Chapter 11

Alexa POV

My head was dizzy, and the light killing me. What happen to me?

" Wake up" I heard a voice and I open my eyes. A handsome face with blue eyes and brown hair looking at me. Am I die? Am I in heaven? Is that an angel? Angel with mint scent... Hmm that's nice.. I can feel my lips smiling.

I closed my eyes again and shooked my head, hoping the dizziness will vanished.

I open my eyes and the handsome face still there. And I started to remember the face. It was Agent Jack Hampton, the FBI. And I remember what happen before I pissed out.

The FBI caught me, I don't know how.

" Agent Dalton, can you get her some clothes she can wear?" I hear Jack said turning his head around. What? Am I naked? I looked down at my body. No, I'm not naked. I still wear my black bodysuit.

" Why?" a woman voice asked him

" Just get her some proper clothes, thats all" he said

" After that, please sit her in the investigation room. Thank you" He said. Before he left the room.

A women help me get change to a shirt and a pants. It probably hers. I was to weak to find a way out of this place or even to knocked her down.

I didnt know where I was. It was a room, I never been there. I probably in one of the FBI safe house.

Then she cuffed me again and took me to a room and then sat me in a chair. She went outside and come back with Jack and Agent Gray. Jack sat in front of me while Agent Gray seat next to him and Agent Dalton leave after put a glass of water in front of me, to let the 2 agent to investigate.

" I'm agent Hampton, I believe we have met ... And This is Agent Gray." he said introduce him and his partner. I know who they are.

" How do we have to called you, Maddie or Alexandra?" he asked me. Looking at me observing.

So he haven't know my real name. Yet.

" Alexa." I said.

" Alexa. Okay." he said.

" Drink this first, I think you need it" Jack told me. He was right. I was thirsty.

I took the glass and drink it empty.

" what time is it?" I asked him after feeling better.

" I believe we are the one who have to asked you question, not the other around. " he said, his lips make a little curve. Okay, now he mocking me.

I need to know what time is it and how long have I passed out.

" what time is it? " I asked him again, don't care with his words.

" 6" he said pinching his eyes on me.

" Morning?" I asked him again

" yes." he said.

I have to go to Frank House and safe Kate. If I didn't bring the ring, he will killed Kate.

" Did the news about me get caught spread already?" I asked them. They just looked at me without answer.

" Did the news spread?" I asked again with a pressured tone.

" Not yet. Why asked? " he asked me

" I have to go" I said

Agent Hampton and Agent Gray laugh. What so funny?

" Please, I have to go, or my friend will die." I said.

" Ms. Carter, you are my prisoner right now. You can't just walked out side. That's not how it is." he say still giving a small laugh.

" You don't understand." I said. He tried to looked serious but his lips still making a curve.

" I have to do the robbery in exchange of my friend's life. If I don't come with the ring, he will killed my friend. " I explained him. They both looked at each other.

" Wait, did you said that someone force you to steal the ring, and treat to killed your friend? " he asked me with a different words but the same meaning.

" Yes. " I said.

" And who told you to steal the ring and hostage your friend? " he asked me again as he took note.

" Frank Welch" I said.

" The Rat?" he asked me surprised.

" Yes, the mobster." I told him

" she could tell the truth, Max work for him in the past." Agent Gray told him.

" Looked, we don't have much time, I had to go deliver the ring, or he will killed her."

" Who is your friend name? " Agent Gray asked me.

" Katherine Watson." I said. Agent Gray stand up and walked a side. He made a phone called, I dont know where to.

" What time do you have to deliver the ring? " Jack asked me.

" 8 and I don't have much time. "I said.

" How do we know you didn't lie? " Jack asked me.

" look... Do you have my backpack? " I asked him

" Give me my backpack and I'll show you. " I said to him

" She is right, Katherine Watson reported missing 4 days ago." Agent Gray said to Jack.

Jack called Agent Dalton to took my stuff and bring it to the investigation room.

Not long Agent Dalton came with my stuff, they were already pack in plastic pack as an evidence. I saw my backpack, screwdriver, earpiece, my phone, and the ledger book I steal from Frank house.

" Take a look on the book" I said.

Agent Hampton took the book plastic, and wear a gloves before he open it. He and Agent Gray paying attention on the book carefully and then they looked at me.

" Where did you get this?" Agent Hampton asked me

" I stole it from Frank mansion " I said. " I need an insurance if he messed with me" I added.

" You can have the book, and you can arrest Frank. But you have to let me go now. I have to safe my friend." I said.

" Do you understand that you can't make a deal? This book is an evidence, it's belong to us now." He said as he put the book back into the plastic pack.

" Agent Hampton, which part of my word that you don't understand? If I don't go and deliver the ring, my friend died and its on you! " I said angrily.

" Wait, you can't blame me if your friend died?! I can't let you go because we have rules! You are a prisoner here! I caught you steal the ring! " He said in high tone pointing his finger on me. I don't like being pointed by finger!

