can build her house.

Her eyes are shining with happiness. Her smile is the sweetest after the twenty-one years of staying in that hellish place. She let her long wavy hair fly all over by the fresh cold wind from the ocean.

She first built a tent under a tree. Then she began to draw on her paper the simple house she will build with her materials she bought earlier with the help of Louie.

"This should do. A simple bungalow will be fine with a single person like me." She raised her drawing up in the air while looking at it with pure happiness.

The air blew hard and the paper slipped from her delicate long fingers. The paper fly up in the air.

Harriet panicked and seems like her dreams slowly vanished while the paper fly so far. Her back ached yet she didn't stop running for the paper.

The next thing she knew, she is already up in the air.

Harriet's faced turned shock and like a bird with broken wings, she fall hard on the ground. She winced and tried to stand up when a couple of pair of foot landed in front of her.

She looked up and saw Louie with a man with purple hair and eyes. Her face brighten when she saw her drawing in the hands of the purple-haired man.

"Louie?" She called for the stern looking face Louie.

Harriet stood up and in her surprise the purple-haired man grabbed her to support. She barely stand up when she felt her shoulder blades getting heavy.

"Ah!" She winced.

"You are also a flying Immortal?" The purple-haired man asked.

"Flying? Immortal?" She asked innocently.

She looked at her back and stunned when she saw a pair of white wings stuck on her back.

"What the hell is this?!" She screamed.

While she is in this state, Evans is smiling while giggling. Louie shake his head in that scene.

While Harriet started to scream in panic, the scream from her is like a melody in Evans ears. She is blushing like tomato.

When he heard something's off in her voice, Evans rushed to her and hold her shoulders firmly to stop her movements. Harriet breath heavily until she can breath properly without difficulties.

"I'm sorry. I panicked." Harriet apologized while panting.

She thought that what she did earlier is embarrassing. She can't face the man in front of her due to humiliation.

She covered her face that is red as tomato. She is blushing so hard that Evans think it's too cute.

"I'm sorry but... Who are you? Are you Louie's friend?" Harriet asked.

"I am Evans. The Area 667 City Lord." Evans replied.

Harriet gasped and covered her mouth. She giggled and wink at Evans. Evans was stunned and started to blush as well.

"I am sorry for what happened earlier. If you are the City Lord and Louie's friend. Then... You are now my friend also." Harriet announced happily.

This is the first time she met a guy who is beautiful and willing to be her friend. In Area 666, she was looked down because of her pretention as ugly and nerd. But now, in Area 667, even the City Lord is friendly to a newbie.

Evans and Louie helped Harriet with the power of their commands toward the City Lord's guards. They built her house and accompanied her until dinner time.

Harriet cooked a meal and invited Evans, Louie and the guards who helped her to build her home. They shared stories yet Harriet just enjoyed listening to them. She was overjoyed with their company and wishes that the day will not end.

"Can you tell us something about yourself, Miss Fairy?" A guard asked curiously.

In Area 667, there is peace and also freedom of speech. No one opposed this law in here because this rule gave them freedom they cannot easily achieve in other areas in this realm. They favors Evans so much that until now, no one fights for the position he has.

"Yeah, tell us about yourself." Evans agreed.

Harriet looked around her and smiled sweetly. The air blew once again and the smoke from the bonfire flew to Louie's face. She can't help but to chuckle. But stopped when Louie's face wrinkled and glared at them.

"Well, okay. I tell you something about myself. And also... The area where I came from." She paused and looked at the starry sky up above.

Evans saw sadness in the eyes of his beloved girl. Her eyes is twinkling with tears that makes his heart feel pain. He can't bare to see her in sorrow.

"My hometown... The place where I was raised is like a hell for human beings. Technologies become the number one necessity. Lives of a human there will never last over fifty. And humankinds there is extremely extinct. There are lights everywhere that blinds us. There are roaring cars everywhere that a human will missed this kind of surroundings. There are buildings, and the tallest one is the house of a mad scientist who made human lives become his hobby to play with. He once announced that I am his daughter. But I know, I'm not.

"I am a writer. I became famous also. But my career fell after my transformations in front of the public. The ones humankinds pride was stained into a demi-human. One of the three races in Area 666. Humans, demi-humans and berserk beasts. I thought I am one of them, but I felt I am not from this realm. I once live with my Master in a temple. He is called a deity by the human people. But... Four years from now, he will die, for sure.

"If you can drop off there, you will surely dream of having nature be with you. A home where you can stay without worries. A place with no war. A place where you can find happiness. And because of a friend's help, I escaped from that hell. I am happy to have this kind of life now."

She saw her listener's eyes full of tears. They sniff here and there and she was moved when she saw how they appreciate her story. She finally decided that, the Area 667 will be her new home.
