CHAPTER 9The phone rang. “Hello?”
“Jabir, this is Imad. What is the current status? We are running out of time.”
“There is one team in Florence looking for her. I have followed Steelgrave north to Castellamonte. Because he has family here, I thought she might meet him there, thinking the family would help them or her. But nothing has happened. No sign of her and he has just hung out with family.”
“What is he doing now?”
“He is doing nothing. He has not left the hotel. I have a room in a small hotel a block from his and I am monitoring his phone and it has not moved.”
“What time is it there?”
“11:30 a.m.”
“I think you better find an excuse to call the hotel to make sure he has not tricked you and left.”
