Chapter 17

Alexa POV

I saw Jack still fighting with the man.

I struggle and tried to escape. I bite the man's hand covered my mouth.

"Awwww" a man voice scream in pain after I bite his hand. He release his hand on my mouth and loosen his grip on me. I tried to escape, but he catch me again.

" Jack!" I called. Jack looking at my direction and surprised to see me catched by other man.

Jack tried to fight the other man, he was angry. And I keep struggle releasing the man grip on me. The man was bulky and he was to strong. Even the combat that Max teach me didn't compare to his strength. The Police were coming when the man took me out of store and drag me to the parking lot. There were 2 police car, and 4 police step in the parking lot.

" freeze! " the polices said as they pointing gun to the man

The man who kept me reach for his gun inside his suit and pointed to my head.

I was so scare and sweat all over me. It's not the first time a man pointed gun on me. Jack did, but I know he will never going to shoot me, but this man? He can shoot me any time. And it scared me.

" Stayed back or I will shoot." he said. The police stayed back, they don't want to risked me getting shot.

"Put down your gun now!" he order the police men. They all pull the gun down to the ground.

More cops are coming, and I still can't see Jack around. Where is he? How is he?

The man drag me to his car and handcuff me to the car seat. Then I hear a gun shoot from inside the store. Some police run inside the store.

" Jack!!" I scream his name. Is he being shot? Is he okay? I was so scared and worried, I can't see him around.

The man started his car with his gun still pointing on me. Then he drive me away. He put his gun down on his dashboard, as he accelerate his car away from the scene.

" Please let me go" I said. I have to go back and see Jack.

" Shut up!" he said without looking at me.

I started to cried, thinking that the other man shot Jack. Another man died because of me? No, please not anymore! Not Jack!

I can hear the Police sirene from far before I saw their car chasing us from behind. They were still in far distance, but they move closer.

Police cops get closed and told his to pulled over, but he bumped his car to the police car instead and he got the police car out of the road and hit a tree.

Another police car same, and they chasing around. I was screaming all the way.

" shut up woman or I will shoot!!" he yelled at me.

I tried to quite and cover my mouth every time I want to scream. He conquer all the police car and drive fast. He pretty good at driving.

And then a car moving close to us. Is it Jack? He chased us from behind and bumped his front car to the man rear car. I can't see clearly who's inside that car. I hope it's Jack.

The car move fast and match the kidnapper car, he open his passenger car window. And I saw it was Harry!

" Harry!!!" I call his name

" Hangin there Alexa" he said to me.

Harry bumped his car to the man car. They bumped each other. Harry got out road, but he came back and bumped the kidnapper's car hard.

The kidnapper lose his control and drive out of the road to unsteady ground. He tried to control his steering wheel but he was late, the car hit a big tree and we both got push to the front, and hit the airbag.

My head was dizzy and I tried to keep conscious. I looked around and open the car door. I step out of the car, but my hand was handcuffed to the car seat.

I saw Harry came to us, he run to the driver seat, drag the kidnapper and hit him to the ground until he can't wake up anymore.

" Harry!!" I call him

He look at my direction and walked fast to me and hugged me.

" Are you okay?" he asked me worried.

" I'm fine. Can you open this?" I asked him.

" Hold on" he said as he walked back to the kidnapper and search for the cuff key. He came back and open the cuffed.

" How do you find me?" I asked him

" I followed your news. I know it was you when the TV broadcast the news in St. Louis and then Evansville. And I look for you until I hear what happen in Lexington." he explained.

" Let's get out of here. " he said as he drag me to his car

" Wait, I have to go back." I said as I stop near his car.

" go back where? You need to hide, FBI and bad guys looking for you" he said

" I--"

"Freeze!!" a familiar voice yelled. Harry took his gun to the voice direction.

" Wait!!" I scream at Harry.

I looked at the voice direction. It was Jack!!

