Chapter 12

Alexa POV

" Who is it?" I asked when someone knocked on the door.

No answer but someone kept knocking. I open the door slightly to check who's on the door. And I was surprised, to find it was the scar man!

I tried to closed the door, but the scar man hold it with his hand and pushed the door hard. I fall and the door open wide. He came in and smile viciously to me.

I tried to wake up and run, but he grab my legs and pin me to the ground.

" hello little girl.... There you are!" he said" missed me? "

" No! No! Let me go!" I said kicking and punching him.

But he didn't let me go. I struggle tried to release his grip on me, but it was wasted. He ripped of my dress harshly. Scare of what he might do to me again.

" No! No!!!!!!!!" I scream

And I sit down in my bed in the motel room with sweat all over my body. It was just a dream. My breath panting and I cried.

Why I had that dream again? The dream that I tried to forget, and it was come back! The man came back, and he took Max from me!

The man is here, in Chicago looking for me.

I should go out town as soon as possible. But I had to go to Brian first to took the key that Max gave me.

I reach for my wallet and put out the picture of me and Max. Ya, I know where I should go. I'll be save there.

I get up and walked to the bathroom. I took another shower to freshen up. It was 2 pm already, I've been sleeping for 3 hours, and I feel very hungry.

I wear the dress that I bought today it was a two piece of tan bodycon top and skirt, white sneaker and a blonde short wig. It was totally different from my daily appearance, so I think no one would recognize me. I grab my stuff and put them in the backpack Agent Gray gave me.

My plan was to grab some food, go to Harry and Brian and then go to the station to take what ever max gave me.

I put on my hood and slung my backpack then I walked outside my motel room and find the nearest fast food to eat. I just need to eat and finished it fast without anyone recognize me.

I looked around to check if there were some people I knew or anyone suspicious. I need to becarefull after what just happen. Too many people to avoid, Frank's man, The scar man, and the FBI.

After make sure everything okay, I order my food and eat it like anyone else.

I phone call Harry, to asked him, where is he now and how is his condition. I remember Harry's number in my head. His phone number is my emergency called number. Max told me to.

" Harry?" I called him

" Alexa? Where are you? Are you okay? " he asked me. " I watch the news, Frank is arrested by the Fed"

" I'm fine Harry. Ya, the Fbi got him, but I managed to escape." I said

" Wait, are they catch you last night?" he asked me

" Yes, Harry. It's a long story, but Kate is save now." I explained.

" Thank goodness." he said.

" Where are you Harry? Are you still in the hospital?" I asked him

" I'm out this morning. What's your plan Alexa?" he asked me

" I'm going out town Harry." I said as I looked around paying attention to surrounding. Kids with their parents, few couples, a woman busy with her laptop, nothing suspicious.

" You know where to go? " he asked me

" Yes. " I said shortly. Both of us know where I will be going.

" Look Harry, I think you should hide for awhile, I'm afraid Frank's man will looking for you to get to me " I warn him.

" It's fine Alexa, I can take care of my self. Will you be okay by your self? " he asked me

" Ya Harry, I'll be alright. I'm sorry to put you in so much trouble. " I told him

" No, Alexa. You come to me when you have any problem okay? "

" Okay" I said

" Do you still have money?" he asked me

" Yes Harry, thank you. " I said. I still have some money Max gave me on my backpack and I put in the motel before I got arrested by Jack.

" okay, just tell me if you need anything. You know how to contact me."

" Ya, thank you. " I said," I have to go Harry. "

" Take care, Alexa. Be safe." he said.

" You too Harry. Bye now" I said as I hanged up the phone.

Now I have to met Brian for the key. I don't remember his phone number, so I think I just looking for him in the game centre.

So I took a bus to get to the game centre. The game centre is always crowded, especially at this hours. Teenager hang out with their friends. I asked the girl behind the counter about Brian. She asked for my name, and then she make a phone call.

" Just go inside" she said pointing to the door with sign 'Staff only'. I nodded and said thank you.

I went inside, walking to the next room passed some guys talking and some others busy with their laptop. I knocked on the door where Brian took me before. The door open and Brian standing in front of the door.

He looked around before he let me in.

" Come in Alexa." he said as he grab my arms.

" I saw the news, How do you escape?" he asked me as he sign me to take a seat.

" It's a long story Brian." I said.

" you can tel me," he said sitting in his chair.

" I won't be long Brian, I don't think it's safe for you if I stayed longer. " I said without took the seat.

He sighed.

" I know. That's mean I won't get my payment?" he asked raising his brow.

" Maybe next time?" I said.

" Yup, maybe next time when you don't have gangster and Fed chasing after you. " he said looking at me and smiling.

" I need my key back Brian." I said.

He took his wallet and pull out the key, stand up and walked toward me. He took my hand and put the key on my palm.

" What are you going to do now Alexa? " he asked me.

" Out town. I won't be safe here." I said.

" Is there anything I can do for you?" he asked me.

" I'll be fine Brian. Thank you." I said.

" Come on, I'll give you a ride." he said as he get his car key on the table.

" I dont think it's a good idea Brian, I don't want to put you in trouble." I said.

" You won't. Come on. You need to open the locker right? I'll drive you to the station." he said." It's safer if you go on a car than a bus."

He took my hand and walked me outside his room. And I followed him. He talked to his friend in other room, let them know that he will be out for awhile. And then he took me to his car and we drive to the station where Max gave me the locker's key.

" Thank you Brian" I said when we arrive in the station parking lot.

" Here's my number, don't lose it. Call me if you need any help" he said. I accept his card and nodded.

" Bye Brian." I said before I step out of his car and put on my hood. I really don't want him to get to a trouble because of me.

" Bye Alexa, take care." he said from his car.

I wave him good bye and turn around, walking inside the station. I looked around me, avoiding security camera, observing if anything suspicious and looking for the locker number max gave me.

I stop right in the locker. Looking around me for awhile, and after make sure no one following me or paying attention to me, I open the locker and found a small hand bag inside. I open it.

It was everything he has prepare for me. New passport and new ID. It has my picture with different name, he choose Evelyn Lane for me.

And then there were some cash and an Atm under Evelyn Lane name, and the last, a flash disk. I don't know what inside the flash disk.

I put them all in my backpack and then walking to the ticket counter. I already check the bus schedule for my next destination.

Max told me to go hide for awhile in our cabin in Aspen. It was far away from the city, and Noone will find me. So I decide to take 7 pm bus to st. Louis, and then take another bus to Vail, Colorado.

I still have 1 hour before my bus to St Louis departure. I bought any necessary things for my trip and wait at the restaurant in the station and took an early diner.

I get on the bus when its time for depart. I wait in line to get in my bus, and paid attention on the bus passengers. An old couple with their son, 2 young couple, few woman traveling alone like mine, some businessman and a family with kids. They looked usual, nothing to worry about. It took 6 hours drive to get to st. Louis, so I took the back seat, turning on my ipod and make my self comfortable.

I arrive at St. Louis at 2 am. It was dark and not so many people around. I walked to the nearest hotel and book a room for my self. My next bus schedule will be 5 in the afternoon. So I have a whole day in st. Louise. At least I got away from Chicago. I took a rest and sleep.
