EPILOGUE
THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE agreed to drop charges against Rick. Cindy and I had to plead guilty to travelling with false identity and entering the country illegally. We received five years’ probation and all three of us agreed to testify at trial. Imad was never seen or heard from again. The FBI figured he got out of the country and is underground in the Middle East. There were only Conner and one high-level employee at Homeland Security and the two FBI agents who picked up Imad involved. They all pleaded out, so there were no trials.