" Jack!!" I called him as I run to him and hugged him reflectly. He hold me with one hand and the other hand pointed his gun to Harry.

" Did he shot you? Are you hurt?" I asked him

" Alexa??" Harry called me with question look.

" I'm fine. Are you okay?" Jack asked me.

I nodded. I saw his face has bruises in his cheek, chin, temple and lips.

" Put the gun down." I said to both of them

" It's Harry" I told Jack.

" The old man?" Jack said.

" What? I'm not that old!!" Harry said as he put his gun back to his suit. Knowing that Jack is not a threat. And so is Jack.

" What did you say to him about me Alexa? That I'm an old man?" Harry asked me, as he walked closer to me.

I rolled my eyes to both of them.

" Jack, this is Harry. Harry, this is Jack" I introduced them both.

" I know who is he." Harry said as he offer his hand to Jack. They shook hands.

" Let's go Alexa." Harry said to me as he grab my hand.

" Wow hold on! She is coming with me! " Jack said as he hold my other hand.

" He is an FBI " Harry told me.

" Let me talked to him" I told Jack.

" Fine" Jack said as he release my hand and move slightly, laying his back on his car.

" Harry, I have to go with him." I told Harry.

" What do you mean? You want to go to jail?" Harry asked me a little bit in whisper.

" No, I don't want to go to jail." I said to Harry.

" He know about my past, and he will help me to put the scar man in Jail." I explained him.

" Alexa, do you know who he is? It's danger!" Harry said.

" I know who he is Harry, and I'm not going to run anymore!! I want he pay for what he had done not only to me, but to Max and other girls he killed! " I told Harry with so much anger to Xaverius Black. The man who make my life suffer!

" Are you sure? " He asked me again" You will be exposed" he added.

" I know Harry, I'm tired running away and hiding all my life." I explained to him

" I can't protect you if you do that Alexa" Harry said.

" It's alright. He will protect me." I said pointing to Jack. Jack clear his throat. Harry looking at him.

" You like him don't you?" he asked me. Why he asked that? He know Jack can hear him.

" What? No! He.. He is not my type" I said, I know Jack can hear me.

" Of course, Her type is old man" Jack murmered, but I can hear him. What?

" Oh, and I'm so lucky because I'm not your type either." I said to Jack

" Definitely. You are so stubborn" he said.

" Oh ya? But you said I'm attractive" I said to him.

" And When did I said that?" He asked me.

" Well, I......" I was about to answer him, but I cancel it. I don't want he know that I woke up and eardrops his phone conversation this morning.

" Did you...?" he want to asked me something, but he cancel it. I think I know what he want to asked me. And I'm glad he didn't asked.

" Oh well you two can continue fight, I'm going out of here." Harry said.

" Wait Harry, do you still have cool drink in your car? " I asked him. He always have a cooler in his car.

" Sure, you want some?" he asked me

I nodded. He took some of drink cans for me, and then he put it back.

" You know what, take the cooler, you are going to need more" he said as he pull out a cooler from his back seat and gave it to me.

" Thank you Harry" I said as I hugged him good bye.

" Anytime Alexa. Take care" he said. And then he step in his car and drive away.

I walked to Jack's car and put the cooler in his back seat. I took 2 can of coke and put it on Jack's roof car, And then take his first aid kit.

" Let me see that" I said as I hold his face.

I clean up his bruises with cleansing wipes and then put the cool drink can on his bruises. He keep quite when I did that.

" hold this" I told him to hold the can while I took some antiseptic cream and smeared it in his bruises skin.

" Did you hear my phone conversation this morning?" he asked looking at me.

" a little" I answer him

" So, you are awake already?" he asked me with his observing looked.

" No, I just hear your voice." I answered.

" Lier "he said smiling. I didn't say a word.

I press a little bit deeper on his bruises in his lips

" Awwww" he scream and grimaced.

" Sorry" I said and tried to hold on my smile from him.