" And I told you, I did that because a mobster kidnapped my friend and going to killed her! And Yes!! I will blame you, I will blame you, because of your stupid rules! " I told him angrily.

" Okay, okay enough! " said agent Gray.

" Sit down! " Agent Gray told me to sit, as I reflectly stand up when I talked to Agent Hampton. I sat back to my seat. Damn. I'm so pissed off with Jack.

Then he take Jack outside the room. I hear them arguing and then Jack make a phone called for a few minutes.

I tapping my fingers in the table and bitting my bottom lips as I wait for them unpatiently to come inside and let me go.

How am I going to escape this. Of course he won't let me go. I'm a criminal now. Caught doing illegal activity, stolen a $23 million diamond ring. Damn. I'm so f**k up. And I know the time is running.

After a half hour agent Hampton came in with burger, fries and drink on a tray. He put the tray in front of me.

" Eat your breakfast." he said

" I'm not going to eat before you let me go to Frank." I told him crossing my arm in front of my chest. I was hungry, but I don't want to give up that fast.

" Gosh you are so stubborn." he said and I glare at him.

" Eat, then you can go to Frank." he said. I widen my eyes, hear what he said. Did he really going to let me go to Frank's?

" Better hurry up, you don't have much time. " he said and leaving me.

He going to let me go? Seriously? I eat the food right away. And then after I finish my food, Agent Dalton came and told me to go with her. We walked to other room, it was the living room. There were more than 10 man in the room. Agent Gray walked toward me.

" Alexa, we are going to Frank house. Take this." he said as he gave me a backpack. Its not my backpack. But I took it.

" Are you going to let me go to Frank house?" I asked him again to make sure.

" Yes" he said.

" Okay, everyone ready?" a young man with messy brown hair, sunglasses, white shirt with a leather jacket and ripped jeans came to the room and asked them. Who is the handsome guy? Is he an FBI agent too?

The other answer with agreement.

" Let's go then, It's almost 8" he said again. Then he walked to me as the other walked outside the house.

" Let's go" he said as he grab my arms and took off his sunglasses.

I looked at him closely.

" A... Agent Hampton?" I asked him as I recognize him from closer. Damn! He looked more handsome when he dress like that.

" Yup." he said as we walked.

" Where are you going?" I asked him.

" Frank House" he said looking at me weirdly.

I looked at him unbelievable. Why he came with me to Frank's house?

" What? You don't think I will let you go just like that, don't you?" He said as he open his car door and let me seat in his passenger car seat. Then he took the driver seat and started the engine.

" Frank will be suspicious if I came with someone else" I explained to him. I think it was better if I go there alone.

" I'm not someone else babe, I'm your boyfriend." he said winked. What the f**k?

" My boyfriend? Oh, hell no!" I said.

" You don't acted like that 5 minutes ago when I walked into the room" he said laughing. " I know that staring"

What? Did he catch me staring at him in that room?

" I did not!" I said. But why my cheek feel warm? s**t!

And he laugh victoriously.

" Oh wow, this is going to be fun" he said. What? I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, I'm going now boys. I'll see you in Frank." he said as he drive his car. He talking to someone else, but he didn't hold any phone with him

" I'm off now. I'll be in touch later." he said.

" Did you have a wire with you?" I asked him. He nodded.

" You know they will search you, right?" I asked him.

" they would not know, trust me."

" up to you. I'm just saying" I said.

" So what's the plan?" I asked him

" the plan is... You and I are going inside Frank house, giving the ring and bring back your friends Katherine. " he said.

" Just like that? " I asked

" Just like that. " he answer, took a glance at me. Then he paying attention to the road.

" And how about the others? " I asked about his other FBI friends I saw earlier.

" They will going in after we get out. " he said.

" Okay. " I said. And then what? Are they going to let me go? I don't think it's the answer. They definitely going to put me in jail. I sighed.

" What was that?" he asked.

" What what?" I asked him back.

" why you sighed ?" he asked.

" It's nothing." I said " just a bad day for me"

" Well, better don't be a thief " he said.

" That's what Max always said, and looked where I am now" I said showing him his handcuff on me.

He raise his brow.

" What exactly are you doing? Why are you stealing anyway? I mean the necklace robbery, that was you isn't it?" he asked me.

" are you expecting me to admitted a robbery?" I said to him.

" I know it was you." he said seriously. "Max made you do it?" he asked.

He caught me that time, even he did not arrest me like now.

" No." I said. " Max did not agree I did that. But he had no other choice but to put me in. Frank treat him to do the job, and he got accident at the workshop, so I did the job, because he can't." I explained.

And now I admitted did a crime to an FBI agent. Stupid me!

" So, it was also Frank who force him?" he asked.

" Yes,"

" Why? What he treat him with?"

