JIM MARINO, MY FRIEND for thirty years, was the head of a large security firm with its main office in San Francisco. We met while serving on various foundations years ago. When I started my business, I got involved in the community and we met. We liked each other immediately. It seemed we both had the same attraction to helping the underdog, the little guy who never got a break.
