Pains

I woke up with a start, my heart beating heavily. It felt like the room was on fire,the heat is unbearable, Something heavy was draped over my waist and the room was
spinning, dark spots were gathering at the corner of my eyes. I felt trapped and restrained, I tried to move but couldn't move, so I started screaming and panting as I desperately tried to escape this heat.
"Young lady?"
The voice sounded far away, a silent echo
amongst the loud ringing in my ears.I grimaced as I felt pain shoot through my head and I instantly gripped the sides of it, feeling as though my head was about to
explode. Everything that touched my skin
felt like fire, a scream left my mouth as I squeezed my eyes shut against the pain, beads of sweat forming on my forehead and coating my body. Even my own tears felt like hot water pouring down my face and all I wished for, was for it to be over.
I felt myself tumble and land hard on my back, another high pitched scream left my mouth as the ground clung to me.I couldn't take it anymore, stars were appearing behind my eyes, my head pounding with fire. I heard rushed voices all around me but I couldn't tell who it was, everything was coming out jumbled.
'Pack doctor, help her…heat' What!?
were saying and I desperately needed someone to tell me what was happening to me, where this pain was coming from.
The pain was subsiding slightly and I could now make out sentences. I heard someone say,
"I found her in the woods, she collapsed and I brought her here. "
"This is a rare case, in all my years of being a pack doctor, this has never happened before. "
another voice spoke, it was a male.
"So you don't know what is happening to her?"
The first voice asked.
"I know very well what's happening to her, she is turning into a werewolf.”
"Werewolf?!
What are these people talking
about? The pain that had subsided earlier
came back and rammed into me like a tsunami. I wanted to scream, to cry out in pain, the immense burning sensation enveloped me, giving me no escape from the heat, but my body wouldn't move. In a matter of a second,I could feel my bones breaking literally. The pain was unbearable and I released uncontrollable screams. Every bone in my body was breaking, as if they were rearranging themselves. I felt pains from each of the bones that broke.
Then it stopped but I couldn't stay awake any longer.
Gray's POV
"I want this ceremony to be memorable,my mother suggested that we hire the best event planner and … "
"Chloe it's just a ceremony, I don't think all these things are necessary."
I said and she got up from the couch she
was sitting at and walked towards my office table, then sat on top of it, revealing her thighs.
"But this is a once in a lifetime thing. Being the Luna of this pack is what I have always dreamt of and finally it is happening."
Chloe said while leaning towards me,I was so not in the mood for all this.
"I want to be alone."
It came out as more of a command.
"You always do this, pushing me away. Our mating ceremony is tomorrow, When are you finally going to touch me. This is unfair!"
She shouted and that just got my wolf on the edge. No one raises their voice at an Alpha, that is a sign of disrespect, with that I grabbed her neck.
"Don't you ever talk to me in that manner again!"
I said followed by a growl, then I tossed her to the side.
"I -I'm s-sorry."
She stuttered while holding her neck, and breathing heavily. I walked out on her, her sight just irritates me. She has forgotten her place. I am her Alpha and she had no right to talk to me in that manner.
“ Alpha someone was found in the woods” my beta mindlinked me, while walking out of my office.
“ A rogue?”
“She doesn't smell like a rogue alpha”
“ So what is she doing in our territory?”
“We haven't found out yet, she's still unconscious”
“ When she wakes up, bring her to me, I want to interrogate her myself.”
I told Richard my beta. I normally leave this kind of thing to my beta or gamma, I don't know why I suddenly want to do it myself.
Skylar's POV
I opened my eyes and discovered that I'm in an unfamiliar room. I looked around the room and it seem as if I'm in the hospital, but how did I get here? Then it all came back, I remembered the burning sensation that spread across my body, the voices that I heard, and the words that I managed to hear and I started panicking, where am I? Who were those people? What happened to me?
My snapped quickly to the door that was beginning to open and I began to panic. Then a petite lady, with traces of grey hair that appeared on her long black hair walked in and I was drawn by her light blue eyes, she smiled slightly at me and all the fear that I had before was starting to ease.
"Thank goodness you're awake, let me quickly call the doctor. "
She said while smiling with a slight hint of relief, then went out. After a few minutes the door opened again and the same lady
walked in but this time she was followed by a middle aged man, I suppose this is the doctor.
"I'm Dr Roberts, but you can call me Isaac.
How are you feeling?"
He asked while taking a seat near my bed. I kept quiet as I didn't feel comfortable replying to his question. He seemed to have noticed my discomfort then he said,
"Please feel free. You are very safe here."
Somehow his words made me at ease.
"I-I'm f-feeling alright." I stuttered.
"I'm Susan by the way, I'm the one who found you in the woods.”
The lady said.
"Thank you.”
That's all I managed to say.
"I'm sure you must have a lot of questions, especially about what happened to you, but before I explain everything,I would need you to answer some few questions. "
Dr Roberts said.
"okay." I said.
"Can you please tell us your name and where you come from"
"My name is Skylar Summers and I'm from Bristol”
I answered truthfully. They both looked at each other in shock and looked back at me.
"Do you know where you are?"
He asked and I shake my head, then he said,
"You're in Birmingham which is miles away from Boston. How did you get here and
why did you leave Bristol?"
He asked and I began to panic again, I couldn't tell them what I had done and why I ran. They might report me to the police, they will never understand that it was a
mistake. The lady came by my side and took my hands and gently squeezed them, then she said,
"You can trust us Skylar."
I saw the sincerity in her eyes and I believed her..
"I-I killed my stepbrother."
I said and tears sprinted out of my eyes,
"But I swear…it was a mistake…he…he was trying t-to r**e me. I-I d-don't know what happened, it wasn't my intention, it just happened, all I saw was blood and my mouth…" I trailed off and I realised I was trembling.
"It's okay sweetie, it's okay."
Susan said while gently rubbing my back,I was now in her embrace.
