CHAPTER 24“Mr. Steelgrave, Mr. Steelgrave. Wake up.”
I opened my eyes and lay on the cot, coming back to reality. I sat up and the guard was standing outside my cell, with two men in suits.
“Mr. Steelgrave, are you okay?” the guard asked.
“I am fine, just in a deep sleep,” I said.
He then unlocked the door to my cell and opened it. The two men in suits walked in and the shorter of the two said, “Mr. Steelgrave, come with us.”
“Where are you taking me?” I asked.
“To processing. You are going home. I would like to know who you must know.”
I was shocked. Not too long ago, I was being held on everything except murder and waiting to be processed and booked into jail as soon as they finalized the charges. I thought they were holding this off on as leverage to get me to flip on Cindy or Ri
