On my way out, I stumbled upon a figure I didn't expect to meet. Her eyes were watery and reddish like someone who had shed tears for some time.

I didn't want to stop, so I focused my gaze on my track. But she dragged me to the corner, and in the next moment, a heavy smack twisted my neck to the side.

The ground beneath me crumbled. Everything went zigzag in my sight.

I couldn't even rub my cheek. My lips dropped open, eyes widened in shock.

“You're even a slave, yet to claim to be all that I mentioned last night, huh?” Her voice rose at each word. “On what ground do you have to take my place? Do you know my worth?”

I deliberately swirled my neck to the side to face her. My palm now rubbing my swollen cheek.

“Want to beat me up? Then do it if you can.” She clenched her fist. “I am Shirley. The alpha king's submissive and the only woman who can sate his s****l cravings. How dare you try to steal my place in his heart? Who said you could give him a blowjob than me?”

My belly twisted into a knot. She was his submissive. What does that have to do with me? Was I the one who sent her out? Does it matter if I'm a slave?

“Slaaave….” She stretched the word like it tasted of honey in her tongue. “I won't stand it again if you dare to obstruct my way. Alpha Deve is mine and I won't share him with anyone.”

I couldn't help but chuckle. Was he referring to my sister's mate? Like, the man I was beginning to yearn for…

“You just laughed?”

A nod. Who the f**k was she?

Even the slave mistress and the alpha’s beta treated me with respect. So why does she think she has the right to tell me what to do?

I closed the distance between us, swallowing down the pain that swelled in me.

Before she could open her lips to speak, my hands flew in the air and I smacked her cheek so hard that she staggered backwards.

I wasn't the weak twin sister who had no one by her side anymore. I was now a slave….the alpha king's special slave. I have both him, his beta, and the mistress by me. So how dare she?

“Did you just….

“I will do it as many times as I want. Didn't you hit me first? You expected me to stoop low because I'm a slave when I'm innocent? He's the alpha king and can have as many women as he wants. Isn't it?” I yelled, but I hated that I had to say that. Why would he have so many women in his life? I'm also too possessive to share him with some other woman.

Shirley scoffed and nibbled her bottom lip. “A slave yelling at me? I can't believe this. Do you call for death?”

“Do your worst!” I hissed at her. “If you hurt me, the alpha king won't take it easy with you.” I pointed fingers at her face and turned back, leaving her.

I must admit that I didn't know I had such courage. Was it because my wolf awakened? I had always wished to shred Estelle apart, or at least beat her to a pulp at home, but I always lacked the strength.

But just now, I was fueled with some kind of power that flowed through my veins.

‘Alpha Deve is ours, not hers.’ my wolf chipped into my thoughts.

I giggled, “Yeah! Whether he's our mate or not, he's ours.” I licked my lips and fastened my steps.

By the end of the day, after I had my dinner in the mistress's room, I was taken back to the cell. But this time, I had a mattress and duvets which I used to sleep in. I felt so comfortable even more than in my father's house.

This alone was okay for me. I wasn't asking for much.

At midnight when I woke up, I sat, my back leaning on the wall as everything that had occurred during the day resonated in my memory.

That lady's face appeared before my eyes and I simply shrugged it off.

“Shirley, I understand you had developed feelings for your master even though it should be against your contract with him. But, my bond with him is so strong that I crave him now and then. If you even quit being his submissive, I will love it most, because I'm not leaving him for you either. Just focus on your deal with him and don't try to mess up with a slave like me.”

It was a whisper, to myself, and to that lady who slapped me.

A part of me pities her, because she would be hurt that the man she fell for isn't reciprocating and another woman was coming into the show. But, neither do I want her around him either. I want that man all to myself.

After sitting for a long time, I became so pressed I couldn't bear it any longer. I reached out and shook the cell door and one of the guards approached.

“Alpha's slave, what is it?”

Is that my new name now? Alpha’s slave?

I honestly loved it.

“I want to use the restroom,” I said to him, and without hesitating, he unlocked the door as if he trusted every bit of me.

He led me out of the prison building and directed me to the shortest place I could relieve my bladder.

I had to make use of the place, but I noticed he was gone when I returned.

Unlike my father's residence that was always dark at night, there was light all over the place…no trace of darkness. One could even mistake it for noon.

‘What about we take a short walk since we don't feel like sleeping?’ my wolf uttered in a daze.

I nodded, threw my hands backwards and headed towards the gate. “If they call us back, then we return.”

But no one stopped me. I left the prison yard entirely, taking any single route I knew. Not to the alpha's main palace building, but to an entire place I didn't know even existed.

At a time, my feet were glued to the floor. I inhaled a strong scent from two different angles.

One was a wolf in anguish, and the other was a wolf in distress.

I looked at my sides, not sure which one to go to.

“What could be their problem? It's midnight and such wolves are outside?” I couldn't help but soliloquise.

I hadn't ever felt that way, but the aura from them that hit me was so strong I could end up sharing their burden with them.

‘Elea, let's try to save them. They should be resting by this time.’

I sighed heavily. Isn't saving them too risky? I don't even know who they are or the exact place they are. “Can you find out their ranks?” I asked my wolf. Maybe, upon knowing their ranks, I would know if I could help them or not.

But one thing I knew was that they were males.