" I don't know" I answered. I don't want to tell him about our real identity.

" Are you really Max daughter?" he asked me again.

" That's the mansion" I told him. Right in time I didn't want to answer him.

Then he halt and check something in his clothes.

" I'm close to frank mansion. Everyone in position?" he talked to his friend.

" okay", he said.

Then he uncuffed me. He gave me a small box.

" It's the ring, put it in your bag." he said.

I did what he said.

" Are you ready?" He asked me

" Ya, I have to save Kate." I said.

" Okay," he said as he start driving and enter Frank Mansion.

We talked with the security in the front gate. I told him, I have an appointment with Frank. And I gave him my name. Then he let us inside after he check with Frank.

Jack and I step down from his car and walked to the entrance door where we met with Frank body guard and he search for us before we get in the building. And surprisingly we passed. They didn't find the wire.

" Did you bring any gun with you?" I asked him whispering. He just raise his one brow and walked with me. Frank's man lead us to Frank office, he already wait for us.

" Alexa! I've been waiting for you!" He said as he raise his hand and pat my shoulder.

" And who is this with you? " he asked me about Jack.

" My.. Boyfriend" I said

" Ooh... No Harry?" he asked.

" No, thanks to you." I said

He laugh hear me say that.

" Dont be so sarcastic Alexa..." he said still laughing.

" Did you bring what I asked?" Frank asked me about the ring.

" Where is my friend?" I asked him back. I don't want to gave him the ring before I know Kate is alright.

" She is fine." he said, then he told his man to picked up Kate.

His man came after 5 minutes with Kate. She looked terrible and scare.

" Kate, are you alright? " I asked her.

She nodded.

" I'm scare Alexa." she said.

" It's alright, you with me now. " I said

" Where is it Alexa?" Frank asked me

I took Kate and put her beside Jack, then I took the ring from my backpack and gave it to Frank. Frank accept it and open the ring's box.

" Very well Alexa! You did a great job! " he said. " You pretty much like your dad. "

" Can we go now Frank? " I asked him

" Not that fast Alexa." he said with his vicious smile. What else did he want?

" You see... Few days ago I lost something from my house. Do you know any idea where it is?" He asked me as he reach for his gun. And so is his man in his office. This can't be good.

" I don't know what you are talking about" I said

" a book? Perhaps you remember?" he said walking closer to me

" Wait Frank! " Jack said, but Frank man hold him.

" This is no good" Jack said.

" Shut up!" Frank told him

" Where is it Alexa?!!" Frank said as he pushed me and pin me in my shoulder to the wall. I can't breath.

And then we hear loud noises from outside. Frank loosen his grip on me and looked outside. That's when Jack hit Frank's man down and he took his gun and pointing to Frank.

" Freeze Frank! FBI! " he said.

Kate looked so scare and she run to me and hugged me.

Frank reach his gun and shoot Jack. Jack dodged in time and hiding behind the couch. While Kate and I hide beside a cabinet near us.

" Give up Frank! You are besieged!" Jack said.

But Frank did not want to gave up. He shoot to Jack direction. But he missed and running out of bullets. Then he raise his hand.

Jack walked to him slowly and handcuffed him. We can still hear gun shoot outside.

" You will pay for this Alexa." Frank said to me.

Jack hold his wrist tighter as frank grimaced and curse him. But Jack only smile.

" Let's go" He said to Kate and I.

We followed him outside Frank's office. Gun shoot between Fbi and Frank's man still on going outside. We took cover as Jack started to shoot at the mobster men in the building.

" Take him," Jack said as he turned over Frank to me.

" What?" I protest him. What am I going to do with him?

Jack being busy shooting all over the place. We step forward as he shooting down Frank's man, until we reach front door and met with his Fbi team. They still shooting the rest of Frank's man. I saw an opportunity for me to escape.

" Kate, I have to go. You'll be save with these man. They are Fbi agents." I said.

" Where are you going Alexa?" She asked me.

" I can't tell you. I have to go." I said as I hugged her. I know Kate will be save with them.

" Alexa..I'm sorry about your dad. It must be hard for you" She said holding my arms.

" Thank you Kate. And thank you for be there in his funeral." I said as I hugged her again.

" I got to go, Kate. Good bye" I said my good bye to her. I had to go before the FBI finished.

I gave Frank and Kate to one of FBI agent on the scene and I move backward slowly as the agent being busy protecting them from the gun shoot.

I took one of the FBI car and drive away. Agent Hampton saw me when I drive the car, but he can't catch me because he still have to fight against the mobsters.

I exhaled in relieve when I reach the main road. I park the car near gas station and then walked to my motel. I took my stuff and check out the motel. And then I go to the shop to buy some clothes, wig and a new phone.

I check in another motel and then took a hot shower.

I had never felt like this in a day. I was tired and sleepy as hell. It was only 11 am when I finally layed my self on the bed and fall asleep.