" I see that" he said his eyes pointing to my lips. I might accidently release a small smile in my lips. I took a glance at him and let out a smile.

" You are good now. " I said as I took a coke can from his hand, open it and drink it.

He open the other coke can and do the same, and then he open his car door and sat in his driver seat. And I followed to seat on his passanger seat. And we drove away continue our journey to Fbi headquarters.

He got few phone called from his head quarters and from Sam, asking about our location. And then he picked up another call after hanged up from Sam.

" Ya Sam," he said.

" Candice?" he suddenly call her name. I looked at him. His annoying girlfriend.

He looked at his phone called ID and pat his forehead.

I think he thought it was Sam called him. But it was Candice. I smile in amused.

"I'm sorry, I've been busy. And I'm driving. I can't talked right now." he said to Candice. It looked like Candice didn't like with what she hear, and she angry with him. Well, I would be angry if my boyfriend did that. Maybe.

" Candice, you can do whatever - - "

" I told you we are not - - "

" I can't - - - "

" You know what? I have nothing to tell you anymore, bye Candice " he said as he hanged up.

And then his phone ringing again this time the ID caller is ' annoying girl'. Did he really name his girlfriend annoying girl?

He didn't picked up the phone. Just took a glance at it and keep driving.

I clear my throat.

" Are you going to picked up that phone? "

" It's your annoying girlfriend calling" I said teasing him.

" She is not my girlfriend anymore. We broke up"

" Oh, I'm sorry." I said.

" Will you cuffed me if I pick up for you?"

" Please" he said as he gave me his ringing phone.

So I picked up the phone.

"Hello" I said as sweet as possible.

" Who is this? Where is Jack?"

" It's Maddie, Jack girlfriend. Who is this?" I asked her pretend. Jack eyes widen at me. And I raise my brow on him.

" You are what? I'm Jack girlfriend. Where is he? I want to talked with my Jack." she said

" Well, he is not yours anymore. He is mine now."

" You b***h! " oh wow! That's rude!

" Candice, Please get over it. He is not your anymore. Bye Candice." I said and then hanged up.

" What are you doing Alexa? " He asked me

" Helping you? " I said

And Candice called him again.

" Yes, candice?" I answered her call.

" It's you again! Where is Jack?" he asked my with hatred.

"Jack is in the bathroom. He can't talked to you." I told her lying

" Bye Candice" I said good bye to her again.

I hanged up the phone

And she called again, and I loud speaker her phone called

"Yes Candice?" I answered her call for I can't remember for how many times.

"Where is Jack? What did you do to my Jack?" she asked me. I can hear her pissed off with me.

What did I do to jack? I tried to hold my laugh and so is Jack. We both giggled. How evil we are.

"I give what Jack always want " I said

" You...."

" Im sorry candice, he really don't want to talked to you again. Bye" I said to her.

And then she called again.

" Seriously Jack, what did you gave her?" I asked Jack.

" What woman always want" he said winked. I rolled my eyes on him.

" I think you should talk to her Jack. Just say if you are break up and don't want to meet her again." I told him

" I did that and I don't know why she keep calling me. " he said.

I looked at him and offering him the phone.

" Fine" he said finally

He pulled over his car and picked up her called.

" Yes, Candice it's me."

" Yes, Maddie and I, we were together."

" No, I'm not cheating on you. We were broke up last week Candice. You know it."

" You said we are done, and I said fine."

" And I don't think I can be with you anymore. I have Maddie now."

" Yes, I... Love her" he said turned around and lower his voice. I cover my mouth hear him say that.

" I'm sorry, but I hope you are understand." he said.

" Bye now" then he hanged up.

And she didn't called again.

" Congratulation, now you are single" I said.

" Who said that? I'm with Maddie now." he said winked.

" Yeah, you are still not her type anyway." I mumble.

" I hear that" he said.

" And I hear that you said you love me" I said teas him.

" Just shut up" he said as he turned on the radio loudly.
